I worked with Shylah J. on my resume. She was great. I went through 5 drafts, incorporating different things, asking her to somehow have my resume encompass different fields such as communications, management etc. and she did a really good job at cleaning up my language, keeping it concise, and incorporating everything that I need that is worth mentioning. If you work with executive drafts, ask for Shylah. She was very sweet, understanding that I took forever to respond due to work constraints, and was quick to reply back with updated drafts. read more

I paid extra for the "professional package" and added their LinkedIn resume service at the end of May, aiming to complete a refresh of my 16+ year resume. About a week later, I was put in touch with one of their "senior-level writers" who called me for a brief interview. Although I had shared both a long-form and short form version of my current resume in addition to my LinkedIn profile, it was clear that my resume writer had not reviewed anything at all before our conversation. While she was very personable, she struggled to understand basic technical terms and concepts and could not offer any appreciable advice on what she expected to improve, but I decided to try and trust the process. About 15 days after paying for services, I received my first draft which was simply a typographical reformat of my existing resume riddled with broken English, misspelled words, and poor grammar. The writer had simply cut and pasted the bullets I'd written together, while attempting to cut out random words to make sentences shorter. The resulting product was nonsensical, shoddy, and embarrassing in every sense of the word. I took a few days to reflect on the best path forward, then contacted the company to explain that it was clear they were not headed in the right direction. I explained that I thought it would be fair to offer partial payment for time already expended, but did not wish to continue with my writer. I was immediately put in contact with the company president Jeremy who spent the next month exchanging emails with me about all the things he was doing to fix the situation, going as far as to personally rewrite my resume himself. Over the 12 emails we exchanged during that month, I continuously asked to see the file he was creating, but he continued to brush me off and produced excuse after excuse. Finally, after receiving no files, no drafts, not even a snipped of text from Jeremy, he told me to keep in touch on my results and stopped responding entirely. Literally. Never. Received. A Resume. I have now contacted the company dozens of times requesting status updates, asking about my LinkedIn review, and literally begging for anyone to explain or engage about actually delivering on any of the things I paid for. I have lost 50 days of my time trying to get the service I paid for, and now I am being completely ghosted, and have resorted to writing my resume myself. Avoid this company like the plague, check the other reviews here on yelp, don't get scammed. read more

I paid for the professional package. I had a 30-minute consultative call to discuss my existing resume and received a (very) rough first draft 3 days later. The first draft wasn't what I expected and I could tell that Executive Drafts and I were not aligned in terms of my expectations and what they could reasonably deliver. Yes, it's an iterative process, but the language, style, and substance of the resume was so far off from what I expected that I didn't necessarily want to proceed any further. I reached out to inquire about *potential* refund options. I was not expecting a full refund nor did I feel entitled to one, but I was curious what kind of refund options were available to me since services were only partially rendered. I reached out and no response. I followed up again the next day- no response. I had to send 3 follow-up emails over the course of 3 days and only then did I receive an acknowledgement of my initial inquiry. Definitely professionals at work here. The owner responded with a VERY lengthy e-mail and rather than acknowledge that Executive Drafts may not be a good fit for everyone's needs, he instead challenged my judgement of what a resume should and shouldn't be. He continued to say that most of the work was done and complete.. but then mid-way through the e-mail said that the first draft was only 50% complete and there was still work to be done to arrive at a fine-tuned final product. So... which is it? I responded, and guess what? No response. If you're looking for any semblance of professionalism, I would suggest you look elsewhere. read more

I looked into several resume writing services before choosing executive drafts. I have now used them a couple of times and have recommended them to some friends. Even my husband ended up using them. Specifically, I recommend Diane Goebel. She gets the job market and how to write an effective resume. Everyone I have ever worked with at the company is polite, kind, and very professional. Excellent company with excellent writers. Worth every penny. read more

After doing business with Jeremy. I dont think i will ever use a resume writing service again.

