It is the last "real" camp before you reach Mt Olympus, so, if you're climbing it's on of your only options for a base camp. (further away you could use Elk Lake, or if you are crazy, you could camp on Snow Dome) Black bears frequent this area, so be sure you are using bear wires or bear cansisters!

Trash bins were over flowing which was pretty upsetting since there are high alerts of bear activity and bears are put to sleep when they take human foods. Good-sized campgrounds. Clean bathrooms. Water access. Only downside is there are no showers. No cell service, but you get typically get it within a 5 minute drive either direction so not bad for plugging locations into maps. Make sure to walk down to Crescent Lake - it is absolutely gorgeous. Watching the sunrise is wonderful if you can get up that early. Make sure to check if there is a campfire ban before going - one was in effect during our trip, so we brought our portable stove for cooking. Definitely a great choice for camping in Olympic National Park.

She felt the need to apologize to people whenever she felt they waited to long, but she was already doing so much, and everyone said it was all fine, no worries. I've had nightmares like this, where I'm responsible for the whole restaurant. I felt for CADY, but she always had a smile on her face. I told her, as a former waitress, that she was simply amazing. The only bad thing was that the steps to the bathrooms and showers were very steep! The stairs did not have railings, so it was a challenge for a couple of senior citizens! Fortunately, I did discover two bathrooms that had easier steps to climb! The camp's location was very private and quiet! We both would stay here again and recommend it to others!

Last chance is exactly what this place is. My boyfriend and I came to the coast for a quick get away without much of a plan. We were planning on winging the whole trip which usually leads to some pretty great things. Called a couple camping spots just to see and of course we got the cold shoulder with busy and packed camp grounds. We finally saw Last Chance and made a quick call. The friendly woman answered the phone saying she had plenty of space. Finally we were in luck!! We headed just outside of town and drove by these beautiful fields. Out of the corner of our eyes we spot the cute Last Chance signs. Do not be skeptical just follow the sign and go around the large abandoned building to the gorgeous open field. The place was EMPTY to our amazement. We picked our spot out of the many and saw a women coming to us on her ATV. She greeted us and we ended up talking about how she got the place started and all it had to offer. There were horses, elk and a ton of cute birds and wildlife. We only stayed a night but got so comfortable and felt incredibly safe. We enjoyed the sunset, saw a massive heard of elk right next to us and built an amazing fire. There is one outhouse & a small sink with soap and counter space to clean dishes if needed. The owner is willing to help with whatever and even provided the first night of firewood for free!! We can not wait to be back and bring our family and friends. Thank you for the amazing and comfortable stay!! This place needs to get on Airbnb to get the word out and spaces filled up. So much potential!!
