    Mmmmm large taco
    Christine K.

Been going here since it was in its original location. I really like how they've fixed up the new spot. We went with our old faithful order of large beef tacos made hot with no tomatoes. The large are quite filling and I love how they assemble your taco by warming the shell on the grill while adding the fixings! I barely finished one large and the boyfriend failed to finish his two. Very filling and tasty. Will be back when in the neighborhood.

Cherry taco! So this is like a turnover in taste. The icing smells like cinnamon bun icing. It's pretty amazing.

So again, a southerner in WNY who has grown up with real tacos... However, I have to say that I do sometimes crave this place. What they call a taco up here would be anywhere else just a burrito that was badly folded. I've learned to ignore my definitions for how a taco should look. The large ultima taco is pretty huge and filling and makes a great quick lunch. It's loaded with filling, meats, cheeses, tomatoes and lettuce, sour cream, hot sauce. I suggest springing to add some nacho cheese because...why wouldn't you honestly? The 'tacos' are way better than the nachos I tried first. And they have dessert 'tacos'... I've only had the cherry because I love cherry, but the staff are always suggesting apple. Essentially it's a small flour tortilla filled with pie filling, I assume fried, and then coated generously with glaze. It's an ingenious little tasty thing really. Open till 10 and pretty easy to park by or around.

Let me introduce you to my astoundingly overpriced $16 meal. First we have the hard shell taco. And when I say hard shell, I'm referring to a VERY stale shell and meat that is basically flavorless with a bit of spice. Next we have the bean and cheese burrito, which although it costs $5, tastes similar to mighty taco....just not as good. The nachos were ok, though as the cashier encouraged when we ordered "they aren't fresh or anything, just chips. Nothing special". Save your money and feed your entire family for this price at mighty taco. The food isn't worth it for the price, not by a long shot. I would rather go to one of the other local taco joints and PAY for food than get this for free.

I love the large Ultima taco. It's very filling and tasty. If you like your food spicy, order extra hot.

It's also fun to wander around eyeing all the candies and chocolates... excellent gift ideas. On this visit, my daughter and I split a large Arctic swirl with brownies pieces and swapped the vanilla custard for eggnog. Best decision I've made all season, no regrets! The only tiny downside: the signs. So. Many. Signs. Rules everywhere--no ice cream in the chocolate area, carry a basket so nothing melts or breaks, no glass outside, clean your trays, etc. I get it (I, too, am a bit of a control freak), but it does start to feel like ice cream comes with a user manual. That said, clearly they've been burned before... or maybe I just recognize my own people. Either way, worth it for the custard alone. And make sure you plan to go right home. This way, you can buy some of their hard ice cream to keep in your freezer.

Mom got her Graham Canyon, and Casey got the Dairy Free Peanut Butter and Cookies. Now my eyes were immediately drawn to the Afghanistan Sheer Yahk. Something I've never heard of, and I like to try new things. The nice gentleman at the window explained it's like frozen milk. And it was, but it was so much more amazing than just that. It's frozen regular, dry, and condensed milk with some saffron, cardamon, pistachios, and a little bit of rose water. I know it sounds a little strange, but it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The rose water isn't overpowering, and I enjoyed the new flavor. The whole dish was icy, sweet, and yet has a warm taste from the cardamon. I could have easily eaten a medium, and I'm so sad I only got a small. That's my bad. We didn't try the kabobs, but I bet if they are half as good as the Afghanistan ice cream, they will be awesome. I will happily make the hour drive from Great Valley to come back and try their actual food when it's available and get a larger size Sheer Yahk for sure.

Every flavor looked incredible--honestly, there's not a bad choice in the bunch. A huge shout-out to Chloe, our amazing server! I'll be honest, I've been putting off ordering a few pints because I didn't want to make the effort/time for picking it up. Thanks to a dear friend, a fellow Yelp Elite, I've FINALLY had the opportunity to try some pints, and holy smokes, Living the Cream is phenomenal! Note that in to order flavors, you'll want to follow "livingthecream_" on Instagram, "living_the_cream_" on Facebook, which showcases any new flavors being crafted and hosts the link to place your order. I tried two flavors: Oreo Brownie Smash and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella. Oreo Brownie Smash is Oreo cookie ice cream with brownie batter swirls, Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough, and half-baked brownies and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella is spiced eggnog ice cream infused with Jim Beam and Platter's dark orange chocolate stracciatella. Just. WOW! Absolutely no complaints, each was bursting with flavor and packed with so many mix-ins. I loved finding huge Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough chunks and just how chocolatey Oreo Brownie Smash was thanks to all the brownie bits swirled in. The Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella had the creamy, comforting flavor of eggnog with a nice nip of Jim Beam that let you know it was there but never overpowering. The crunchy bits of the dark orange chocolate stracciatella cut through all the creaminess, only elevating the ice cream overall. Opening both pints, I was super impressed how jam-packed they were - It took a bit of effort to get the lids off, the pint was on the cusp of overflowing! So I didn't order these pints so I can't give you the most accurate pricing info, but after trying a couple flavors, I'm happy to order a few pints myself without thinking too much about the cost. I'm really glad Living the Cream is out here, churning up amazing ice cream flavors for Buffalo! As a few other Yelp reviews mention, make a little room in your freezer and treat yo'self to a couple pints of some of the creamiest, mix-in full ice cream you'll ever have!
