If you're reading these reviews, then you are probably like I was, searching through all sorts of resume websites trying to see which ones are legit and which ones spit out generic resumes and at the same time applying to jobs with an average resume and wondering if it's good enough. I can tell you that Mary's resumes are tailored to you and for the jobs you are applying for. I worked at Apple for fifteen years, and over that time, I only applied for internal positions. For the first time in over a decade, I was applying to jobs outside of the company! How do I put 15 years of experience in 1-2 pages?! Not to mention I am not the best writer, nor am I up to date on any of the hiring trends, resume preferences, etc. I reached out to Mary for help. She responded to me quickly, and after meeting and discussing my career, we started the process. Pros and cons. I am writing the review because I rely on my fellow yelpers and want to help. Pros - local business, fast responses and friendly. Cons - maybe too fast? I found mistakes in my resume. Typos like equity was missing an e. Acting was titled "active." In the cover letter I was referred to as a male when I identify as female. One of my jobs was left out of my resume without an explanation. I asked it be reinserted. It was but with the wrong title, not the one from the resume I provided and the description was very much lacking compared to the other entries. I was glad I asked for it to be reinserted because the recruiter even mentioned on the phone with me that she was checking for any gaps in employment. When we had our initial discussions I said I would want to include diversity in my cover letter and it wasn't included until asked. There was a short time lag from consultation to retaining so I can understand why left out of the cover letter. There was no discussion on preferred template. I asked it be changed and it was without an issue; however, we could have discussed before hand to get it right initially. Overall the service helped me get it kickstarted but there is no discount for bundling. I think if I was more adept at AI and I had time to watch YouTube videos about LinkedIn there are other ways to produce the product. read more
