Well what was supposed to be a day of trying to feel positive and with hope after a bad depression combined with getting layoff AND waiting for a lumbar re-fusion to happen, end up to being the worse day and two more right after that. After reading reviews and applying the "let's make my own judgement" I decided to go and make an appointment for a balayage with Marco. Worse mistake ever!! , after showing him what I wanted and where I was heading on how light I wanted to eventually end in a far future, he was super nice explain to me how he works and agreed with me to work our way to platinum blond but obviously realistically speaking, it's going to be a long process since my hair was dark and WE BOTH AGREED to do it healthy, over time and little by little. Well none of that is what happened, there was a long way from all those words and advice from the execution of it. First he starts applying the bleach and we are chatting, once he was done with the back of my head and is working on the sides, the back of my head start to throw smoke from the wraps, immediately he checked, I asked and he said "oh it must be a químicas reaction to something on your hear" I immediately thought "damn I hope he's not burning it, I should of asked for a test strand" and then it clicked, he's the stylist and the professional he should know better, so in trying to think the brand last used at another salon that was organic and don't know what if that's affecting and I did tell him and he said maybe or I don't know, not sure what he said. Well long story short, he bleached my hair, washed it and brushed my hair wet, cut double of what we agreed and instead of being honest, like he was when he showed me a side where it didn't lift and blamed to be the "smoky wrap", he could have taking the picture closer for me to see the areas where you can see the hair is a few inches long, burned and super elastic, but no Marco decided after accusing me of showing up late to my appointment when in fact I was 15mins early to my original time solicited, and even after agreeing with the owner for a time change with the undertaking that I was going by my time since I had a medical appointment, also had to wait an entire day for him to be back at the salon and offer options, due why? I don't know, if I'm the owner of the salon the right thing to do is ask any other stylist to help the client immediately, specially after receiving an email with a message and pics of the client showing he hair is fried! During that day I told her I'm applying an oil mask to help my hair, next day come and Marco calls to tell me they will not di a refund but a treatment and to finish cutting my hair to eliminate the burned ends Well I get there, he does treatment and it help but you could still feel my hair was too damage, he was blow drying when I notice another section on my left side where the hair was mostly gone! That's when I really said enough! So he's response was that I must have had something on my hair for it to burn, what???? Only an idiot would not know if they have or haven't done Keratin treatments, or maybe I used the beard dye, oh! because he blame it on that or whatever else he could mention to pin it on instead of just owning the fact that he messed up and BURNED my hair of 4 years letting it grow. He said call the owner for a refund and after more than 3 hours on day one and another 2 on day three, $617 for the WORSE SERVICE IN THE UNIVERSE WITH THE WORST HAIR STYLIST EVER!!! plus $30 tip, and yes of course he said one price and add something that I didn't ask for to help remedie his F up I'm sure and he had the audacity to make me pay for it I end up with only a $275 refund to cover an extra $250 AT another salon that I should have waited for, to cut my hair, condition again and color Yeah sure! Broke even lmao! This place is a joke, don't bother to go there and I'm sorry for the owner because looks like shes fairly new and he's like "the go to" guy. Pieces of advice Fire that guy? He talks like he has more than 10 yrs of experience under his belt when he only has 2 and it shows he didn't learn a thing. People do not bother! I've visited the salon for 3 years and here's my feedback: -The salon invests in high-quality hair products, brushes, and blow dryers. -The salon is clean and well maintained (hair sink, salon chairs, etc.) -Location of the shop is great in terms of accessibility from the road and it's easy to locate the salon due to appropriate signage. -Prices for a blowdry are currently in alignment with the current market for salons that are focused on providing a blow-dry as their primary service. -I would not attempt to hair coloring as a service here after seeing their work. -Cassandra is the best when it comes to curly hair, but she no longer works there as of a month ago, so I'm not sure who I'll go to next. The other techs have mixed reviews about their skillset and customer service, so fingers crossed. (I know this feedback isn't the most helpful to newbies, but I'm hoping it's helpful to the salon owner.) Hope this helps! read more