Had a wonderful experience overall with Hannah. She was prompt and very interested in hearing my thoughts and opinions. From the initial call to the final resume, the process was smooth. I am very pleased with what I received from Executive Drafts. I highly recommend their service for your resume needs. read more

Due to my lack of experience, I really felt that I needed to enlist the help of a professional to make me more marketable. Unfortunately, I do not believe that was accomplished. Upon completion of my resume, I showed the end result to two separate friends in human resources and they both gave me a huge thumbs down and informed me that my resume would have instantly wound up in their trash. When I pressed them for feedback, they told me which parts were working against me and why. Everything they said made perfect sense. I feel I can only give two stars because of how easy it was for my resume to be dismantled and completely redone within a few hours using some quick tips and advice provided by my friends. I now have a resume I am truly proud of but I am completely disappointed that so much money was wasted and that opportunities would most likely have been missed because of a subpar resume. read more

After struggling to sort through all of the strong and diametrically opposed advice out there about how to write a resume, the current trends and expectations of hiring staff, the inclusion and formatting of a cover letter- I finally decided I needed to hire a professional service to guide me. Unfortunately there are also tons of those floating around out there to pick from. After more research and comparing packages/ pricing, I reached out via the chat function and was connected pretty quickly to the owner of the company, Jeremy. He answered my questions in depth and didn't push me to make a decision or a purchase. When I decided to go with Executive Drafts soon thereafter, I had a great experience with their staff from start to finish. I spoke again with Jeremy early on via email; I spoke with another staff member via the chat function; and of course I spoke at length with my resume writer. Everyone was polite, professional, and patient. The process took longer than I hoped but I definitely was at least partly responsible for that timeline and I am grateful to not have been rushed. I understand time is money and the more time staff spend on one client (me), the longer it takes for them to be available for their next assignment. I never felt like a clock was ticking. In the end I have a resume that includes all my relevant skills and accomplishments, which are unusually broad but the document still manages to tie them together. I have confidence in the formatting and the choices that led to the final piece because my team took the time to explain (sometimes more than once) all of that to me. I have a widely applicable cover letter and the understanding of how to adjust it for each job I apply to, and how to not mess it up. I also have a lot more hope and optimism in my job search than I did when we started, which is the most valuable part. Looking forward to great results. read more

Initially, I was on the fence about securing professional help with my resume and LinkedIn. After my first conversation with Jeremy, I knew I was making the right decision. I contacted Jeremy earlier this year to assist with my resume. Jeremy got back to me hastily and immediately got the ball rolling by setting up a phone interview. During that time, he asked many relevant questions about me and my background and proceeded to listen to what I was looking to do in the future, as well as what I was looking to get out of his services. After submitting the information that he needed, I had a rough draft back in a week. It took a couple weeks of working with him and his staff to get my resume the way I wanted it. Whenever direction/guidance was needed on details, Jeremy and his team were able to lead me to sound decision. They were very accommodating, patient, and responsive when it came to working with a busy professional (me!). As soon as I released my updated resume and LinkedIn profile into the wild, I was getting lots of attention. Within 3 months I had a new job! Thanks Jeremy! read more

I got the help I needed to some extent in the end from Hazel, and feel that this resume services company is not worth a try. Thanks to Hazel not only the grammar and spelling was corrected, but also some of the wording was changed. However, the page format was wrong and there were a lot of unnecessary words under the experience sections. I am still trying to correct those mistakes. I am a Food Scientist with gaps in my resume due to moving between countries, and also I have different positions held for shorter periods due to the same reason. I needed someone to help me with grammar, and marketing myself despite the challenges due to the above-mentioned reasons. Not only there were spelling and grammar mistakes (which is a big no in a resume - even one mistake), but some of my experiences were also unnecessarily deleted or experience descriptions were written in the wrong position. It was a total mess. I started to look at my resume as if it was somebody else's and was very frustrated. I'm not sure what their target and operating procedures are, but it does not look like they are sincerely interested in helping people. Just another commercial resume writing service that is solely interested in your money. I paid for their services on October 4, 2018, for a resume and cover letter, and my job is finished today on Nov 1, 2018. Even though I had told the first writer/editor (whose name I will not reveal here) in the beginning that she could take her time and bring out a successful job, she only took her time and sent me a so-called final draft that was far from being final. If you know the basics of writing a resume and cover letter, and you are a picky person about grammar (which you should be to get a proper job) this company is not for you. Save your money and do your research thoroughly and don't be fooled by their highly rated reviews as I did. read more

