Took my teenager daughter over there for eye brow service this morning. Stephanie was amazing ! Not only she was extremely knowledgeable and professional, she explained step by step what she was doing and how , she also gave my daughter tips and made my daughter 's experience very fun and educational. Made an appointment for Friday at 5pm with Stephanie to have my hair highlighted and cut and my daughters highlights touched up. She had already gotten her hair done but wasn't happy with the placement of the highlights. They were mostly in the front and hardly any in the back. When I arrived I was told Stephanie had left for the day and had deleted our appointments out of the system. I worked with Natalia and the manager to set up an appointment for the following day and was told that Stephanie would have to be the one to do the color correction on my daughter and that she had plenty of time to do so. We've been going there for years and I was confident Natalia would do a great job. So Saturday Natalia starts working on my hair and I'm just watching Stephanie walking around so I ask what about Alissa's hair. The manager has a chat with Stephanie and then I'm informed it would no longer be a color correction, but would now be considered an add on service and shocker Stephanie doesn't have time AGAIN. Fine I don't mind paying. Not really the point. The point is she blew my daughter off twice and the 3 hours we sat there she never once acknowledged our presence or apologized for blowing us off. I'm certain she had time to throw in a couple of extra highlights. I think she refused to do it because she wouldn't be getting paid for it if it was a color correction. Even after previously telling us she has a 7 day policy in that she'll fix whatever the customer isn't happy with. She also lied and said she texted me to let me know she had to leave early on Friday. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I paid $270 for my daughter's hair this is how we're treated. Thank God for Natalia who did an amazing job at helping to fix the situation and did an amazing job with my hair. Lindsey the salon manager was also extremely helpful when I explained the situation. It's just a shame that one stylist can give the whole salon such a bad vibe. Sorry for the rant. I give Natalia and management 5 and a for Stephanie. Sorry for the rant. 5 Stars for Ashley at the Ulta Beauty Hair Salon! I can understand why the reviews on the product side are low but Ashley is great at coloring hair. As the newest asset to this store, she has a baby face and is actually knowledgeable so don't underestimate her! Tell her Lisa on Yelp sent you and make her feel welcomed. She's a keeper! I went to see her after my hair salon called to cancel my appointment because someone called in sick. But I needed a good touch up of highlights on my black hair. This is easier said than done because otherwise my hair will turn orange and copper color, when it should be bright highlights instead. The price was fair and comparable to other good local salons. My hair looked beautiful, felt and smelled a great, sweet & fruity, when I left (not like that horrible chemical/perm smell). She even blowed dried it at no extra cost. And she even knows how to cut women's long hair at the right angle too ($37)! Everyone loves Ulta beauty products; it's like heaven for women. It's an endless supply of products to make us look beautiful but with Ashley on their team, we can now rely on a professional to help us look great. I'll be back for my hair trim. read more

I was in desperate need of getting my cut and color FIXED! Horrible experience with a different stylist. Bad color and even worse cut. Stephanie at Canton Ulta was wonderful. I came into this location looking for help with makeup for a date I was going to have that night. I asked this woman for help, and she was not very helpful. Instead, she was just rude and had attitude the whole time. She showed me her favorite cosmetic line, I think its called pur. I wanted a color match with a foundation and we had tried so many. I think she gave up because my foundation isn't even CLOSE to matching. She then tried to sell me like 5 other freaking products that I didn't even need and felt pressured the whole time. I don't know this woman's name, but she was heavy set, white, short brown hair and was wearing glasses. DO NOT go to her for help. The foundation sucks too. Its too heavy and thick for my skin, and I only applied one pump with a sponge like any normal person was do. I came in the next day to return the product and she was there, saw me, and then tried to RESELL me the same foundation but in powder form. I told her I didn't want to try this brand and I was trying to find someone else for help. She actually rolled her eyes at me, hiding her face in her mask, and told me that no other brand would work for my skin type. I HAVE DRY SKIN so why would you give me a thick cake like foundation AND THEN try to sell me a powder the next day. Unbelievable. Very unhappy with this lady and this whole experience. My wife went in the store and received absolutely no help. Employees more interested in talking to each other than helping customers. Went on to Sephora in the North Point Mall and received outstanding service. Ulta obviously doesn't care to have customers interrupt their day. read more

I never considered using their salon services but had a last min need for a hair trim. I usually go to my hair stylist. This review is for the services provided by Natalia . Getting a cut by an unfamiliar stylist could be a very scary experience, but Natalia knew exactly how to trim. I highly recommend her. Thank you Natalia. read more

My mother and I were visiting this store today and were somewhat dismayed at the lack of professionalism and the outright dismissiveness of customers. One of the reasons we were there was that she was offered a birthday eyebrow waxing. Since she happened to be on vacation during her birthday, she inquired whether it was still valid. Not only were we ignored.....whispered about....but informed that according to someone with some authority informed her that "Benefit" is strict about policies and would not honor it. So we said fine.....but still needed waxing. We were told there was now a wait ...even though we were the first ones there....so our money was spent elsewhere. With the exception of ONE cashier, every single staff member emitted a "better than you" aura. This behavior was so upsetting that we will NO LONGER go to this store. The staff is rude and is unfriendly towards even a loyal customer like my mother. I DO NOT recommend this store read more

I go to this ulta all the time because it's local and it has the worst costumer service of any other location I've been too, any time I need help all the employees would prefer talk to other employees or costumers who already checked out about there kids schools and YouTube scandals or some other nonsense, they NEVER have any of the products stocked on the shelf's or testers out and I always have to get an employee to get what I keep from the back and last time I asked the employees said "ugh" and asked another employee to do it for them who was new and didn't even know where it was I've been going here for years and the service has only gotten worse I downloaded this Yelp just for this review most of the time I leave the store without buying anything because I don't have the time to wait ages for an employees help. read more

Had my hair done there for a wedding. A huge mistake! Very unprofessional and not qualified.

Drove 2 hours shopping and stopped in at Ulta for some perfume. My purchase was $103 and when I got home I realized they hadn't put the $70 perfume in my bag. Everyone makes mistakes so I just called the store expecting them to send it to me or refund my money. I spoke to the manager Krissy who was beyond rude and told me I would have to come back to the store. I explained to her that I didn't have time I'm going on vacation in two weeks and it's a two hour drive. She said well I'm not sending it to you so all you can do is come back. She gave me a number to customer service that she said could help buy that was a lie because they can't to anything when the purchase was in store. The girl at customer service called and confirmed with the store that they hadn't given me the product they charged me for and she sent an email to the district manager after she apologized for not being able to help. She said the district manager should call me back on Monday..... it's Friday still haven't heard anything. So basically Ulta stole $70 of my money and do not care anything about their customers or correcting the mistake they made. Will never return to this store again and management needs some training on customer service. read more