First visit to Bombshell (or any blow dry bar, for that matter) and it was AMAZING!! So clean and chic, the staff was super friendly and I was super impressed to see the owner, Tarin was there. This is my 3rd review (second update). My favorite stylist left to become a nurse so I tried Ana San Juan. DO NOT USE HER. She actually kept slapping me in the face with my hair when it was wet and brushing it out. I had to cover my face and she still did it - at least 5 times. Finally I told her to stop smacking me in the face with my hair. "Oh so sorry, I didn't know" was her response. I think she was actually doing it on purpose. As to how my hair looked? Meh. She was able to place me with Jennifer M. for a morning appointment, and then texted me the next day when an afternoon appointment opened up. I was so touched that she remembered. I have to say...I have been to this blow dry quite a few times, and sometimes it's OK. But after my last experience, it's safe to say I won't be returning. The stylists are very inconsistent, for $50 (I have hair extensions) you run the risk of getting a crappy blow out. I booked a last minute appointment a few weeks ago with Diamond, a stylist I'd never used before. She was a really sweet woman but quite frankly my hair looked terrible, not to mention the blow out took 1.5 hours+. I was noticeably aggravated, I paid $50 for my hair to look terrible. Other staff saw what it looked like and did not mention a thing. Save your time and $, go elsewhere where they stylists who know what they're doing. read more

Will never go here again. My daughter got the Keratin treatment. Their website says it last 5 to 6 weeks. Less than a week and her hair was already frizzy. She is in college but was down for the hurricane so I told her to show them. They would not refund her money or re-do it. Only offered to blow dry it straight and said that is the only way it works which is nonesense as she has had this treatment before. Although her hair always has a wave, it is never frizzy. If she wanted to blow dry it all the time, we wouldn't spend that kind of money for keratin. Her hair would blow dry straight without it. But she is in college and doesn't have the time to spend constantly blow drying. We will not be going here again and will spend our money elsewhere. Go to this place only if you want a blow out or up-do. Keratin is a waste of money here. read more

Sometimes you walk out of a salon and feel like a million bucks. I just wished I'd stayed home and done it myself. I guess it all depends on who you get though. The salon itself has been open since December, it's nicely built out, modern, clean and fresh. Daytime TV is playing if you're a quiet customer. There were two stylists working, I got Jen. Very nice lady, enjoyed the chat and the hair-wash. I do wish she'd asked before putting spray oil in my hair afterwards. It just makes it go dead and limp and heavy on the ends. That's pretty much what happened. I did warn her. I got a nice first time visitor discount of 20%, and everyone was pleasant. But by the time I got back to the office I was pretty irritated with the outcome. Took some blowdry heat and hairspray in the bathroom to get it decent. So yeah. It was OK.... I have been going to Bombshell Dry Bar on and off and for the most part I have had a great experience and the owner she is always amazing, however, my last experience there was so horrible I won't be going back. There is one hairdresser there I just went to that seemed to get an attitude when she could not upsell me on services in that one visit. I had her do a relaxer on my hair for the first time and she insisted on cutting and putting all these other treatments in that would require an additional $45 each service. She also kept insisting that because I did not cut my hair on this visit, if she tried to style my hair the way I desired with the flat iron it would not come out the way I wanted. I know this is not true because I have done it many times and other stylist there have done a phenomenal job doing that as well. The whole rest of the time she literally fried my hair and burned me every other time and I could feel the energy shift just because I declined her pushing for the other services in that visit. At the end of it she still up charged me for some "hair mask" applied that I did not consent to her placing in my hair. I have been getting relaxers for years and even expressed to her my concerns due to another hair dresser years ago damaging my hair and frying it but she did not care and proceeded to fry my hair. I have coarse 4C type hair and I really only go here to get a blow dry when my hair is too much to handle but this was a horrible experience. I would just say if you ever go to this salon, make sure you ask for Sandy, Cassandra, or Kesline. IF I ever go back here I would ONLY have them work on my hair. This is unfortunate because, as mentioned earlier everyone else, including the owner, has been so wonderful but this young lady may be the reason they lose some customers. read more

I got a blow dry with Marco. I showed him what I wanted, and he gave me nothing. I wanted a bouncy blow out. Usually you leave the clips in longer. He took them out after 5 minutes, so I don't know what he expected to be "bouncy." The first picture is what I wanted. The second picture is what I got. I had a date to get ready for and I called as a last minute walk in. Taren (the girl who answered the phone) was so sweet and told me to come in and she would make it work. I love this place. Every time I have had my hair done there, whether it is "straight up" or "manhattan" curls -- it always comes out amazing. They are very hospitable -- offering you a drink prior to your even sitting down in the chair. The "hair tender" talks to you first about what you're looking for and takes that into account when styling. The prices are very reasonable in comparison to its competitors. Although Jennifer L. is my regular "hair tender" (who is incredible), every other person I have had my hair blown out by there was extremely professional and talented. read more
