Stayed here last March. They were super friendly and told us where to visit in the area. The cabin was completely new and clean. It was almost a tiny house! Although freezing and rainy when we arrived, the heater had us warm and dry in no time. Highly recommend this place! Hint: the internet is lousy (but that's not why you're there), but reception was better near the office.

Sites: Most sites are pretty close together. No picnic table. Have a fire ring. The sites furthest from the office have a nice shaded area behind your RV. Hook ups: FHU (30amp) Bathrooms: did not check Laundry: Sufficient. Run down room in need of paint and some holes patched. 2 washer and 2 dryers were old, but worked fine. Table for folding. $1.50 wash $1.50 dry for 45 minutes Pets: Pet friendly. No rules for pets. A few dogs off leash and wondering the park. Left my dogs alone. WiFi: Yes, free, but pretty slow. Verizon Internet: Average Sprint Internet: No service Verizon cell: Worked fine. AT&T cell: No service Book Exchange: Small book exchange in laundry. Activities: Nothing planned. But marina across the street for lots of Salmon fishing. Mail delivery accepted: Yes Area/Town/Sights: Cape Flattery is the most NW point of the continental US. Makah Museum. Fishing. Since there is not much choice, this is one of the better campgrounds. There are also some really nice cabins newly built. They were 85% full the whole week we were here.

I appreciated- and read - the book about their history and stories placed in our cabin. Purchase a beach fire permit for $10 and a firewood bundle will be delivered as you unpack your bags. Well-stocked kitchen, which is wonderful as once you make the long drive out to La Push, you should plan to hunker down for meals and such. It's a long drive to and from Forks. I would return!

They said it was the same style and it was not. The bathtub was smaller, did not have view, and the water took 30 minutes to fill the tub. The water barely came out of the faucet and by the time it was full enough to use the jets the water was lukewarm. The cabin was freezing. With the fireplace running I finally got the living room to 60, but it can't run all night so the rooms were freezing. Stay somewhere else and drive to the beach because the venue is not worth it. I feel ripped off and the exact opposite of relaxed.

We booked 3 cottages at Chito Beach Resort in Sekiu, Washington. My brother and his wife stayed in The Birdhouse (whose deck officially became our favorite hangout spot) We spent many memorable hours there, enjoying the ever changing views of the sea, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets. My sister stayed in The Wolf Den. I stayed in the cottage adjacent to hers, The Lighthouse.  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Lighthouse Cottage. The bed was soooo comfy. Water pressure was great. So much attention was paid to every charming little detail. Nothing was overlooked.  And that view!  On Saturday night the owners, Tamara and Matt had a little get together around the bonfire with all of the guests at Chito Beach. (There are a total of 6 cottages) They were wonderful and gracious hosts who served us beverages and DELICIOUS appetizers. They made us feel very welcome there.  After I got back home, I sorted through the MANY photos that I'd taken, and decided which ones to post on Facebook.  As gorgeous as some of them are, I think some of the pictures of the sunsets at Chito Beach are even more stunning than my photos of the Cape.  Especially on our last night there. Truly magical and almost otherworldly Our time there was an experience that our family will treasure forever.

No shortage of things to do . . . among my favorites here is simply sitting in a chair by the window, just watching it all go by. My recent winter stay was a very dynamic time. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The innkeepers were very knowledgeable about the area and suggested several things I wasn't aware of. I only gave it five stars because six wasn't an option.

Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is located in a valley within Olympic National Park. Here you can rent a cabin or do some tent camping under the stars while enjoying the beautiful scenery around you. This valley is full of tall evergreens along the Sol Duc River that make it a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. At Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is one freshwater pool and three 100°F mineral hot spring soaking pools. The spring water comes from melting snow and rain. Water seeps through cracks in the sedimentary rocks where it mixes with gasses coming from cooling volcanic rocks. Then the mineralized spring waters rise to the surface through the cracks to create these pools. I was able to walk around and check out the mineral pools. A hour and a half session will run you about $18. You don't have to stay at the resort to book a session. Also here at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is a restaurant, gift shop and a convenience store.

There are tons of spots. But I had a disappointing time at the resort. I only wanted to sit in the hot springs for a bit. The employees were fine that day. However the next day, my car didn't start, and I had to walk to the resort to use a phone since there was no reception. The same person was there but completely wrapped up in a conversation with someone, so it was awkward to pull her away. She told me the nearest reception was at the Salmon Cascades two miles up, or we could use the phone in the corner. There were instructions on the phone to use it, but it didn't work. So I had to give up on that, and they were still talking so casually. They really didn't care about what was happening at all. Then I looked it up and realized the walk to Salmon Cascades was actually five miles away, but I was ignored when I brought this up. I guess it was really important those two caught up. If I were to walk into literally any restaurant (which the resort has) or business, and I needed help with an emergency, I would expect to get help. It's just the human thing to do. Most people would help. But maybe the resort needs help with helping its guests, so here are my suggestions as a former hostess: - Train employees for someone in need of emergency services and give them up to date information on the phone and make sure they know the area. If there's no service, they need to take responsibility as a hub to help travelers feel safe especially when there are bears are everything out there! Plus it's just hospitality to know the area to help people out who are lost. It leaves a good impression, too. - Take a guests concern seriously and work with them to find a solution, however trivial it may seem. - Lower the prices while you're at it. Don't gatekeep the experience for rich tourists. Until these things are changed, the resort is currently a soulless cashgrab, in an area with such sacred indigenous meaning...
