I usually don't write reviews, but I really wanted to mention how clean and well-maintained this office is every time I come in for an appointment. Everything always feels organized, sanitary, and welcoming, which immediately puts you at ease. The young lady at check-in, Fabiola, was also incredibly professional, friendly, and jovial from the moment I walked in. I actually remembered her from my very first visit there, which says a lot about the impression she leaves on patients. A couple of weeks ago, I also had such an amazing experience with one of the medical assistants, Melanie, that I felt compelled to share it. She helped calm me down while assisting during a recent surgery I had. I tend to get extremely nervous when it comes to doctors and medical procedures, and although I was internally panicking and trying not to show it, she continuously checked on me and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. What really stood out to me was how kind, reassuring, and empathetic she was. She made me feel genuinely cared for instead of just another patient being seen for the day. Her compassion and professionalism truly made an already stressful experience so much easier for me. As someone who pays close attention to detail, these small things made the entire experience feel smooth, comforting, and positive from start to finish. I went there for a skin reaction that became irritating to me. This clinic showed up on a list through my insurance network and in hindsight I really wish they hadn't. First of all I was about 10 minutes early for my initial appointment, yet I still ended up waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time with what looked like about 20 staff members (all polite) behind the desk and almost no one in the waiting area. Whatever. Once in the office, the doctor seemed nice enough but l felt very rushed and did not feel listened to. Not a good feeling. I was very quickly seen and prescribed a soap and a cream and given a handwritten note of my diagnosis. By the next day my skin had become so much more irritated. I called 24 hours later panicked and bothered, and was scheduled back in the office the next day (48-hours later). I was seen by the same doctor, who saw me again in a whirlwind-like rush, and stood by her initial diagnosis even when I said I felt like that diagnosis wasn't it. This time I was prescribed tablets. At the end of this second visit they wanted to charge me, to which I said "absolutely not"... I was not about to be made worse off and pay them twice (I have yet to see if they will honor this 2nd visit as free because it appears to be billed through my insurance at the moment... I'll update this post later!). The whole thing felt like a money grab. I left, filled the new prescription too, but even days in the tablets did nothing. I felt very let down. Anyway, after 2 days of no real ease, I booked an appointment elsewhere for a 2nd opinion. I got in days later. When that doctor examined me, she and the P.A. looked at each other, chuckled and shook their heads when I told them what I had been prescribed. She patiently - with no rush - told me what the issue was, explained why my skin was reacting, said that I was COMPLETELY misdiagnosed, prescribed a cream, and set a follow up appointment. I filled that new prescription from the 2nd opinion doctor and it worked like magic almost immediately. Within days my skin was flawless once again. Zero issues. I debated doing this part but here goes... PROS: - good location - free parking - clean, nice ambiance - kind staff at the front CONS: - long wait time - feeling rushed by the doctor - feeling unheard - being misdiagnosed - being charged twice for their misdiagnosis (we'll see how that goes) - being made to spend on creams & soaps that I shouldn't have been prescribed ***There are many doctors in this office, so I'm aware that maybe I drew the short straw.... But after the experience I had I feel like Minars is a "pretty" office, but as they say: "All that glitters is not gold". read more

Beware going to this office. The woman who answers, Sherike, is the most unprofessional person I have ever seen at a doctor's office. They advertise great waiting times, but be ready to wait an hour at times. Then when you call well in advance of your appointment (like hours) to ask if you can come at a different time, they say fine, but then they change their mind and are ready to cancel your appointment (even though I had talked to them earlier) and they knew we had traveled for an hour on a train. I had been so happy here, and now I am ready to file complaints. Not sure why people like that are working in offices where they have to speak to people. read more

I usually see Dr. Huo and NP Gomez, but I have seen multiple different doctors at this location, and they were all wonderful. The staff is extremely helpful; whether it is insurance questions, copay assistance, or referral issues, the ladies in the office will have your back. I recently had a biopsy done at Minars Dermatology and the experience that followed was deeply disappointing. A staff member called to deliver my diagnosis in under a minute with zero context, zero empathy, and zero explanation. When I called back to address this, she suggested it was my fault for not asking more questions. That is not how you communicate sensitive medical information to a patient. When I called the office to submit formal feedback, the receptionist refused to provide a direct email and instead gave me a Yahoo email address as their official contact. In 2026, for a medical practice, that speaks for itself. There is clearly a systemic training issue here that goes beyond one individual. I will not be returning. The only reason this isn't 1 star is because Dr. Jadoo himself was professional during my visit. read more

Outstanding Experience with Dr. Shailee Patel at Minars Dermatology! This was my first visit with Dr. Shailee Patel. I went in for a full body skin check and was extremely impressed by her warm personality and extensive knowledge of skin disorders. During the exam, she immediately identified several areas that required attention and was able to diagnose and treat them all during the same appointment. Dr. Patel took the time to clearly explain each finding and offered helpful recommendations to prevent future skin issues. The entire visit felt relaxed and thorough. I never once felt rushed. It's one of the better dermatology offices around in South Florida but I've been to better ones in another state. The staff is generally kind and friendly and I've never had to wait very long even though it's a busy office. The building is old and often the air conditioning is barely keeping the examining rooms adequately cooled. The waiting room is pleasant and has soft, soothing music in the background. They don't have a plastic surgeon on site which is a fairly big negative for me. I had Mohs surgery and had to go to another facility (with a gaping wound with a bandage), 5-10 minutes away for the cosmetic wound closure . They cauterized the wound before I left but it's still not an ideal setup. read more