Second update: It seems that the service quality depends on the person working with you. After my first update Jeremy reached out to me and we decided to work together to fix what when wrong. Not only was he profesional knowing that I gave them such bad review, he mentored me through the process and provided tips tailor for my situation. I would love to give Jeremy 5 stars however when rating on here I have to be fair and rate the entire experience. I do recommend this if you want to get your resume in top form, just be picky and make sure you interview the person that will be helping you. Update: their system is flaw, I been using their resume for over two months and not a single call back. They need to get with the time and start to use words and methods that will get you pass the bots. I first did business with Executive drafts over two years ago, it worked wonders to my job hunting. Just recently I had them update the resume from two years ago and not only did they do a great job they gave me a discount since I was a repeated customer. I been so happy with the service they provided that I refer anyone that is looking for professional resume writing/advice here. read more

It was a pleasure working with Executive Drafts team and more specifically Lindsey. She was quick to respond, offered great ideas about my resume and in the end took the mess that was my info and shaped it into a very professional resume. The price was very reasonable and while I ope I don't need another resume anytime soon I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to them again! read more

I was referred to Executive Drafts through another Yelp user. After looking at the Executive Drafts website, I sent the company an email to inquire more about the services. After sending my initial email, Jeremy got in contact with me expeditiously, contacted me via telephone, listened to my needs, and recommended a resume package. I was very happy with the package that I chose. Jeremy spent a good hour getting to know me in the initial consultation. He asked me about my experience, my education and ultimately my career goals. After learning all of this, he got to work on the initial draft, and in a matter of days we had a follow up conversation to go over the initial draft. The new first draft was day and night compared to my old resume. I was very impressed with how much clearer and concise the resume looked after the edits. The look was very polished. Jeremy asked for my feedback, and after discussing a few changes, a few tweaks were made, and I was provided with a final draft that looked exactly how I wanted it, while still maintaining the latest industry standards. I highly recommend Executive Drafts to anyone looking to enhance their resume. I was highly satisfied with the results and the level of service that I received. If you're looking for positive results, Executive Drafts is the answer! read more

My husband and I are extremely happy with Executive Drafts. Professional, prompt, and willing to edit multiple times and work with you extensively on your resume. Both of us had completely different experience in other industries and needed to create resumes for tech, so it was difficult to make that transition smoothly in a resume. But they did a great job. We did not opt for the cover letter, but highly recommend the LinkedIn profile add-on. It seems pricey but well worth the money to save you the time and get something professional from someone who KNOWS how to get you sighted on LinkedIn and also to get those interviews. read more

I engaged Executive Drafts to help prepare my resume and prepare for interviews and was thoroughly impressed with the service. I dreaded having to update my resume... I've been working at the same company for almost a decade so needless to say, my resume had been neglected just a tad bit. I found Executive Drafts and Jeremy while browsing online for resume services and boy did I hit the jackpot. Jeremy knows what he's doing. He's knowledgeable about what today's companies are looking for in a resume and potential employee, great at analysing and communicating your strengths and did an amazing job updating and enhancing my online presence. The process was quick and easy and I ended up with more than I expected. As a bonus, the price was just right for my Families budget. Everyday I now look forward to the opportunity to apply for new jobs knowing that because I used Executive Drafts, I'm equipped with the right tools to deliver the right message to my potential employers. read more

First class experience from beginning to end. I will be using Executive Drafts moving forward and have recommended it to everyone I know who is serious about about their career. They quickly demonstrated impressive knowledge of my field (enterprise software sales) during the phone consultation, provided excellent advice and guidance throughout, and produced a superb finished product. P.s. I got the job! read more

Nick was great. He spent nearly an hour on the phone with me going over my work history and provided quality insight. He was friendly and easy to talk to. He followed up multiple times with drafts and the revision process was simple. I'm very happy with the result: my resume looks much cleaner and the language is much more suited to what employers are looking for. I've recommended Executive Drafts to my fiancee as well as some friends. read more

I worked with Jeremy and Trent in January to rewrite my resume. I was specifically looking to emphasize newer skills and de-emphasize others to change career paths. The interview, writing, and review took a couple weeks and was very thorough and really built up my confidence. I used my new resume to update LinkedIn and within 2 weeks I was getting contacted by recruiters for positions in my desired field. These were the kinds of contacts that led to actual interviews and by March I had an offer for exactly the kind of job I wanted, making more money, and with a shorter commute. One recruiter told me during a phone interview that I had "such a great resume." Executive Drafts is fantastic and I highly recommend them. read more

Very disappointing service. You can find much better advice for free. Jeremy doesn't have the qualifications to help.

