Replaced an old gas water heater that stopped heating. The plumber turned off the gas supply, drained the tank, and hauled out the failed unit. He set up the new water heater, replaced the worn copper supply lines, and installed a new shutoff valve along with a thermal expansion tank. After reconnecting the gas line and checking for leaks with soapy solution, he lit the pilot and verified the water temperature reached the set level. read more

Had a fully clogged shower and a partially clogged sink that couldn't wait. Called two other plumbers first, but neither could come out for several days. This company managed to get someone out the same day I called. He explained where the blockages were before starting, and ran the water afterward to show both drains were clear. read more

Arrived on time, and was able to modify price when they saw the job was less complicated than expected.

Couldn't be more pleased with the service from John's! Had a backed up sewer drain on a Sunday afternoon and they were on it in about an hour after calling! Service could not have been more professional and Francisco did an incredible job! Thank you for the tremendous service and we will definitely spread the word! read more

I needed my sewer pipe cleaned of tree roots. The communication was outstanding. The technician was polite and efficient. I also obtained bids from other well-known companies. The other companies tried to upcharge and overbid the project. John's bid was more than fair. Excellent value and customer service. The service was performed on a wet, rainy day. I had new carpet on the stairs and throughout the basement. The tech took great care and didn't get any dirt on my carpet. He was amazing. I never write reviews. But, John's service was outstanding. I would use them again anytime and wholeheartedly endorse this company. read more

We had to use John's Sewer and Drain cleaning after the first sewer guy we hired could not finish the job, and made my wife call and request someone John's. I sure wish we had found John's number in the first place! Their employee Joey was professional, kind and courteous. He came in and did the job correctly, used the proper equipment to do the job, and even showed me the results with a video camera of the cleaned out sewer line and where the problem existed, where the roots had clogged our sewer line. The cost was even better that the previous sewer guy who charged us full price for not even finishing the job. We were very happy with John's Sewer & Drain Cleaning, and will definitely use them again if our sewer ever backs up again. read more

I would recommend John's to anyone needing credible, fairly priced service in a pinch. I called at 11:45 PM about a problem. Told I would get called back at 8:00 AM following morning. I was. Nick, who is great, was here by 8:30 AM. Problem SOLVED by 9:30 AM, with serious hard work done by Nick. All is good. Will always go local, if this is what the service is like. Tired of getting upsold by the regional/national yahoos. Life's too short. read more

Great guy! Love that they provided the quote right away over Yelp. Quick and honest. Definitely going to use again.

Easy scheduling, clear and competitive pricing, and prompt professional service, clean and quiet work. Highly recommended!

Older property that had a 200' sewer line to city that backed up. 3 other competitors showed up and said they couldn't go that far. ( my sewer is backing up in the basement with ungodly nastiness ) Called Johns in desperation at the end of the day. They said no problem we'll be out in the morning. Jordan showed up and snaked a full 190' where he hit a big root ball. Called Kyle who brought the big gun in... the jetter. Within 25 minutes they blasted everything out to the city's main. What a relief!! Very professional, hard working, problem solving group that was really fair, up front priced for the amount of work that was done. All Hero's don't wear capes. wink, wink. PS, Tell Jordan & Kyle I found my clean out @ 100' out in the yard that you helped me locate. Thank you guys!! Next time should be way easier. read more

Doug is very good with his service! I highly highly recommend him taking care of your drain service needs. Came over within 2 hours and got us fixed up. Ten stars to this guy! read more

be aware that though they claim they do plumbing they are only drain cleaners. They showed up, made me sign a disclaimer saying that anything they break is not their responsibility , poked a hole into the pipe and told me I had to find a plumber to fix it. You are better off finding a real plumber. read more

Chachi was great!! We called at 8am for a clogged sewer drain and he was here by 9:30 and fixed our issue in less than an hour! Super kind, courteous, clean, gave us some great recommendations on drain maintenance/corrosion to consider for the future. Reasonable pricing, will definitely call the next time our toddler chucks something down the drain read more

Unplug toilet. I called three sewer services that had good reviews on Yelp. John's is the only one that had a receptionist take my call. The service man came out within thirty minutes and had the work completed in less than a half hour. I am very pleased. The other two services that I called 45-60 minutes before calling John's still have not called back. read more

