The parking lot is a decent size and there are two bathrooms. The trail isn't very long. The beach is made of sand and small polished pebbles. There are very few sharp rocks. The gravel is very smooth. The beach is mostly made up of sand. The waves crash down and leave beautiful foam patterns on the sand. When the days are overcast, the water appears to be a clear green-blue. On sunny days, the water looks very, very blue. The water is clear! This is a wonderful place to walk, play in the water, and to take pictures. I went on Saturday and Sunday 6/7/14 and 6/8/14. I am going back next week! The place was accommodating, and we had a really nice trip. However, on the morning we checked out, around 8 AM, three of the owners showed up at our door demanding that we pay for our stay. I asked if I could pay after we checked out, and they started cursing at me and threatening me in front of my son. I promptly paid, and the three of them calmed down very quickly. I later found out that a different campsite, not ours, had not paid. While that is unfortunate, taking that anger out on my family was completely unacceptable. I do want to say that our stay was pretty amazing up until this point. They were very accommodating, including helping us with fresh towels. Sadly, this incident at the end was absurd and really ruined the experience.

Our campsite was one of the smaller ones we visited on this trip, but it still fit three tents snugly and we were even able to pack in all our cars. The grounds are really pretty and the campsites are each tucked away in private little nooks with natural trees and vegetation separating you from your neighbors giving great privacy to your stay. The individual sites are well maintained and were clean when we arrived. They had nice level ground for tents, a picnic table, and of course a fire pit. The bathrooms were clean and had running water for washing dishes and there was even soap in the bathroom. Our stay was nice and quiet with other respectful campers and it ended up being a peaceful stay. Rialto beach isn't far away so there's definitely some things to do in the area. We certainly recommend this campground for an enjoyable stay.

They were decked out in American flags and decor in celebration of the 4th and I mean full on decked out. One guy had an American flag overalls and we just thought good for them ...But you read into that as you will. We got odd looks that we didn't read too much into but when you get that gut feeling sometimes you gotta listen to it. Around 8:30 pm more cars started trickling in which was odd. Then more , and more. They clearly came in for the show everyone but us seemed to know about. These fireworks were insane. Made me pretty sad for the strait of Juan de fuca a place that should be kept pristine. Should be illegal in my opinion. But people suck and they don't care. I'll leave it at this, go support another Airbnb, or rental property that has the same views instead of this one.

The campground is clean, tables and large shade umbrellas are all new. Porta Potties are ample and close to sites (without being too close!). Dish washing stations are handy as well. Note that there is no electricity and potable water is available nearby but not right in the campground. Don saved the day for us when we were prepared to leave but our car battery had died. He gave us a jump and sent us off with a smile. Highly recommend!

There is a pull-out along Highway 113 (Burnt Mountain Road) where you can get out of the vehicle to explore. A gravel road runs parallel to Burnt Mountain Road a short ways past two campsites. Both sites had a picnic table and one also had a campfire pit. South of the campsites is a boat ramp and a short dock. When I stopped here there was someone fishing. Careful driving along this way, there are a bunch of logging trucks barreling down the road. This is also a good place to pull off and let them pass and enjoy the beauty of the lake. If driving south on Highway 113 from Highway 112, Beaver Lake is located on the left hand side of the road a little over halfway to Highway 101. I could see the lake on approach before I reached the pull-out and boat ramp.
