Shame on me! I gave Jane chance after chance but she can't meet the bar. Jane is a very nice young lady but only knows ONE HAIRCUT. The first time I went Jane did okay but I needed some adjustments. I understand if a stylist doesn't nail it if they have never seen you before. I called and was told to come back for any adjustments needed. Jane then gave me the best haircut ever! The second time Jane acted like she knew me and cut my hair thinking I was someone else. I don't know who would want a haircut so awful. Once again I called. She did some adjustments but didn't really listen to what I was telling her. Still a bad result but Jane admitted on her own she made a mistake cutting my hair to someone else's requirements. Number three! I felt I had to give Jane another chance since she admitted her mistake after seeing the haircut she gave me previously without my having to say anything. Unfortunately, good character doesn't equate to talent. When I went in I had my hair styled so she could get a refresh on how I wear it, bangs and parted on the left. I told her I need layering and feathering everywhere because my hair is fine but also thick and heavy. This time she cut, cut,cut to the sides of my head which is now extremely short and thin. but didn't on the back! I look Ike she gave me a "Mullet" haircut like men had years ago! It was like she had never seen me before. My hair on top was way too long and parted in the middle. Isn't this beginning to sound like the movie "Fifty First Dates"? I have now made an appointment with someone proven in Austin to repair it! It's pretty shitty when you feel the necessity to go to another city to get a crappy haircut repaired! Now what should have been a one and done is costing me well over $100. FOR A HAIRCUT! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Kim should probably take a few classes on communication and customer service, along with going back to cosmetology school. Beyond ridiculous that the service requested, after the test strand came out good, was denied with a string of excuses given, which were contradictory to each other. I went to Salon Elements for the first time and have found my forever salon. Kaytlyn was wonderful! She listened to what I wanted and asked questions before and during the cut to make sure it was what I wanted. I ended up getting exactly what I asked for. Perfect!!! read more

I went in to make an appointment in person and was given one the following week. On the day of my appointment which was at 2pm, I arrived 15 minutes early. I was offered a water, which was nice, but I declined and the lady who greeted me said it wouldn't be too much longer. My appointment time came and went. 1 stylist was with a customer and the other two ladies were at the middle table talking about hair colors. When it was 15 minutes after my appointment and a customer walked in straight to a chair I left. I guess not all customers' time is valued. I was disappointed in the treatment. No good, my Hair was so uneven it toke 4 months of re-cutting and condition to got my hair up, now it is beautiful and longer and even.I'm not blaming the Stylists even I could, I blame myself to believing they where great friends, and that is wrong, In a business, they mostly pretend to be your friend, that's how People make there money. I came in today for a brow tint and sugaring hair removal (again, eyebrows) and was helped by Sadie. First off, this was possibly the most fun I've ever had just getting my eyebrows done! She was amazing! She listened to everything I had to say, even advised me that the brow tint may not be what I wanted BUT let her know, 'I'll try anything once!', so work your magic - and she did! She was such a hoot and very easy to chat with. I will most definitely be returning! I've never felt so comfortable being at a salon as I did here. Thank you! read more

I went in excited to become pearl blonde. I left with white hair, blue in a few spots. The first time I went I left so highly satisfied, they're so kind there, they're warm and talkative. I was 4 hours in and if I chose to go another round of toner, that might have gotten me to the color I intended to leave with. That would've added to my cost, so I decided against it. She recommended I try it for a little just to see. It's a couple weeks later, after many failed attempts to bring it to something resembling that blonde, to giving up and trying to go dark blonde without success. They're so sweet, the time flew by with them. I just can't afford them. I left spending 375 dollars. Which is reasonable, my hair took so much effort. But, it hurt leaving an appointment feeling unconfident after all of it. Back to the salon to get it fixed. read more