This company is a hidden gem. They do not try to upsell you like so many other companies. They are honest and the price for service very fair. I will definitely recommend them to friend's and family and ALWAYS use them again myself! They were able to come next day after call. I had the best experience with my technician Pierre. He was here on time, knowledgeable, patient and very kind. He also answered questions so I can prevent future problems. THANK-YOU PIERRE! Use this company, you won't be disappointed!! read more

John's was immediately responsive to the Yelp inquiry and able to come to our home before 8am the following morning. The tech diagnosed the issue, fixed the problem and went above and beyond to help. Very fast response and appointments! Gave an accurate quote before the work and did a great job! Couldn't have expected better service.

We had John's come out to fix a clogged shower drain. I contacted them in the evening via their website, and they were prompt in responding and they got a guy out the next morning - I was so impressed. The guy fixed our drain quickly, and was super friendly and professional. I will definitely use them for any other problems I come across. Note: On Yelp, their service area is incorrect - I live in Lakeville, and they had no problem coming to me. read more

Quick scheduling, fair price and goof professional service. Will schedule again going forward if needed.

It was a weekend and our kitchen sink completely stopped up. Nothing I tried worked. I got quotes through Yelp. John's Sewer and Drain Cleaning returned with a quote within a few minutes, and had a time open early afternoon. The technician that arrived was careful coming in the house, we just had snow the day before. He did his work in the kitchen, not leaving until the sink drained well again. He was careful to cover the floor and keep it clean. It was a little more expensive than I had hoped, but given the fast, careful service on a weekend, I was happy. read more

Superb service and professionalism. Mike called in advance to let me know he was coming over in 20 minutes, asked some smart questions, and honestly seemed to have diagnosed the whole thing before he even got here. Then he got here, thoroughly checked to make sure that his diagnosis was right, while showing and explaining what he was doing, then promptly solved the issued, cleaned the system, and cleaned up the job site, and then gave advice on how to avoid these issues in the future. I think everything was cleaner AFTER he had come over, that's how great he did the work. Despite the thoroughness, the visit took less than the estimated time, and came in under the estimated cost. What?!? Amazing service on a Saturday. Can't say enough good things here. read more

Had a kitchen sink drain clogged just before the Memorial Day weekend and waited until Tuesday to avoid any additional holiday charges. Called John's on Monday night, spoke with a woman who was quite professional. Had an appointment for the following day. Loved the 2-hour window vs the 4-hour window that some companies give you. Technician came out during the 2-hour window timeframe, got to work and had everything resolved and cleaned up within an hour. Super efficient!! AND John's has very (very) reasonable rates. Highly recommend! Tom read more

Had a nasty clog in our main pipe that flooded half our basement with water and food particles. Was able to get service the next morning around 8am. Was quoted $250 for the job based on the pictures and description sent but was charged much less once Chachi got here and saw what needed to be done. Gotta say that being charged less for home repairs is a first for us and was not only refreshing but a blessing. Chachi was punctual. Communicated with us about what the problem was and gave solutions on what to do to ensure we don't have issues again. We would highly recommend John's. They are honest and don't try to sell you things you don't need. We will reach out to them for any drain or sewer needs and tell our family, friends, and neighbors to do the same. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. Thank you Chachi for saving the day and restoring our faith in home repair service providers. read more

We had 40 years of heavy scaling and root intrusion in our main sewer line. Initially I called Mr. Rooter who quoted me roughly 5,000 dollars to clean about 70 feet of pipe. I declined and found John's Sewer. Jordan and Chachi came out and cleaned the entire line for a fraction of the cost! They were professional and informative the entire time and saved my family thousands of dollars. Our cast iron sewer line looks incredible, the scale is gone and the roots were completely cleared out. I highly recommend. read more

Yes you can have fast, good, and a good price. We had our main line back up and water was coming up into the basement. Our plumber recommended John's, and for good reason. they got back to us immediately, were out within an hour, sent a super helpful friendly technician, who was neat and communicated well with us what he was doing. and the problem was resolved within a little over an hour. What a relief. We expected a big bill, and were surprised at the reasonable price. Sounds like they treat their people well. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend. read more

