Dr. Lynn Chang is a dream come true! Our company was bringing on two new staff members for the first time in about 8 years. We thought it would be a good idea to have a retreat to get to know each other better, figure out our collective "brand" and learn each other's strengths and weaknesses in the workplace. For ten years I had been advancing along a career path I knew wasn't a great fit for me - I wanted a change but wasn't sure how to navigate that. I had a lot of support (and opinions!) from family members and friends but what I was lacking was *my own* vision and self-leadership. Lynn has been paramount to my career change by providing tools and points of reflection to help me move along a path that energizes me and is well aligned with who I am and what I want to achieve in my life. Attending Lynn's Career Clarity workshop helped me to reflect on my values and skills. I had an idea of what my "dream job" was (in fitness) but didn't see it as a viable option and pushed along a path that made sense to me from a financial standpoint (actuarial studies). Actuarial work would use the skills I had but was not well aligned with my personal goals and values. As I continued to work with Lynn, I saw that I was selling myself short. I saw how it was possible to align my values and personal goals with my career, and I opened up to making a career shift that focused on this alignment. I had the privilege of working with Lynn Chang during my application to a competitive graduate program.