It was my first time at this salon, and I'm the type of person that likes to seek reviews first to get an idea of the establishment. I've already seen a few positive reviews on Iggi, so I decided to schedule an appointment with him. Upon meeting with Iggi, he is a very warm and friendly person. He listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions. I only requested a haircut and style during my visit, and it was precisely what I wanted. The only negative that I can comment on, is that he is moving overseas permanently sometime during the end of the year, and I just started to like him cutting my hair :( I'm extremely picky with my hair and I can't seem to find any stylists in the area; to put it bluntly, up to my standards. Came to this salon with my children 5 and 8 ... I badly needed my hair cut and my husband is gone "military" so I just hoped they would sit through it ok! ...... one of the women that works there dont have her name ... but she set my kids up with some cookies and bottled water at a table... and if that wasn't enough she sat and talked with them!! She also styled my son's hair with some wax, and gave them some crystal ornaments off the Christmas tree in the salon!... I got to sit stress free and just get my hair done! As a military wife this is huge!!!!! I cant say thanks enough! If we weren't moving to drum in a month I would be here monthly! Also my hair turned out awesome! I went back to SE today. Last time I went I was displeased with the heavy pressure to buy their products and with how extremely dark my hair came out. The first time I had part of my hair dyed brown (which was black for 2 months) and part bleached and dyed purple. The purple part came out lovely and stayed very long and that was all I wanted done today so I went back. I had a different girl, Jocelyn who I really, really liked and would definitely go back to. She did a quick trim and then my purple. She was SO kind and easy to talk to, NEVER ONCE bothered me about buying a product, and even suggested she bleach my hair there and put the purple on but that I keep the purple on for the rest of the day and rinse it out myself later to keep my color longer. It was a MUCH better trip than before. I only didn't give it a 5 because I paid almost $30 for just the trim (literally, just a trim, nothing special) which I think was kind of expensive. But other than that, great experience there. read more

Stylist didn't inform me of extra charges when adding products to my hair simply because "my hair needed it". I paid 2X more than any other stylist and took 2X time to have cut and color. I don't have time to write about the outcome of my highlights because I don't see any. Just colored my hair and did a few strands instead of 1/2 my hair. My stylist was Tabitha and she is awesome. I also had a sugar waxing (eyebrows) done as well. I personally normally breakout, have redness for a few days, and normally have left over residue whenever I go for a waxing at any other place. Here, jade not only did a phenomenal job on my brows but, the sugar waxing is great for my sensitive skin and I will definitely be going back just based on that service alone. Now for Tabitha , she was so much fun to work with. I'm normally not picky about my hair or any colors. I normally just let stylists try any colors they wanna throw on or try out and if I like it cool if not I just let it grow out and try another one. That was not the case today. She suggested we try a blush blonde baylage and , I loved the end result. Highly recommend this salon! read more

These reviews are old. There's no nails done and the girls claim to do Balayage and charge $250 ^^ and do nothing but damage your hair in foils and give you highlights instead that look terrible!! I will never go back to this place and they should not claim Balayage if they don't know how to do it! I could have had partial highlights done for $35 rather than this mess I have now! Tabatha was very friendly and did an okay job with my haircut. The shampoo and conditioning was excellent and I left happy. I would have only changed a few small things. I am very happy with Salon Elements. Being a military spouse, It is always tough when we move for me to find a good dentist, and also a good hair salon. I tried a different salon in the market heights shopping area, but wasn't impressed. I tried Salon Elements next and I loved it! They made me feel very comfortable, and I could tell that some of the other customers had been regulars for years by the conversation...almost felt like family! I have shorter hair, so that can be a challenge- and Grace did great! I am so happy to have found this place. Truly discussed! I went in to get my hair done my stylist was not bad BUT I spent 6 hours in the chair because my color was messed up multiple times. I finally left because I was nearly to tears with frustration. On my way out the manager said "I liked you hair better when it was blonde" (after I'd spent my whole day getting rid of the blonde). My husband then called the salon to try to get a compromise because of the disrespect and poor quality of service. The manager promised a refund; then turned around a revoked the refund charging me $155. The owner did nothing but stand by and watch. DO NOT USE THIS SALON. read more

