Our campsite was one of the smaller ones we visited on this trip, but it still fit three tents snugly and we were even able to pack in all our cars. The grounds are really pretty and the campsites are each tucked away in private little nooks with natural trees and vegetation separating you from your neighbors giving great privacy to your stay. The individual sites are well maintained and were clean when we arrived. They had nice level ground for tents, a picnic table, and of course a fire pit. The bathrooms were clean and had running water for washing dishes and there was even soap in the bathroom. Our stay was nice and quiet with other respectful campers and it ended up being a peaceful stay. Rialto beach isn't far away so there's definitely some things to do in the area. We certainly recommend this campground for an enjoyable stay.

Our site was backed to a creek and we could hear the water running. it was really awesome vibe! The location was perfect and the site where large that you felt like you had privacy. The family running it were very attentive and accommodating to resolve issues with the hot shower when we were there. and overall they seemed very laidback. It was close to many places we wanted to go on the Olympic peninsula and very convenient overall.

Last chance is exactly what this place is. My boyfriend and I came to the coast for a quick get away without much of a plan. We were planning on winging the whole trip which usually leads to some pretty great things. Called a couple camping spots just to see and of course we got the cold shoulder with busy and packed camp grounds. We finally saw Last Chance and made a quick call. The friendly woman answered the phone saying she had plenty of space. Finally we were in luck!! We headed just outside of town and drove by these beautiful fields. Out of the corner of our eyes we spot the cute Last Chance signs. Do not be skeptical just follow the sign and go around the large abandoned building to the gorgeous open field. The place was EMPTY to our amazement. We picked our spot out of the many and saw a women coming to us on her ATV. She greeted us and we ended up talking about how she got the place started and all it had to offer. There were horses, elk and a ton of cute birds and wildlife. We only stayed a night but got so comfortable and felt incredibly safe. We enjoyed the sunset, saw a massive heard of elk right next to us and built an amazing fire. There is one outhouse & a small sink with soap and counter space to clean dishes if needed. The owner is willing to help with whatever and even provided the first night of firewood for free!! We can not wait to be back and bring our family and friends. Thank you for the amazing and comfortable stay!! This place needs to get on Airbnb to get the word out and spaces filled up. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. They had a spot - you rent an RV space and pay $10 on top of the reasonable fee to charge as long as you need. The drive to the Third Beach trailhead was less than 10 minutes away.

There are nice clean bathrooms with shower stalls. I really loved that this campground had some small trails through and near it, and I loved walking down to the river at the end of the day. It's unclear weather the toilet is just draining right into the ground where you step right when you come out of the bathroom. For the price you would expect this to be on par with other established campgrounds. It's not. Save your money and don't stay here.

Firstly, several of these reviews are for the wrong hot springs. If a review mentions a restaurant,…read moreor a resort, or a time slot, they are referring to the SOL DUC hot springs, not these ones. Also, the reviews that mention that the hike is easy are all outdated! It's a slog to get there! The Olympic hot springs are a 12 mile hike mostly uphill. It used to be a much shorter hike but about five years ago the road washed out and you now have to hike an extra 8 miles... 12 miles total... one way. It's a slog! The springs themselves, while pretty, are shallow, muddy, slimy, and overall pretty gross. The signs warn of fecal bacteria. If you're hoping to hike 12 miles to soak in pristine pools, think again. Nudity is common. If anyone is actually using the hot springs, they will likely be nude. Get over it!! Let the nudists have their place... and 12 miles deep in the woods is a nice place to be nude. You might also see nudists hiking or biking on the trail to the hot springs. It's not common but does happen occasionally. Just smile and say hi! The hike starts off easy on a paved road for about 3/4 of a mile. Then you have to use a single-track dirt bypass trail that is steep and rooty. If you're using a bike you'll be pushing and carrying it over things. Then you're put back on an old paved road again. It's another 2 miles to the Glines Canyon overlook which is fun to see. Then it's another 5 miles on the same road, but now 100% uphill and sometimes steep, just to reach the trailhead. Once at the trailhead, you're already over 8 miles into it and you have another 2.5 or so to hike... bikes not allowed. You have to park at the Madison Falls parking lot. You're supposed to have a National Park pass.
