We already knew no wifi/cell service but don't care! We went to be off grid and reset. The weather cooperated with our plan by raining steadily and mama nature treated us with some gorgeous powerful waves to watch from the hottub on our deck. We used up our firewood and utilized our kitchen with some pre-made entrees from Hob Fine Foods-so barely cooked! Love it there so much we decided on a week next time.

There is a small kitchen that had everything we needed and a cozy livingroom with a beautiful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. There are Adirondack chairs on the deck and a 4 person hot tub that we enjoyed every day. The picture on the website of this cabin shows different furniture and a pretty fireplace with a mantel. Unfortunately they have a couple worn leather chairs with cracked leather arms and the couch is a hide-a-bed with cushions that were hard to keep in place. They kept working their way out and over the edge of the couch. What I was sad about was they have had to change the fireplace to bring it up to code. Instead of keeping the rustic feel with stone and a pretty mantle, they put up a couple bit shiny pieces of metal and screwed it in. They didn't use long enough screws and it is pulling away from the fireboard behind. It looks like a cheap fix and doesn't fit with the rustic cabin feel. We did enjoy having a fire, however, and they replenished our wood supply, including kindling and paper every day. We were there for a birthday and would have loved to eat at the restaurant there but the menu didn't appeal to us enough to pay the high price of a meal. We loved walking private guest only paths on the property that lead to a beach with a shelter with fireplace and chairs. Another leads over a pretty red bridge that leads to rocks overlooking the wild surf. We were there early May and loved enjoying the flora waking up in the spring. There are a few references to the staff being rude so we decided to tread lightly. Nobody was rude but there was definitely one woman who was curt. The staff in general lacked warmth and were not overly welcoming. But we didn't have any issues that needed addressing. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would go back.

We booked 3 cottages at Chito Beach Resort in Sekiu, Washington. My brother and his wife stayed in The Birdhouse (whose deck officially became our favorite hangout spot) We spent many memorable hours there, enjoying the ever changing views of the sea, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets. My sister stayed in The Wolf Den. I stayed in the cottage adjacent to hers, The Lighthouse.  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Lighthouse Cottage. The bed was soooo comfy. Water pressure was great. So much attention was paid to every charming little detail. Nothing was overlooked.  And that view!  On Saturday night the owners, Tamara and Matt had a little get together around the bonfire with all of the guests at Chito Beach. (There are a total of 6 cottages) They were wonderful and gracious hosts who served us beverages and DELICIOUS appetizers. They made us feel very welcome there.  After I got back home, I sorted through the MANY photos that I'd taken, and decided which ones to post on Facebook.  As gorgeous as some of them are, I think some of the pictures of the sunsets at Chito Beach are even more stunning than my photos of the Cape.  Especially on our last night there. Truly magical and almost otherworldly Our time there was an experience that our family will treasure forever.

I appreciated- and read - the book about their history and stories placed in our cabin. We stayed in a two bedroom oceanfront cabin, and though nestled close to other cabins on either side, they are staggered in such a way as to afford us privacy and unobstructed views from the porch and expansive front windows. Purchase a beach fire permit for $10 and a firewood bundle will be delivered as you unpack your bags. Well-stocked kitchen, which is wonderful as once you make the long drive out to La Push, you should plan to hunker down for meals and such. It's a long drive to and from Forks. I would return!

They said it was the same style and it was not. The bathtub was smaller, did not have view, and the water took 30 minutes to fill the tub. The water barely came out of the faucet and by the time it was full enough to use the jets the water was lukewarm. The cabin was freezing. With the fireplace running I finally got the living room to 60, but it can't run all night so the rooms were freezing. Stay somewhere else and drive to the beach because the venue is not worth it. I feel ripped off and the exact opposite of relaxed.

Definite privacy issues here! My wife and I chose Points West as our honeymoon location in the…read moresummer of 2015, and though we were delighted by the view and accommodations, we were greatly disappointed by some specific privacy concerns. Our chief concern was the curiously see-through quality of the blinds at night. In the daytime they allow the visitors to see the wide ocean view from inside the room, but at night with the lights on, they are fully see-through from the outside. We took pictures to show this is clearly the case. And as the Trip Advisor reviewer wrote, the shower is clear glass and completely visible from the outside as well. Unfortunately, we didn't discover the see-through nature of the blinds until the second night of our honeymoon. The location is partially secluded at best, not "very completely private" as I was specifically told by Veronica via telephone. The outside stairway, which is the only approach to the room, has no gate at all, allowing anyone to walk unhindered the full length of the balcony and the glass-enclosed room. We were informed in the same breath that absolutely no one would ever venture onto the deck or balcony, and they had been up there that very day watering the flowers. There is also an uncurtained window above the bed through which another house can be seen, though about 200 yards away. What is curious is that the cost of some fully opaque blinds in a multi-million dollar property such as Points West would be minimal compared with the obvious advantages. Although we were refunded the last three nights of our stay, it was upsetting to say the least that we were in a room with see-through blinds for the first half of our honeymoon. Update: I am responding now to the manager or owner's critique of my review. Unfortunately, he is simply justifying the blinds (completely see-through from the outside, at night) covering this glass-enclosed room. It would be an easy fix to replace them. Also the see-through shower, easily visible from most of the deck as well. Also, there is no gate between the stairs and the deck. Look--just clarify that the blinds are a problem, if you won't replace them.