The first time I got my hair cut at this place, the lady didn't listen at all! I said to angle my hair to my face, but not so short that it wouldn't stay behind my ears. The lady, jacklyn cut till I almost had bangs, and it DIDN'T stay behind my ears! She cut it how she thought looked good on me, not how I wanted my hair to look! After weeks of reading reviews and debating about which salon/stylist to go to, I decided to try Shea at Salon Elements. I am EXTREMELY happy with my choice. I've been to Shea twice now (once for a haircut and another for highlights), and she is the only person I will go to for as long as I'm in Texas. She did such a great job with the haircut that I knew I could trust her with the color. (And I am very picky about who I go to for color!) First, the haircut was exactly what I was looking for; I had been to two other salons, and neither one gave me what I was asking for, but she got it the first time. Then for the color, she gave me the most amazing highlights. I haven't had such gorgeous highlights in YEARS - very natural, fine pieces of blonde and brown. I love it so much, I never want the color to grow out or fade! All I have to say is, if you are looking for someone to cut and/or color your hair, make an appointment with Shea at Salon Elements. You will not be disappointed - she is a perfectionist when it come to hair. What more could you ask for?? read more

Made a trip to get a hair cut. I had a a picture with an idea in mind. I walked in going off of the ratings they had since my stylist is now in Georgetown. What a mistake! I knew as soon as I sat down for the shampoo it was going to be a bad cut but gave her the benefit of the doubt because she was nice. As soon as she finished the wash she semi dried my hair and as I got up and tilted my head forward I literally had water splash out of my ears onto the floor. So without a towel to clean up the water dripping from my head I walked to the chair and sat down. She started brushing my hair out very aggressively. She did not have a delicate touch at all. If I had any dead skin cells on the back of my neck, they're gone with the way she exfoliated it with that comb. I literally felt like I got beat up. At one point in the hair cut she looked at it with that shrug of "eh it looks ok." She then blow dried it with an outward flip so I could see the "layers". I just ended up looking like an 8 year old girl. I still left her a tip when I shouldn't have and she stared as I wrote it down without any privacy. Either way about it I should've left with an A line bob with layers and bangs. I left with a regular butchered bob and face framing that was uneven and chunky because I wasn't going to let her ruin my bangs. The environment wasn't very professional nor did it have a down home feel either. The stylists were doing each other's hair when I walked in and talking either about a customer or another employee. I am new to area and found reviews for Salon Elements to be positive. Grace is truly an artist. My hair color and cut were such a positive transformation! (Our son and my husband were also impressed). I did purchase a couple of styling products that were used by Grace, however was never pressured to do so like many places. Also sugaring was no problem at all for those like myself who fear pain. Pain free and easy to tolerate. I thank Grace and the Salon for an excellent experience. I have been to Salon Elements twice, both times I would have to say I underwhelmed. I think the salon itself is nice - clean and friendly, however, it is expensive and I felt uncomfortable with both stylists I was assigned to. On my recent experience, I had called for an appointment and specifically asked for someone who had experience with short hair and pixie cuts. Upon arrival, I was placed with Jane. Picking out a color was not comfortable, but I chose to trust her. picking out a highlight color was even more uncomfortable, but again, I went with it. After processing the color and then the highlight (an hour and a half in) she then tells me that the highlight is not lifting, but instead of confronting me, she continues to let it process to see if it will continue to take. Finally coming to the agreement to wash it out and dry it so I can be the judge - I told her that I couldn't see any difference and wouldn't know that there were highlight - she told me that she could see them...She then agreed to bleach the highlights - another 30 minutes. Finally getting to the cut, I show her a previous picture and she gets all excited and says "Ya! Let's do THAT!" The end result was nothing like my picture and she cut one side way too short. Is it a bad cut - NO. Is it bad color - NO. But after 3+ hours and $120 later, I would have at least liked to have been happy with the services provided, instead of walking away wishing I had gone elsewhere....I will not return and would suggest looking into smaller salons that aren't branded with Bumble and Bumble or Paul Mitchel read more
