Sending this review in hopes that upper management sees it, as I believe the mgr was on site. Almost immediately a staff member went to the door, and continuously repeated, "we're closed, we're closed, we're closed ". I could hear her from the car. I could go on that my wife is a resident, who is made to work an illegal amount of hrs, we sped over there to pick up gifts for her co-residents (basically free advertising). She avoided getting more and promptly left. It's no wonder why physical locations lose out to online, stores consistently closing, especially in Temple. She was in the car, by 8:03p. If you're a waiter, and your patron is still eating after the closing hour, you wait. If you're a resident, and you're involved in a hours long delivery after a 24hr shift, you stay. read more

Walked in and saw a few associates at the front middle counter they All looked miserable like they didn't want to be there not one person said hello. It doesn't even bother me anymore so I try to do my research on what I'm looking for before going there just so I just get the items I need and be on my way. I couldn't find what I was looking for so I saw a girl just standing there. I asked her if she knew about a foundation. She looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about. I think I knew more than she did she just looked confused Like she wasn't prepared for someone to ask her about certain foundations as we were looking at different foundations, the testers and the make up looked horrible. Just left the store. They always seem to think that you have to look a certain way to get assistance. We were looking for foundation.. nobody asked us if we needed help. They just stood really close out of nowhere rearranging items. I just woke up as I worked neatly 40 hours this weekend. I didn't feel I needed to get dressed up to go buy makeup. They also did not ask if anyone helped us.. funny because they knew they didn't. Y'all need to stop profiling people and do your job. I have cash money and an Ulta card. I had a hair appointment scheduled in April for anappointment in June before my son's wedding. I got there for my appointment very excited only to find that I wasn't scheduled anymore. I had received several text messages reminding me of the appointment in the last week. Not one employee could explain any of this to me and I showed them the messages with the confirmation. Apparently there is something wrong with the computer. I was told the stylist wouldn't be there until noon and would call me to reschedule or talk about the disappointment and the disappearance of my appointment. Unfortunately, that didn't happen either. I went in for a last minute wash and cut and was happy that they had cancellations to fit me in but the hair dresser wasn't very pleasant and made me aware that she was about to leave before I came. My wash and cut were both rushed to the point were I still had dried shampoo on my scalp and my hair was extremely choppy (about 2 inches between what was suppose to be long layers). The hair dresser didn't notify me of the pricing and that she was a "Master" stylist, didn't ask if I wanted my hair styled or left natural. Long story short; I paid $100 to get my hair wet, crusty and butchered. Very upset with the outcome because I feel like I will need to cut my hair a lot shorter to make it blend. read more

Horrible. let me set the scene, employees walking around talking amongst themselves, not remotely concerned with your shopping needs. they literally walk by and act as if you are not there shopping. I see the manager on the phone as she's waiting by the front door and assume she's helping someone until her food order is delivered and I witness the manager hollering out the front door to her boyfriend. "I love you." Not one time did she attempt to help me. Her only concern was standing guard for her food delivery. I couldn't get one of four employees to help me with anything. This is my second time going to the store and leaving nearly empty handed with my Needs not met. For the love of god, hire employees that care. I will never waste my time to drive to your store again, and I certainly will not spend my money here. This is a joke. The manager reacts and looks like she's a deer in headlights when you ask her a question. She was snippy and short and couldn't be bothered to help me in any way. She made a lot of excuses for damaged products and didn't seem to know what she was doing there. Completely useless. She should consider another career. Maybe fast food. I'm disgusted. So I came in on Friday to pick up an order and it was an unexpected surprise being at this ulta! Everyone was just amazing and so nice! The type of nice that's warm and not fake! 100% Satisfied with there service! I asked for help looking for an item and they were super helpful and again so friendly! Which is what every Ulta should feel like, so thank you managers for training your staff or for just hiring the right type of people. Love the girls here I forgot the girls name that helped me at check out but she was just so lovely and made my birthday just so nice! I needed a refresh on my highlights and decided to try Ulta. The Salon is at the back of the store and open to the store. I had a full, thick head of hair at the time, which was also long. The method they use for full foil highlights didn't give my hair the "striped" look as my last colorist. It did take about 4-5 hours, mainly the wrapping and then my thick, long hair took forever to dry. The most fabulous highlights I have ever had. They looked very natural. I am giving this a 4 star because the stylist made it very evident that she did NOT want to be spending the time on a full highlight that day. Regardless, she did a good job and I tipped her well to make it worth her while. read more

