Our annual main sewer line cleanout was $380 (a fraction of what we've had to pay for emergency services in the past, SUCH a deal) - we live in an area where our pipes are made of clay, so roots grow through the pipes and we need to get them cleared out regularly. We are going through a lot right now - we have an infant, I am postpartum, and our house is a mess right now, but the technician took it in stride and even talked with us about their kids. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism from their team and would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone in need of their services.

They came out last year for a new water filter, upsold us by claiming we had numerous gas leaks, and that our drain stack was "rotting and going to go at any minute" resulting in us feeling extremely pressured to pay for the work. We eventually got suckered into paying $40k and had to fight them tooth and nail to even close out the job and do the final inspection. Fast forward to this year, we call for a small back up in our basement and they quote us $5,000 to reroute a pipe. We wanted to get the video inspection from them and they wanted to charge us $250 for the video file! That's more than a new inspection! Avoid at all costs

After opening it up and realizing that this was beyond me, I found Keith based on a recommendation from my mother-in-law. He was everything she said and more. Not only was the dishwasher installed, but I had some inherited less than effective plumbing under my kitchen sink, he replaced the turn-offs and a few pieces of pipe that were significantly corroded. He came in, did not only what I asked, but also what I needed, was way more affordable than anyone else with incredible professionalism. He also took a look at some things in my house like my water heater. He let me know that my water heater looks great right now, though based on age I should keep an eye on it as most water heaters leak between 12 and 16 years old (mine is at like 15). He served me as a person, not as a quick job or buck. Thank you Keith!

Paul from Norblom assessed the situation and came up with a more cost affordable and easier to maintain solution for us to close up the broken pipe in the hard to reach location and run new pipe (up to code) to the side of the house. During his inspection he also found an issue with our dryer vent not being properly hooked up which is not something we would have noticed on our own. He was right on time in his time window, was very friendly, took the time to explain things to me, and most importantly was in and out in a few hours. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a professional to help with a plumbing issue.

I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. This was a quick, inexpensive repair with very friendly service. I've already given their name to a friend who's having plumbing issues at his home. Thanks Metro! Randy's Electric and Plumbing did an outstanding job installing my Tesla charger in my new garage…read more The quality of the work was top notch, and everything was done cleanly and professionally. The team was easy to work with, showed up on time, and made sure everything was set up perfectly before wrapping up. If you need electrical work done right the first time, I highly recommend Randy's.

This is my second Yelp review for Randy's Electric because my first one mysteriously vanished. I…read moredon't know how or why, but based on everything I've experienced, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to bury negative feedback. Their Google reviews are almost perfect -- yet everyone I've talked to says the exact same thing: their real-life service does NOT match their ratings. Maybe some reviews are real, but certainly not all. Now for my experience, which was absolutely infuriating: Jeremy came to my home and quoted me $2,700 just to convert two lights into ceiling fans and replace one GFCI outlet. The prices they charged were beyond ridiculous: $300 for ONE GFCI $150 for a simple light switch $500 EACH for two fan brackets ($1,000 total) -- brackets that cost $23 retail That's not a markup. That is taking advantage of people. Their behavior was just as bad as their pricing. They show all prices on an iPad. When I was on the phone asking someone if this sounded normal, Jeremy literally snatched the iPad out of my hand the second I finished talking. He guarded that iPad like his life depended on it because he knew the pricing was outrageous. Completely disrespectful and incredibly unprofessional. I asked for an itemized invoice with real part numbers and real labor charges. Jeremy told me, "I'll email it to you." I still have nothing. The only invoice I received was written in vague "units" -- a convenient way to avoid transparency and hide price gouging. And the worst of all: They quoted me $19,000 -- yes, NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS -- to upgrade my electrical panel from a split 60/120 amp setup to a standard 200 amp box. Other electricians quoted between $2,500-$4,500. Randy's Electric wasn't just high -- they were five to seven times the normal price. That is predatory and absolutely shameful. The owner even came out trying to justify the $500 brackets by saying they "add a yellow tag to every bracket." Later I learned that the yellow tag is just the manufacturer's tag that comes with the bracket. Nothing more. Another excuse. Another lie. Since this happened, I've talked to so many people -- and not a single person has had a positive experience with this company. Everyone says the same thing: overpriced, shady, rude, and preying on people who don't know electrical costs. Jeremy and the owner should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat people and for the way they conduct business. It is absolutely disgusting behavior. Randy's Electric preys on the unknowledgeable, the vulnerable, and the people who genuinely need help. Their lack of transparency, their predatory pricing, and their disrespect toward customers say everything you need to know. If this review stops even ONE person from being taken advantage of the way I was, then it's worth writing twice -- because Yelp deleted the first one. I will NEVER use Randy's Electric again, and I strongly warn anyone considering them: Run the other way. Do not let them take advantage of you the way they did to me.
