The layout of this campground consists of four loops. A, B, C, D, and each loop has a numbered sites. Each campsite has a table and a fire ring. Park your car correctly and you can ensure to make your spot more private. Under a canopy of trees which are beautiful. The bathroom has running toilets and is well lit. Making nighttime walks to the bathroom less scary, lol. The camp host came over to introduce herself and warn about the crows. Apparently they were rampant and able to attack and tear up campsites if you leave anything out. A very quiet area and super close to Rialto Beach. Which I would not recommend walking to as there is no trail and you'd have to walk on the road. A great central location to explore the Olympic Peninsula. Very nice spot to get back into camping. I got a little emotional as I recalled them being so small, and cut to now, how fast time flew. Their memories of this place were so fond. We checked off a bucket list item though- we told ourselves that the next time we come back, we'd have a bonfire on the beach and that's exactly what we did! We stayed out until 11 at night on the beach and it was pretty dark! Core memories made. We will definitely return and it won't be in 10 years, more like 2. We love you, Kalaloch!!!

A park ranger is on hand to answer any questions that you may have. Kalaloch and Ruby Beach are located on the southwest coast of the Olympic Peninsula right off the 101. This is one of the most visited areas of Olympic National Park. Kalaloch Campground is one of the only places for camping on the southern coast of Olympic National Park. There are over 170 campsites that have a picnic table and fire ring. Make sure you reserve early as they fill up quick during the summer season. Kalaloch Lodge is also located right by the beach and has rooms and cabins available. Kalaloch Beach is a great place for tidepooling and bird watching. I enjoyed a short stay here. I was able to walk on the beach and take in some fresh air after being in the car all day. Nearby is the Tree of Life spruce tree if you want to check that out. Just follow the Kalaloch Beach Nature Trail from the Kalaloch Campground parking lot. Once you are on the beach, it is a short walk away.

Our site was backed to a creek and we could hear the water running. it was really awesome vibe! The location was perfect and the site where large that you felt like you had privacy. The family running it were very attentive and accommodating to resolve issues with the hot shower when we were there. and overall they seemed very laidback. It was close to many places we wanted to go on the Olympic peninsula and very convenient overall.

Massive sculptural sea stacks rise along the shoreline, rugged and dramatic. The beach is strewn with driftwood, some pieces arranged so naturally they feel like art instillations. Its name comes from the subtle reddish mineral flecks in the sand, which glow beautifully when the sun hits them. We loved exploring this area, and it's absolutely a must-stop if you're anywhere near Forks. Vault restrooms are available just off the parking lot; they're basic and don't have running water. Because this beach is part of Olympic National Park, you'll need to pay the daily entrance fee or better yet, grab an America the Beautiful Pass for access to all national parks. I wouldn't recommend walking barefoot or swimming here. The water stays around 45-55°F year-round, the waves are powerful, and the surf can be unpredictable. This is a place to admire, wander, and soak in the wild beauty of the coast.

The drive to the Third Beach trailhead was less than 10 minutes away.

The sites are located in a beautiful forest with large trees, moss and mushrooms, and a river adjacent. They all have a picnic table and a fire pit, although we were there during a fire ban. There are nice clean bathrooms with shower stalls. I really loved that this campground had some small trails through and near it, and I loved walking down to the river at the end of the day. It was really beautiful! The whole campground is gorgeous and we had a great time.

This "campground" is just an empty lot next to the owner's junkyard. It's unclear weather the toilet is just draining right into the ground where you step right when you come out of the bathroom. For the price you would expect this to be on par with other established campgrounds. It's not. Save your money and don't stay here.

Firstly, several of these reviews are for the wrong hot springs. If a review mentions a restaurant,…read moreor a resort, or a time slot, they are referring to the SOL DUC hot springs, not these ones. Also, the reviews that mention that the hike is easy are all outdated! It's a slog to get there! The Olympic hot springs are a 12 mile hike mostly uphill. It used to be a much shorter hike but about five years ago the road washed out and you now have to hike an extra 8 miles... 12 miles total... one way. It's a slog! The springs themselves, while pretty, are shallow, muddy, slimy, and overall pretty gross. The signs warn of fecal bacteria. If you're hoping to hike 12 miles to soak in pristine pools, think again. Nudity is common. If anyone is actually using the hot springs, they will likely be nude. Get over it!! Let the nudists have their place... and 12 miles deep in the woods is a nice place to be nude. You might also see nudists hiking or biking on the trail to the hot springs. It's not common but does happen occasionally. Just smile and say hi! The hike starts off easy on a paved road for about 3/4 of a mile. Then you have to use a single-track dirt bypass trail that is steep and rooty. If you're using a bike you'll be pushing and carrying it over things. Then you're put back on an old paved road again. It's another 2 miles to the Glines Canyon overlook which is fun to see. Then it's another 5 miles on the same road, but now 100% uphill and sometimes steep, just to reach the trailhead. Once at the trailhead, you're already over 8 miles into it and you have another 2.5 or so to hike... bikes not allowed. You have to park at the Madison Falls parking lot. You're supposed to have a National Park pass.

TL;DR: I was cussed out, held up for money, and accused of being aggressive by the owners…read more My family and I spent the weekend here, and overall, our stay was great. The place was accommodating, and we had a really nice trip. However, on the morning we checked out, around 8 AM, three of the owners showed up at our door demanding that we pay for our stay. I asked if I could pay after we checked out, and they started cursing at me and threatening me in front of my son. I promptly paid, and the three of them calmed down very quickly. I later found out that a different campsite, not ours, had not paid. While that is unfortunate, taking that anger out on my family was completely unacceptable. I do want to say that our stay was pretty amazing up until this point. They were very accommodating, including helping us with fresh towels. Sadly, this incident at the end was absurd and really ruined the experience.
