I came in looking for a light foundation and Shahrooz accommodated me and took her time to try different shades of the Clinique foundations on me. My skin has some darker spots and is dry because I use salicylic acid to get rid of acne breakouts. She recommended a few products that I felt good about when she tried them on my face. She also rec'd a vitamin c serum and an acne serum that I can dab on my face. Ladies, if you're looking for make up, Shahrooz is the person to look for because she really takes her time with you. She also ended up checking us out and waited for me to get my coupon on the Ulta app for my purchase. I'm leaving really happy and excited to see how I was valued as a customer. yeah no..... after reading some reviews and what i experienced i think this needs to be addressed. The employees need better training on how to speak to customers and act accordingly. I understand there are policies in place like any other business to upswell and push certain products but not to such an extent where you overwhelm me and i pay don't even get all my items just to get away from you. My boyfriend went to ulta to grab some of our shampoo and hair products, i walked over to meet him and saw a woman lingering a worker whatever maybe she saw us looking and wanted to see if we needed help only to find out she previously was bothering my boyfriend trying to not get him to buy the products he was looking at, she kept trying to push some other hair products even after he told her no, which then i told her no, and then again i told her no because we pay people money and have a routine and we will not be considering any other items. She continued to linger around us to the point she told us again to not use the product we were in front of that our hair is dry and frizzy and that we need to buy x product. not a way to get anyone to buy anything but the pestering was too much to the point my boyfriend walked over took the product and threw it elsewhere so she'd leave us alone. If I could give this store a zero star I would. If it wasn't that Taman is THE most AMAZING hairstylist I would never step foot inside this store ever again. It seems like every visit gets worse. The customer service is less than lacking. I removed items from today's purchase because they did not honor the "online" free Skin Wellness bundle of free trial items. The cashier ran my ULTA card 4 times which locked it up. I had to stand at the register to call customer service and find out I could not use my MC due to a pending payment of $130 that had not yet been processed when I had at least $1500 available on this card. Which means I didn't get my points either because I had to pay with a different credit card. If this was the only story I had I would not be sitting here writing this review. Taman has been doing my hair for at least 3 years. She is THE ONLY reason for my visits. The last visit was during Christmas and I had about $450 worth of products and was not allowed to use a $10 coupon. They do not stock enough inventory for the promotions you see online. So be prepared to leave stuff at the register if your purchase includes any freebies. Which has happened to me as well. And they are totally okay with that too. They won't try and offer you something else. Hence, my opinion for the lack luster customer service. Studies have shown that a customer will share their positive experience with approximately 5 people. But a negative experience is shared with 10+ potential future customers. I love the location in Dania point so you can hit several different spots while here if you need to and make an afternoon of it. They have their own shared parking lot with some other anchor stores so parking was very easy. The line inside was super long and barely moved so that was annoying. read more

The vibe at this Ulta store is strange every time I enter. I don't get the peculiar customer service. I watched one sales associate accompany a group of teenagers the whole time. I had one greet a group of people and passed me, shocked to see me, but no greeting. I had one sales associate I approached, but she had a strange demeanor. This review is for the Salon at Ulta in Dania. I regularly shop at different Ulta and due to availability i came to this fairly new location--they just celebrated being open for one year this past week. I scheduled my appointment on their website and selected "any stylist". Ulta has a pricing structure for their stylists where some stylists are a bit more than others. However, they're all usually pretty good so I selected "any". I was lucky enough to get Ann Marie and she was so sweet and thorough with my hair service. She did an amazing job and made sure I felt comfortable with the steps she was taking with my hair by including me and showing me how much she was going to cut off. She's fairly new to the salon but she's been in the biz for a while so in my book I felt like I was with an expert pro. My niece and I were racially profiled at this Ulta location on November 26th. We had extra time before our flight and decided to stop in for some last minute shopping. Every time we picked up a perfume tester to smell a sales advisor stood directly in our face. The message they were trying to convey of us not being welcomed was very obvious. I periodically get calluses on my palms from using the dumbbells at my gym.I never thought for the Love of Jesus that I would be a customer at this place. Typically I bring this Azerbaijani debutante to the Aventura location to get her eyebrows trimmed. I never really knew what this place was about, outside of makeup & hair products, I just thought these stores were "big estrogen depots". But I had a problem, I recently had a pedicure and the soles of my feet looked like I was related to Quasimodo. My pedicurist removed most of my calluses, but I was very much interested in purchasing the same callus remover that she was using so I could do it myself. I already had a so-called callus remover, a cheap little pedicure tool I bought from CVS or Walgreens, I cannot remember, but it barely worked. But when it "worked", it required immense energy and time to remove the most minimal of calluses. So after I left the beach from doing my morning meditation I searched online for a "pedicure callus remover". When I saw that Ulta had literally the identical callus remover my pedicurist used, and for only about $12. Being I was down the street from Dania Pointe Mall, I was there in less than 5 minutes. The girls in here were really helpful, when I arrived at the pedicure section there were actually a few I could choose from. I was actually shocked at how affordable this place is because from the outside it looks pricey. Anyway, when I arrived home later the night, I soaked my feet in my foot spa for about 15 minutes, then I proceeded to use the callus remover. Wow, I barely used it for 3 minutes on each foot and it removed the calluses so easily. Plus it was so easy to use because of its large size and big handle. I periodically get calluses on my palms from using the dumbbells at my gym, so I'm going to return tomorrow to get a callus remover for my hands. read more

