Went there for the first time in November and loved it and had my hair done by Pedro. He was amazing. I came all the way from Miami as I was doing work in the area. A few weeks later I scheduled another appointment with him. I didn't care if I needed to drive an hour to see him again. He was great! The day before the appointment, I get an email saying I have an appointment but with somebody totally different.. mind you, this is not just for a blowout. This was for color... so I called the place up and they said that Pedro no longer works there and that they put me with somebody else. They didn't even have the decency to call me ahead of time so I can talk with the new stylist to see if she's comfortable with my hair. Or even do a consultation.. I have extensions so the color match has to be very close if not perfect. To not even call a client to just let me know that Pedro wasn't going to do my hair because he no longer works there and just reassigned me to someone else without asking was very unprofessional.. I ended up canceling my appointment and going somewhere else, but this was a super big inconvenience because I couldn't find a place to see me the next day and it also pushed back my extension appointment.. I shared this with other stylists and they said that they should've definitely called to at least let me know that a new person was going to do my hair since this is more than just a blowout. The salon was noisy with only three people in the main room in a Thursday morning. The prices on MindBody are NOT accurate. The price for cut and blow dry says $65. Prices are not posted on their website or any other site that I could find. The owner is the person at the front desk, one who takes calls and really does it all. I believe the owner also creates pricing at her discretion? Not sure how that works but nothing was discussed or told to me up front. I was then told my services were $110. I was quite shocked! I don't think I have ever paid that much for a cut and blow dry even on Las Olas Blvd or Weston. I requested a cut and blow dry. I was then asked if I wanted flat iron also. Apparently, for a "hot tool" aka flat iron, it costs even more money. I have never been up charged so much for a basic haircut and blow dry. I will not return since it is so expensive and not very transparent about their pricing structure. read more

Let me start off by saying this place is amazing you walk in and everyone is so nice the place is super clean. I went in for a braiding class, they were having a special event! I sat and watched as they blow dried the last two customers because I arrived early. They both had Rapunzel hair and it was amazing soft and silky looking after the blow dry! The owner Tarin is super sweet, she made sure everyone had hands on training for the class and offered to stay pass the time to teach if you still didn't get it. I had the most horrible experience at this place and I would not recommend anyone from going. I went in for a blowout and while the stylist was drying my hair I noticed something was off with the heat they use. After she dried a strand by my ear, my ear was BURNING and I even told her that's really really hot. These people use unsafe levels of heat on your hair. I walked out of there with my hair smelling burnt, then after I washed my hair for the first time after the blowout, my hair was still smelling burnt and it was falling off in handfuls. I was traumatized at seeing this. Especially because I take very good care of my hair. Seeing your hair fall off in chunks while it is still smelling like burnt is traumatizing (btw it's been a week and the smell hasn't gone away). I decided to call the salon and the lady who picked up vehemently denied that it was them! First, my hair was not damaged by "bleach". Second, all of this mess started after I went to this horrible place and I didn't wash my hair until I called to complaint about what happened. The lady at the salon said that it was impossible for them to have damaged my hair. She then went to blame hair coloring (which she didn't even ask if I had) and to lie in my face and say that they didn't use any heat. If they don't use any "heat" then why was my ear BURNING after the stylist dried a strand that rested on my ear. If they don't use "heat" then what magically comes out of their hair drier? Of course they use heat and whatever product, but they're not conscious of how they are damaging people's hairs. I've been really affected by this service ever since. Seeing your hair fall in handfulls is not something anyone should experience. I ended up paying $70 for extreme damage to my hair. Please do not go to this place. I came in before doing a fitness photoshoot and needed some cool fun braids. They have a menu set up like drinks at a bar, very cute. You can look through the book while you wait to be seated. The decor also gives you a vibe of an upscale bar, with everything in white and the blow dryers hanging from the ceiling. I wasn't 100% sure on the braids but had a few ideas and in talking with my stylsits we were able to come up with a fauxhawk style look. She separated my hair into a half up and half down situation and then stated to braid the top portion. She was so nice and man, she worked fast on the braid. I have a lot of thick hair, my only complaint is that I wish she used some antifrizz or flat ironed the ends of the braid to avoid the flyaways. i had high hopes for this place...i did my homework and read lots of reviews. I landed on Bombshell Dry Bar. After all, if blow outs are all that they do, how bad could it be. I saw lots of reviews for one stylist in particular and i liked the way that his styles turned out, so i went ahead and made an online appointment to treat myself to a blow out for my graduation ceremony. I arrived a few minutes early and checked in. There was only one other client in the salon....and she is happily sitting in what i recognize to be my stylists chair with half-dried hair. Here we go. I know that i have an appointment. I know i'm on time to that appointment, and i know that my stylist will be very busy for at least the next 45 minutes with this lady's hair. WTF. After about 15 minutes of waiting, the receptionist calls me up to the desk to say that my stylist is too busy for me and it will be impossible for him to "squeeze me in today." Why am i being squeezed in if i had an appointment??? I was told my only option was a new girl that was open all day. Sweet girl (minus the religious, anti-drinking talk that made me uncomfortable), but this is NOT who i had an appointment with. She did an OK job, but not at all what i wanted. i could have done the same at home myself. My hair was flat, frizzy, and all remanence of curls gone by the time i got home. Sadly, the girl that had clearly taken my appointment slot looked radiant and i was green with envy....and frustration. No apology for the change in stylist, no apology for making me wait well beyond my appointment time. The receptionist honestly acted like i was an inconvenience.
