Beauty services review - I would just give 1 star, but I'm giving 2 because I appreciate the masking requirement. I had my hair cut here, and it was AWFUL. I told the stylist I wanted lots of layers to reduce the weight and bring out my natural wave. She basically gave me a trim, and then blow dried my hair straight. It's uneven, and even though she told me she was going to make it less blunt and choppy, she didn't. She trimmed one part of my bangs way too short. I kept waiting for her to start actually cutting my hair, but she seemed distracted by chatting with a new employee. When the haircut was over, I was speechless. It didn't look much different than when I came in, but it was definitely worse. I didn't want her touching my hair anymore, so I just paid and left. Then I cried in my car. Save yourself some time and money, and get your hair cut elsewhere!!!! read more

Well, I have contacted the store and was told that the video they have shows my hair looks fine. I went in with brown hair and asked for blonde highlights. I left with multiple different shades of hair. There was zero resolution, they will fix it. She said they could do a free hair care as the stylist fried my hair. I refuse to go back to the store and want a refund for what I paid. I leave for vacation and have to pay another $165 out of pocket to have it fixed so it looks presentable. read more

I love beauty have a loyal Ulta customer for a few years. The east side Ulta has always made me feel welcome have been extremely helpful every time I come in. This is not the case with this location. I did not feel welcome or wanted in this store and when I got to the check out the manager was hovering over the checkers , who I knew were not new, trying to get me to spend more not money and discouraging me from using coupons. I also got some attitude from said manager when I refused her requests. I am a student who has learned how to shop smart, but I left this location feeling guilty for using a coupon and I don't think that's how you're shopping appearance should ever be. Definitely check out east side Ulta, far better experience there every single time. read more

Worst Ulta ever. They treat their employees horribly and ignore customers. One day i went in there and an employee was searching a customers pockets and bags in front of the whole store! That i know is against policy! Plus they are always out of products. read more

Had a less than stellar experience my first (and last) visit to this location. The two vampires hanging out at the front greeted me when I walked in and the look was "old lady = not worth our time". In my defense, I'm a young looking 50-something but to Gothy + Vampira, not worth breaking up their mutual admiration society meeting. So I wandered a bit, did not see what I wanted, so asked the checkout person. She said they did not carry Ahava nor Korres products. Decided to check out the bath products and guess what?!?!?! Found a shelf of Ahava products. Found what I wanted and decided this was going to be my ONLY purchase ever in this store, so went to checkout. Ms "we don't carry it" did not bother to apologize or make nice about her error, further cementing in my decision never to return. Ulta - can you say Sephora???? Oh, by the way: I did not blink to spend $75 on one Ahava product. Would have spent more if I had been treated like a customer. :/ read more

Worst Ulta beauty SALON in the state of South Dakota. I cannot fathom how inappropriate the workers are. The "manger" was FAR from being manager material. I got my hair done a month ago. I had scheduled an appointment to go full blonde (not platinum, more of a honey/Ashy blonde) When I arrived I felt pressured into a balayage after she tried to tell me its "a lot to take care of and high maintenance when going full blonde" after dying my hair blonde several times In the past, the information was not new to me. (Just a tip for anyone that's never dyed their hair.. it's not about what the hair dresser wants, it's about what the consumer wants-- even if it's the craziest request) My hair at the time was about a light brunette color. She told me it was more "convenient" and less "time consuming" as it was not. The appointment took over 3 hours just for a balayage which it is equivalent to a full blonde treatment. She seemed rushed and didn't even use foils and she told me it was "stupid that hair dressers even use them because it's a waste" however, I don't judge certain techniques hairdressers use, this seemed to be a bit rushed and the dye barley touched my hair. She left the bleach in for about 30-45 minutes. When she washed it out it didn't even look touched, not even a single highlight showed up. Sitting in her chair upset, I didn't say much because I felt the service would cost more if I told her I didn't like the outcome. I know working for a salon can tend to lead to a lot of gossip due to how many females work at an Ulta, but mind you, the manager was talking down about a new hire who came from a hair dressing school. The new hire stood next to the booth that I was at. She was cutting a young boys hair. My hair dresser left my booth several times to scowl and take over for the new hire. It was like watching high school all over again. When it was time to wash out my hair, she filled me in on how "bad of a hair dresser" she and "how she doesn't listen to us". Not only did this irritate me, but it made me sad. Imagine talking down about your employees to a customer... as a result I payed full price but you'd be a fool to think that I tipped her horrible service. When I drove home I could see blotch spots due to her careless "technique" needless to say, I do NOT recommend getting the salon manager MALORY to dye your hair or have a blonde service with her. A quick edit: I forgot to mention on several occasions, I'd call to talk to a hair stylist about detailed hair care products that stylist went to school for and studied this stuff. Instead, on MANY occasions, I was put on the phone with an operations manager or someone that's not familiar or knowledgeable about what I was asking ... super disappointing. read more

I love this location. I feel far more comfortable here than I do the Stand alone Sephora locates in the mall. I always get the help I need, I rarely leave empty handed even when I make multiple trips in one week! read more

Alli cut my hair yesterday and did an AWESOME job! I was a little apprehensive before I got my hair cut because my hair is thick, coarse, heavy, and wavy...basically unmanageable. I had nothing to fear...Alli did an amazing job! She performed a miracle and I LOVE what she did! Thanks Alli :) read more
