Everyone was really nice in the shop and as soon as I got there my beautician got started. The whole process was ok. I mean I wasn't head over heels for my hair or my ends being trimmed. Both were borderline good. I liked the people though. It was a bit pricey, $85 for color, which I love, wash, and basically flat iron because I still have a head full of dead ends. If I can't find another salon I'll maybe go there.

As soon as she rinsed off the color, I said, "Oh no! it's red! I told you, I am a blonde& if you don't mix the color right it will turn red." "That's not red, it's your scalp that's pink." Then, they won't style your hair, but have you leave with it wet. "If we style it, it will frizz." Then use product! "No, I can't style it, it's frizzing." Of course, it's frizzy, you didn't use any product & you just barely dried it!! Then when you go to check out, thoroughly disgusted, they will charge you DOUBLE what they quoted when you came in. I am a blonde, not a red head. After she rinsed it, I could see that it was RED. She said, "No, it's just your scalp is red." Come on woman, I can see it with my own eyes!! Afterward I went to another salon & asked them, is this auburn? They all agreed it was. If you look at a horse, but tell everyone it's a butterfly, it's still going to be a horse. Then I go to pay & it's bait & switch. Instead of the $65 color quoted, suddenly it's $110. Then when you talk to the owner Angela and ask her to fix it, she will make it obvious that she DOES NOT CARE!!! "You didn't make clear what you wanted.". Lies, deception, rip off !!!! Now I have to go to my mother's funeral with dark auburn hair Level 5 when I am a blonde Level 8!!! I will have to have color correction & that is another $200. I found posts about Susan @ Salon Salado on the Nextdoor app and then checked out the reviews on Yelp. It was one of the best salon experiences I've had in years and below are the reasons why.... 1. I have extremely thin & fine hair that shows even the smallest cutting or coloring mistake, but there were none. 2. She took the time to find out what I really wanted and made sure I understood what choices were made. 2. For the first time, in many years, I walked out of the salon loving my hair and feeling pretty. 3. She's great with bangs and did them perfect, which hasn't occurred in the last ten years. 4. While drying my hair, she showed me tricks on how to style in ways that had never been explained in the 40 years getting my hair done. 5. The pedi/mani she gave was fantastic.