I was seen by Dr. Marcelyn Coley who is now officially my dermatologist. She educated me on what's best for my skin type and how to treat Hirsutism. She is a coordinator at the office and has helped me tremendously in dealing with my insurance and jumping through hoops to make sure I always get my medication approved and on time . I've been to Minars twice now - once to see Dr. Modji for a medical consult (for eczema, primarily), and once to get a microneedling treatment with Diane Muzik. Both visits have been excellent. I've been seen on time, have had pleasant dealings with all involved, and have been very happy with the professionalism and bedside manner of both Diane and Dr. Modji. Since I'm only just beginning my treatment journey, I'll keep this brief (and update later, if/as necessary), but for now, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Minars as either a medical or cosmetic dermatological practice. read more

One of the skin experts at Minars Dermatology recently spotted a hard to see melanoma on the back of my left arm, thank goodness... They got it out, biopsied at, and personally phoned me with the good report. ,,,They also found two squamous cell spots, and likewise got rd of them....The Mohs Surgery lady, Dr. Balestra, was very thorough and also very kind and comsiderate....traits shared by all on the team from the receptionists (and their free Dunkin Donuts and coffee}. to the schedulers, nurses, assistants and all on their large team. I am very pleased with my MOHS surgeries performed by Dr Balestra. I have had many removals over the years and she is by far the best surgeon I have used. I especially enjoyed the music that played during the procedure. I was always trying to guess the song or sing along in my head so the distraction from having my nose cut on was awesome. During a follow up procedure that took place in the main building due to the AC not working, I noticed the music is more "spa like", relaxing but not distracting. I felt more at ease with the music Dr Balestra played. Sometimes it's the little things that make an experience. This dermatology group is the best. read more

I have been there a few times, the last time I called for an appointment , the person that answer the phone, because I could not remember the LONG name of the doctor I saw before, I told her she goes by her two first initials, she said " no" you did not, you saw doctor ****, so, she insisted to give me and appointment With Dr ******. I was a winner on that deal, because Dr *****, was great, better than the one I had saw before, and now I will always ask for her. My big problem, I had in the past melanoma, so my routines visits at a Dermathologist are important. So the great doctor, took care of all the pre melanoma I had on my body, And prescribe for me a prescription I had never hurt of before name, " Compond medication" that not many Pharmacy in the area can fill... so, the prescription was sent to that new drugstore to me, and when over the phone I asked questions about that unknown " Compond medication" what mix medications goes in it They said they were not allowed to tell me. Even that I found out my insurance HUMANA was not coverings the cost I called them up for help. About " Compond medication" They were wonderful, they call that drugstore, after two days of arguing with the drugstore to know, what medication was in " Compond medication" they got the name . It was, FLUOROURACIL and SALICYLIC ACID , . For one of the few time I do search on Google, I was happy I did . This medication , is very strong and can be very dangerous for some patients specially like me with KIDNEY Disease I GUESS MY NEW DOCTOR AT MINARS DERMATOLOGY'S OFFICE NEVER LOOK AT MY MEDICAL RECORDS BEFORE PROSCRIBING TO ME THIS VERY DANGEROUS " COMPOND MEDICATION" THAT COULD HAD PUT ME ON KIDNEY MACHINE. My family and I have been going to Minars Dermatology for many years without problems. Well, this year I decided I wanted to get sclerotherapy treatment and also start a facial treatment. I went to Minars expecting to get great service, but I was greatly disappointed. First I spent almost $700 on the sclerotherapy treatment without any results ( $250 for the consultation, $350 for the first treatment and the doctor prescribed very expensive ($89) compression socks from the Pill Box Pharmacy) My appointment was at 11 am; it was 11:40 am and I was still waiting. I had an appointment somewhere else at 1 pm and I didn't know how long the treatment would take, so I decided to tell the receptionist that I had to leave. When I was already in my car, someone called me telling me to go back because they were ready for me. I came back and the lady barely apologized. She looked annoyed with me. The doctor didn't even apologize. He did the treatment in a hurry missing many spider veins. I had to keep on reminding him that he was missing some sections. Anyway I followed all the instructions to a T wearing the compression socks ( they were very bad quality for such expensive pair of socks) for the whole week even slept with them and I got no results at all. I know sometimes it requires more treatments, but I thought I would see at least an improvement. I got nothing for almost $700. The aesthetician was another disappointing experience. I made an appointment for a free consultation. I know the consultation was free, but I thought she was going to look at my skin carefully, but the consultation lasted at most three minutes. She asked about what products I used on my skin and looked at me from far away ( like I had some contagious disease) told me that in my next appointment she would give me a chemical peel that the treatment would be for 10 minutes, I would go home with the peel on and I had to wash it after 6 hours. It would cost $175. Of course I cancelled that appointment. I went to a great aesthetician that gave me a real consultation and looked at my skin carefully through a magnifying glass and prepared a special treatment for me. Her name is Patricia Montana and I highly recommend her. Anyway neither my family nor I would be going back to Minars Dermatology. I'm sure we won't be missed; they already have too many patients, maybe that's why they don't treat them well. read more
