When it comes to messing with gas in my home I have a no hands policy. I called Green Tech to schedule an appointment and left a VM around 6:15. At 6:45 I got a call back. The tech was calling me from his mobile while driving into the office. He literally walked me through what I had to do. "Have you ever lit a gas BBQ? Same concept." Did as he instructed and BAM, we are back in business. Green Tech could have come out and charged me an hourly, which I was willing to pay for, but instead taught an old man a new skill. This is not the first time they have walked me through an issue, hence why I call them for anything plumbing related. Can't recommend Green Tech enough.

I've found it increasingly difficult to find service companies that are knowledgeable in their field, responsive, honest and provide excellent customer service. Not only did Green Tech Plumbing check all these boxes, but they also offer fair pricing. A unicorn of a business. After being overcharged and underwhelmed by our previous plumber, I was on the hunt for a capable plumber to install a whole house water filtration system. From the moment I reached out to Green Tech Plumbing, they were nothing but responsive and helpful. I purchased the filtration system from a vendor, yet Kevin willingly answered all my questions (promptly!) about the system. He even pointed out that one of the options had expensive filters that would need to be changed frequently saving me hundreds of dollars in filters. What a gem! Kevin came out to look at how the system could be installed in our space and talked to me through how the system would work and answered all my questions. He then provided a fair quote. Once our system was delivered, I emailed to set up the installation. His team came out the following week for the installation. The tech Kevin sent was just as helpful! He moved the 100-pound tank from the garage to the basement, which wasn't part of their scope. The tech had to make a run to the hardware store to buy connection pieces that weren't included with system, but he knew exactly what to buy and did so in a timely manner. The install was speedy and flawless. The tech was even willing to stay while I called the vendor's water filtration system customer service expert to walk us through the start up process. On top of this great experience, I wrote a check for the incorrect amount and Kevin responded right away saying he would swing by and drop a check in our mailbox for the overpayment. Unreal! This is how you run a company!

Juan is truly one of the good guys -- honest, incredibly knowledgeable, punctual and always willing to figure out the best solution rather than simply recommending the easiest or most expensive option. The team has helped us find thoughtful solutions that incorporate great technology and quality products while still making sense for our house. Above all, Juan operates with tremendous integrity. After working with him for nearly eight years, he is someone we completely trust and the first person we call for anything HVAC-related. Highly recommend Elite HVAC!

This review is loooong overdue but I just came across my notes on this fiasco so better late than…read morenever. In May of 2022 I contacted Elite hvac because my AC was not working. The first day (Wed) Frank showed up but he was not able to fix it so he said he could come back the next day. He came back the next day (Thurs) hours after he said he would be there and he still couldn't fix it. He came back a third day (Fri) but he didn't even tell me when he arrived I just knew bc I saw he had set up his ladder and then after awhile I go check on him and he's gone, didn't tell me when he arrived and didn't tell me he was leaving. I called the company and they reached out to see where he was and he said he had left to another job but that he would come back and finish. Later this same day on Friday I get a text saying someone else was going to come the next morning. I had not been informed of this before the text so I was not able to be home as I had plans. Frank then texts me on Saturday saying he has all the parts he needs now and was heading over to fix it. I have no idea what he did that day as I was not home. Then I get a text Saturday night that Frank was going to come on Monday (again I never agreed to this date). So I wasn't there Monday but I know Frank did show up bc when I got home later that day my fuse box was out and he didn't even tell me! Luckily I don't recall my food or anything going bad even tho it was super hot out. That was Monday when the fuse box went out. Then on FRIDAY I get a text from Frank telling me that my AC should be up and running and that oh by the way my breaker tried. DAYS later he lets me know that my breaker tripped. So at this point it had been over 1 week since he started working on my AC and it was still not working. So then Wednesday (2 weeks after the initial appointment) they finally sent a different person, Raul. He got there on time and started everything from the beginning. He fixed it within minutes and even waited awhile to make sure it actually cooled. He also took my payment for the part that Frank had "fixed". I'm convinced I probably didn't even need the part but at this point they had been out there like 6 times so they probably didn't want to back track. Then five days later my AC stopped working again and this time the owner Juan was able to come out the next day and fix it quick. He said it was a loose wire. So all in all it took 3 weeks with Elite to get my AC working again. Glad Raul and Juan were able to fix it promptly the times they did go out instead of Frank but not a great overall experience on my end.

Seven days after I paid J. Blanton Plumbing $13,000 to line my sewer, their own technicians came…read moreback and drilled holes in it. Here is how that happened. The company recommended a cured-in-place liner for the main sewer line at my Park Ridge home. I accepted the recommendation and paid in full. The liner went in on August 3, 2026. On August 10, after heavy overnight rain, I found water across the full footprint of my finished basement. The house had never flooded before in the six years I've lived here. I called the company that day. The first crew could not determine where the water was entering. J. Blanton then sent back the same technicians who had installed the liner. One of them told me the liner had reduced the capacity of the original sewer pipe, recommended drilling holes through the new liner to relieve it, and did so. The water stopped. I asked the company in writing to clean up the basement and determine what had gone wrong. They denied responsibility and attributed the flooding to the absence of drainage tiles--an issue never raised when the liner was recommended, sold, or installed. Water mitigation cost just under $4,000. The baseboards were removed and drilled to dry the wall cavities behind them, and they still need to be replaced. J. Blanton offered to pay for remediation, but once my basement backflowed again, the remediation was useless. It's disappointing how they took no ownership and blamed me for not having proper drainage--with an offer to pay remediation cost. How did I know I didn't have proper drainage since my basement had never flooded before? So, the money I've paid for the pipe lining which I'd hoped would prevent anything like this happening, the first remediation and reconstruction will probably look like nothing compared to waterproofing, second remediation and reconstruction. If you are considering a liner, from this company or any other, ask in writing before you sign (even if they're rushing you): how does the finished interior diameter compare to my existing pipe, and will lining reduce flow capacity? What is your remedy if the lined pipe backs up? And if the drainage conditions at my house affect whether a liner is appropriate here, tell me now. That last conversation is one to have before the work, not after.