Not worth the money, can go on fiverr and pay someone $50 for the same thing. After first draft really didn't make any changes besides enter in suggestions I made. Not worth paying $300 for at all. read more

This company spent a lot of time with me throughout the resume drafting process. My resume hadn't been updated since my first job as a teacher so it needed a lot of help! They asked quite a few questions to determine which content was most important for my resume. I was very pleased with the draft they sent for my review. They were able to update my resume to a modern look-and-feel and highlight my top attributes. I will definitely use them again for other services! read more

Jeremy and his team did a great job writing and polishing a resume and cover letter for me. Before finding Executive Drafts I had been using the same basic resume formula and format since college, just adding on jobs and experience as my career progressed. Jeremy was able to take a step back and look at my entire career and write resume that told a story showing growth and progress. Jeremy takes the time to work with you and understand your background before he puts pen to paper. We spent nearly an hour on the phone during the initial consultation so he could get my complete employment history and understand what direction I wanted to move in my career. After a couple rounds of editing back-and-forth, I got a completely re-crafted resume and targeted cover letter that clearly and concisely stated my own meandering thoughts that I had given Jeremy over the phone. So is it worth it? In my opinion, yes, recognizing that to maximize your benefit you have to be a willing participant. Jeremy and his team can only work with what you give them. If you are thorough and honest during the consultations, they definitely have the talent to present you in the best light possible to potential employers. It's still up to you to close the deal in the interviews, although I believe Executive Drafts also offers coaching in that area also. Thorough, professional, and friendly, Jeremy and his team know what they're doing and are great value for the money. I had a very successful experience and was able to progress in the direction I wanted with my career. read more

I learned of Jeremy's company through a Reddit post he made a while ago. I saw that he gave some really good advice and seemed very knowledgeable so I decided to give him a try, and I have to say that I'm very happy with the results! He first starts off with a phone call to learn more about you and your goals, and does a very good job explaining the changes he recommends and the logic behind those changes. He really made my resume 'pop' and I'm very happy with the final results. I can same the same thing about the cover letter - I didn't realize that I was going about it all wrong but he explained to me my issues and crafted a cover letter that has been very well received and thus far very effective. read more

Jeremy's passion for helping others with resumes and career services is refreshing. He takes the time to get to know you and what you are trying to accomplish. He also understands the latest trends and is continually perfecting his own craft and what industry standards are. His prices are extremely fair and I would recommend his services to anyone who is looking to start a career, or wanting to make a career change. read more

I was refereed executive drafts through my close friend, where he got a job in a month after he used executive drafts' services for his resume. After I engaged with them, I was assigned to Tiffany (She is the best!), and first of all she was listening and understanding my needs and my desired career path before she starts to construct my resume. I also updated my cover letter as well..Now I'm getting more frequent emails and calls from recruiters and interviews as well...It worth every penny...so my recommendation is to see this service as a personal investment...yes you can find maybe $50 or $100 cheaper services..but will they take it to the next steps for your career opportunity...Highly recommend this place! read more

I am not pleased with my resume and the feedback I have received on it. I have gotten zero call backs from companies and mostly receive immediate rejections or nothing at all. I understand that some of it is companies but I have had people review the resume and have been told that it needs more work and is average at best. On the plus side, I was impressed with the communication that I received from the company during the process and how prompt they were. read more

Very disappointed in the results. It definitely depends on who you work with. I even tried to get someone else to work with me after spending countless hours modifying the drafts of my resume that came back and questioning the reasoning behind the choices made. Instead, I only received a long dissertation defending the position of my resume writer, Lindsey. My friend who referred me had very good things to say and ended up with a stellar position. I felt as if I was rushed through the process to check all the boxes and sent on my way. Seven months later, I still do not have a job despite extensive qualifications. And now I have been told by a career counselor about several fatal errors and the wrong choice in format on my "professionally done" and very expensive resume. I have never spent this much for professional services like this (I got the Executive package) and feel foolish for doing so. I will say that Jeremy was very helpful in his interview counseling and feel he would be a good person to work with. He's the only reason for the second star. read more

Executive Drafts knows exactly what they are doing! I was blown away by the service and quality I received when working with Trent. We chatted on the phone where I walked him through my previous work experience and turned this into an amazing resume. After getting free resume critiques from several companies I went with Executive Drafts as theirs was spot on.