I came into this store clueless about skin products hoping that ultas "beauty professionals" knew more than i did. I had money to spend and there was no limit. The sales associate showed me only 2 moisturizers. Again, i was clueless then and she reassured me buying this product my trouble would go away. Ulta offers exfoliating face washes, they have their own facial services in house, they have special scrubs and sponges!!! The sales associate didnt tell me that. Their website did. Luckily sephora came to my rescue and their knowledgeable associates helped my dry skin. Ulta please stop hiring young girls who cake on make up and hire somewhat knowledgeable staff. Went here for the first time yesterday for a hair appointment and I was so impressed! Clean, beautiful store with super friendly staff. The salon sits in the back and I got my hair done by a fairly new team member and she was amazing! Best hair stylist I've ever had by FAR. I have wild curly hair that isn't easy to deal with but she was extremely patient and made my hair perfect. This store is the worse please to go to have your hair done, the lady there YOLI, do not have the experience to color or cut hair. Tis was the worse experience of my life, I was there for 3 hours , she discolored my hair twice for at least 2 hours trying to get it bleach but the results were terrible two color hair. I tried to talk to the amp but she was worse than the other lady, they stole 60 dollars from me after they damaged my hair, this amp Rachel Hernandez was not help at all, she stared a discussion trying to protect Yoli and not the customer. It's an okay store if you're just shopping around. However, if you are going in with the intent to take advantage of an offer or a gift with purchase, think again. They almost NEVER have what is advertised. For example, they recently had the offer of a full size product with the purchase of $36 from same line. However they didn't have the free offer in stock and didn't know when they would get more. It usually just feels like a ploy to get you into the store. Usually customer service is very helpful when you write and tell them what happened. However this time they basically just said "so sorry". I was on time, five minutes early, and I wasn't seated in the chair until thirty minutes past my appointment time! She had another young lady getting colored and then when I am seated the stylist says nothing to me to apologize but she does go on to talk with another stylist for another five or so minutes. Then puts the cape on and asks if I know what I want. I show her and she says that'll take three hours... She then says something about how it processes and then basically says no. Okay, so I ask what can I get? She says she'll start the process for what I want. Okay! Great. I have my two year strapped in her travel chair and my eight year old next to her. I'm a single mom, I work with what I have... I received a gift card for, as this stylist quoted- a full highlight and cut/style. So, I show her what I want, she decides no, but then yes? and she starts chopping my hair. I have thick hair, she has cut it before (not very well). After cutting an incredible amount off to "layer" it she starts foiling. I ask about the top part because the style I want doesn't have highlights on top!! But she reassures me she's got it. I say okay, you're the professional- because I don't know how to bayalage. During this the lady that was getting colored during the first part of my appointment has a timer in front of me and it goes off. I don't even know if my stylist finished foiling my hair? But she sets a timer and bails off the wash and tone the other lady. I wait... My timer goes off and she has since moved the young lady to a chair and began coloring again.... I wait..... Then she tells me this other lady will wash my hair. Okay... I get it washed and wait.... And wait... More than twenty minutes. She finally comes back in puts toner on my hair. Then we go up and she starts blow drying. I see she finished coloring the other lady's hair and she is again processing- I guess that's what took so long. The stylist hints/complains about how my hair is getting thicker and thicker. I try to laugh with her and be nice- did I mention the person that gifted me this is her long time client and my boyfriend? So, I have to be polite. She finishes drying it and I'm mortified. I did not want streaky, chunky and unevenly set highlights!!!!!! On, only the top, not even a partial. My hair looks awful. I look at it and pull it to the side, its not going to look good up because it is SO striped!!!!!! AND ONLY ON ONE SIDE! I stop her before she heats her iron up and say no I'm fine. She said she just wanted to throw curls in it, ugh, no!!!! It's been three hours!!!!!!!!! She told me I couldn't have the other style because it'd take three hours?!?! She spent forty-five minutes maybe less actually doing my hair though. It was a nightmare- especially for my girls. Here's the best part: She charged me $127. It was suppose to be 20% the color. She didn't do nearly a full nor a partial highlight, it was 16 foils!!!!! I just pay and leave because my girls are hungry and tired. Waste of our time and my gift!! I get home and look at the back and it is the ugliest hair job I've seen. I'm serious. I can't wear it up, down or in a braid because the weird highlight! And it's completely opposite of the picture! It's like two different hair styles- one poorly highlighted shoulder length cut with brown hanging chopped to all get out hanging under by about five plus inches! Completely awful!! I wish I could post a picture. I told my boyfriend the last time she chopped my hair up that she was a bad stylist!! Now, I am sitting here unable to sleep because I am freaking out. I'll call in the morning. Let's hope for the best. I have interviews next week. I called and the salon manager- the one who did my hair- was rude! I received a refund, but it's going to cost double to get my hair fixed. read more