We have a problematic sewer line that requires it to be snaked every year. I booked John's because of the good reviews and was incredibly impressed with their thoroughness and attention to detail. They are the third company I've had in my home and I will definitely be using them in the future. They went above and beyond to provide a thorough clean of our line. I highly recommend them. read more

I had John's Sewer and Drain come out twice for two different drains. The first time was on a weekend. The sewer line was unclogged. With video, I was shown that it was clear all the way to the city line. The second time I called, it was also the weekend and I had a technician call me back. After I explained what it was, he recommended that since it wasn't an emergency, I could save money by waiting one day to have it done. That is exactly what I did. On both occasions, Mike Morales was the tech that came into my home to perform the drain service. He was friendly, professional and got the job done in a reasonable timeframe. read more

Michael expertly diagnosed and corrected a complicated drain clog. We had had another incorrectly address this problem before, which is really why this call was needed. The tech arrived within an hour of calling the company on a Sunday, and made no mess whatsoever. Highly recommended. read more

Oh my, I thought I had already written this review, but in the midst of all we went through I guess I missed it. I can't say enough about the great job personnel from John's Sewer and Drain did when our entire basement was inundated with sewage. As it turned out, the entire drainage system was blocked with bamboo toilet paper that did not break down. They arrived twice w/in a couple of hours and the price was affordable. It was a horrific, nasty mess but their technician stayed until everything was cleared out. I'll spare you the images of what he found, but we later did a little test w/bamboo TP (brand REEL) and Scott's brand. We put two sheets in a glass of water and then waited to see what broke down best. The bamboo did NOT break down very well, see attached pic. read more

An amazing experience! Our basement sink stopped draining late on a Wednesday night. I looked for quotes here on Yelp and woke up on Thursday to a message from Scott at John's Sewer and Drain Cleaning with a quote as well as a few times they could come by that same day and fix the drain (in 2 hour windows, way better than the 8 hours from some places). The service person arrived on time (slightly early in fact), wore a mask for safety, and went to work. Within half an hour our drain was clean and running like new. He cleaned up after himself and the cost was exactly as quoted. I felt safe having this person in our home and I REALLY appreciated that they messaged me back over Yelp. I had a couple businesses call me to give me quotes but I really love when businesses communicate in the same way that you've reached out to them! I will definitely keep John's Sewer and Drain Cleaning at the top of my list the next time we leave too much hair in our sink! read more

Messaged John's on Yelp on a Sunday night as I had a clog in my main line and needed a clean out. Someone on the other end responded within 10 minutes with an up-front quote on what they thought I would need. Shopped around a little and found this price to be a good value. I called Monday morning and they had someone out here about an hour later. The technician was professional and was committed to doing a great job. He quickly found the clog and broke through it. While he could have stopped at that point, he kept going through the clog multiple times to get it cleaned up the best he could. I would call John's again in a pinch. read more

My local plumber recommended John's Sewer and Drain Cleaning, and now I know why. They were prompt in responding and tackled what turned out to be a 40 year plus grease plugged up kitchen drain in a drain pipe that ran the length of the house. Ugggh! Chad M was the man who did the job. Polite. Efficient. And the type of worker you love to have in your home. It's great to see companies excellent at what they do, and hire folks that reflect that excellents. Thank you! Thank you! read more

Called John's on New Years Day about a backed up kitchen sink, and they answered on 2 rings, I then got a call back from scheduling within 30 minutes! They prefer to reserve time for emergencies only on holidays, but they did try to work me in, although they were dealing with several emergencies so I had to wait until the next day. So the next day they arrived first thing in the morning, as scheduled, and within 30 minutes had my backed up kitchen sink flowing better than ever! These folks are professional, courteous, and not too expensive considering the great work they do. Thanks!! read more

I went on the recommendation of the yelp review because I had a laundry room flooding emergency! I was greeted by a very pleasant customer service agent who took my information and was able to get me set up for an appointment same day. I got a call back from Jason not even 30 minutes later saying he would be there in 15 minutes to fix my clog. He was professional and efficient and even gave me a helpful hint on how to prevent this problem from happening in the future. Will definitely recommended them again and they didn't break the bank! read more
