My 10 year old son has had his haircut at both of the Sioux Falls locations and has always left very happy. Kjersten has always done a great job. He has horrid cowlicks and when he walks out he looks great! The stations have a television and without hesitation she will ask him if he wants cartoons, sports or what on. She talks with him and not other stylists and makes him feel important. The store itself is clean and comfortable. You can make appointments online, call or even walk in. They don't carry so much product that you feel they are pushing a million things at you like when at other salons. They do however have a great ManStore line of product that is amazing! read more

Well, To start she wouldn't even listen to me when I said take a very small amount off. And the head massage and wash was gross and very awkward. And for a $21 haircut it was honest garbage. Never going back. They don't listen to your requests and just get to chopping. So if you actually care how you look. Don't go there you will come out disappointed. read more

Went for a haircut before a wedding. I'm not from around the area and needed a haircut. I do a very typical haircut which is finger length on top and a #2 guard on the side. I don't know how you can screw they haircut up soooo bad. I told the Laura S, who cut my hair, that I used to have a hard part in my hair. After she was done cutting my hair...she asked if I wanted a hard part put in cuz she forgot what I said. A hairstyle with a hard part is WAYYY different than a haircut of 2 on the sides with finger length on top. How do you forget what kind of haircut I wanted AFTER you have finished cutting my hair?!? Also, my bangs are on a 30 degree slope. My left side is 2 inches longer than my right side. Again...how do you screw up THAT bad on a routine cut? read more

I have been going here for quite a while now. While I have had good experiences with other stylists, I prefer to schedule an appointment with Kjersten - who is a joy to be around, and always makes my hair look good. The price is great, service is great. There are free peanuts, water, coffee and treats in the waiting area. I sometimes bring my 3 young kids with me, and they are entertained while I get my haircut. I got my 3 boys cut here and I could have done a better job at home myself. We told them to cut it short on the sides and long on top and it looks like all they did was buzz cut their hair. My one son even has little chuncks out of the top of his head where they cut his hair! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

I have very curly hair, and it's hard to find a good place in SF where they 1) Don't give me a mullet by accident (no joke!), 2) Don't give me a "high-and-tight" when I say that I still want my curls to show up, and 3) Don't charge me $30 for it. The Man Salon does a wonderful job of catering to my curly-hair whims while still respecting the fact that I'm getting a hair cut, not a perm or anything girly. The ladies there are very talented, talkative (or not, depending on your preference), and all have some type of tattoo (which makes me chuckle because it's not a dark, shady place by any means). In addition, they do a wonderful job with my toddler, when he needs his hair cut. Prices are very fair, and if you schedule an appointment, the wait-times are very reasonable. read more

This is the only salon that my fiancé has gone to where I didn't cringe at his haircut. Sara did an amazing job with his hair and the cut didn't accentuate his square face like other stylists. The price is so reasonable and cheap for all that they do compared to other salon's overpriced rates and poor cuts. Definitely going back! read more

Great place to get your hair cut. You get peanuts to start then get a good hair cut along with a shoulder massage. The hot towel and head massage when they shampoo is also great. I would highly recommend Mandy as someone to go to. She is the reason I will keep going and is always friendly. Def 5 star service everytime. 16 dollars for a haircut is a little bit much but so worth it after its all said and done. read more

Moving from the east coast worst thing happens is there is not a real barber shop for mens so when i found this place i was very relief and happy than i didnt have to go to a super cut place again and just hope for the best , anyway the Man Salon at 41st have really good stylist and i was happy with my hair cuts but i dont know if becouse the high demand there is to many "stylist" righ now that getting the best hair cut now is become a lottery , im being very desapointed in my last two visits just becouse the Men barber salon attention to detail is not there, i can get this at any wal mart super cut place and the last girl was caind of rude too,i can give the name but im not like that.The place is great the service very good but is just becoming a just another place to wish have a good hair cut .detail detail detail. First off this place is a great place for a haircut. With that said, a person can never seem to get a weekend appointment there, let alone a walk in, I've joined their Appointment Website awhile back at their own recommendation to solve the appointment issue and yet never is there one available that works within our schedule (Sundays) as we live out of town and come to Sioux Falls for church and shopping from 45 minutes away. We've been given a free cut here and there over the years for the hassles of walking in and after over an 2 hour wait still not getting a cut, it's beyond ridicules anymore after the years and the owners are refusing to deal with the problem, we've been told numerous times that they're looking at a second location and it would open "soon", that was over 3 years ago and even last fall it was stated again, along with the stylist making a snide comment as "it is the weekend, we don't want to give our weekends up too to work but we do, you should try for during the week" last I checked if you're open on Sunday's that means you're open and with employees that shouldn't be making remarks as such, we're through with the Man Salon, it's time for change, great concept, great business, but they're only hurting themselves and it's time to make it known and do something about it, there are national franchises that for some odd reason don't have this problem on weekends and Sundays, so if they can do it than it IS possible to not have this problem, we have always made it a point to support local owners and businesses even down to our groceries, boots, and clothing but when things like this happen what is a family to do? read more