I popped in to ask for specific color matching help for foundation, concealer + other products. Keren took the time to talk through lots of different options and was extremely professional with her make up application, giving lots of tips, tricks and helpful advice. To say I was excited Ulta opened up in my neighborhood is an understatement. This new store in Dania Point is the large and well designed and always stock with the latest merchandise. From the most premium companies of makeup, hair products and hair tools. They sell the lower brands of makeup, and hair products as well. You will find a nice selection of fragrances, beauty products for skin and nails as well. In the back of the store you find their hair salon. I have been here several times and found my new blowout place. Autumn is my designer and she is awesome I highly recommend her. They staff is always willing to help you find the products that you need. They have a points system here and when you collect so many you will get money off your purchase. If you sign up with your email they will send you coupons and sometimes you can get a 20% off all purchases. I just love this I have saved so much money. read more

Literally just had the worst haircut of my life. I originally booked my appointment for 4:45 but was running late so I went online and changed it to 5:00. I almost immediately received a phone call if I could come earlier, I let her know I would try but probably wouldn't make it. As soon as I arrived she rushed me to the back and started washing my hair. I mean she literally did not say hi, ask for my name, or would let me put my stuff down. Needless to say I never got her name either. She washed my hair in a matter of 10 minutes and immediately started blow dry it (which confused me). I asked her if she was gonna do the hair cut and she said oh okay you want a hair cut. She asked how much I wanted off and I said I was looking to get a trim she said okay and immediately started cutting (on practically dry hair) and didn't show me how much she was cutting off. She also didn't ask me where I part my hair literally none of the typical questions I expected. I just sat there in total silence incredibly uncomfortable as she rushed away. She then proceeded to only blow dry the top of my hair and tell me I was done. Maybe I'm wrong on that but I thought the style was included with the hair cut. Overall, a terrible experience and I would never recommend anyone visit the salon. read more

Checked in for curbside pickup today at 6:55pm (not realizing they closed at 7) when I saw they locked the doors se 7:03 I called to make sure someone was going to bring out the order. Once they verified and found my purchase they told me I needed to come to the door to pick up my order. I explained that I had 2 babies in the car and I could not leave them in the car to pick up my curbside order . I was again told because it was after 7 they couldn't bring it out to me. I love this place. The store is always super clean and I can always get what I need. They have tons of brands and I'm a skincare junkie so it's nice to know I can find all types of products at every price point. We can't use the testers but I was shown the glam lab feature on the Ulta beauty app by a beauty advisor and it helps with shade matching. It was pretty cool. read more

I'm pretty upset with my experience today. I had to run around the store trying to find someone to help me. When I finally found someone she was nice suggested a cover up for me. We tried it on my skin - I loved it. She then went on to tell me they were out of it. I said ok can you call another store for me so I can find it somewhere else. She sad no you'll have to do that. I was clearly in there to spend money, could she not have suggested another cover up for me that was available? Or maybe even take a minute and call the other store? Went in with appointment to get partial highlights and a cut. I was in there for 4 hours and the stylist tried to do the highlights twice, and even tried to add color and toner to correct her mistakes; which actually made the whole thing much worse; I am so upset. I am on vacation and now I look horrible! I have to go back again tonight at 5 pm to have someone else try to fix my hair. Lord this has been a horrible and embarrassing experience, I don't even want to go outside and I am on vacation stuck in the house until I can get this fixed! I have attached photos. Hopefully the correction will be something I can live with, will update. Virginia UPDATE Went back to salon as they said I could come in right now to get this corrected; when I arrived the same woman told me to have a seat. Meanwhile she is talking to a male stylist in hushed tones; she starts getting some dyes etc together and then comes with her cart to where I am seated; I asked her what are you doing? I am going to use some darker dye since you said you don't like it now!!! Now I am really upset it is not that I don't like it, it is a mess! And I told here that I don't want her to touch my hair; and she told me then I have to come back at 5 pm when the other stylist is available. No one else even approached me to apologize or offer any help! I walked out very upset. I have uploaded photos of my hair before ULTA for your reference. I went to SALLY BEAUTY AND WILL CORRECT THIS MYSELF! Not happy at all with this location or the store staff and management that let this happen and does not care to even talk to me. Virginia UPDATE got medium plum brown age defy and 20 developer; my doesn't look perfect, but it is much better than what she did to me. Also she was going to "put some darker dye in to correct the disaster she created" but she never even came to me to ask if that is what I wanted or what color I might want to cover it up with before she went and mixed the dye! Outrageous just do whatever and don't ask me, I am glad I left and went to Sally and did it myself, I can't even imagine how it would have come out with her again and no one caring. I checked in for curbside pick up at 4:45pm. I waited for about 25 minutes and was about to call the store to ask if they were aware that I was waiting in the parking lot to receive the merchandise when a policewoman officer knocked on my window and asked me the reason I was waiting in the curbside parking I explained to her that I was waiting for a package and she told me that the pick up service that day was until 5:00pm. I told her that in their website appears that is until 7:00 pm. The police officer said that they told her in the store that it was until 5:00pm. Anyways I arrived 15 minutes before 5pm. The officer told me to come back other day but I couldn't because of work. The day before I had a medical procedure and for that reason I choose the pick up service. Even though I went inside the store to pickup my package. The police woman was inside the store in the counter when i entered probably in case that I was to complaint about the incident. And on top of that when I exited the store the police car was parked behind my car. Then the officer exited the store and drove her car away. I felt so embarrassed . They treated me like a suspicious person. I work at sales in a high end store and I've never seen before that disrespectful way to treat a customer.
