Nothing on the plates was bad, but.......the fries were the best…read more That sums it up. Even though the food wasn't bad, I still wouldn't recommend El Bunker to a friend. The restaurant's focus is seafood. They also offer a variety of typical Mexican fare, in addition to the seafood. Their menu is available on line at their website. The details... It is not OKIEMEX. And that's fine. Mexican food comes in many varieties. I like to try varieties. This particular variety I don't favor. It just wasn't good enough to get enthusiastic about. Starting with the disappointing salsa. It was a replication of spaghetti sauce served hot (as in temperature) and hot (as in taste) from red chili pepper. Heavy on the oregano. Other than bottled sauce there are no other options. The beverage situation seems to be very limited. No diet Coke. We had the "Milanese de Pollo" and the "Filete de Pescado a la Diabla." Both generous, large portions, served on plates able to accommodate the amount of food. Milanese de Pollo was two thin chicken breasts, coated with a good layer of bread crumbs and deep fried. It was served with very lightly seasoned beans and rice. The beans were different. A hint of cinnamon was noticeable. The tilapia filet was grilled and covered with a decent "Diabla" style sauce. Good burn as it should have, and thankfully, not mouth blistering. The rice; meh. Each meal had a sampling of salad [just for presentation I guess] with a miniscule drip of dressing. The dry salad made no contribution to the enjoyment of the meal. Well then. Nothing on the plates was bad, but.......the fries were the best. This restaurant was previously operated as "Miami Nights." The facility, furnishings and upkeep seem to have deteriorated some, since our visit in early 2020. Service: Friendly and adequate

The menu offers different types of fish/shellfish dishes like ceviche, calamari, and fish tacos alongside more commonly found Mexican fare like burritos, quesadillas, and meat tacos. El Bunker also serves up a mean breakfast/brunch. Highly recommended!

This feels more like a pls e that's good for destination groups than local neighbor bars. Pro tip Ranch: if you're looking to cut calories order a ranch water from Juan. It's cucumber tequila with seltzer water and a lime. Ask him for a tiny splash of their margarita mix for extra flavor while keeping the calories low.

I really wish I remembered the drink I had the first time around, what I do remember is that it was really good. The drink I had recently was the Don Diego de La Ve & it's something I'd get again + would be my usual. Anything tequila, it's automatic (rum is right there at a very close 2nd) when it comes to an alcohol beverage + cocktail. Has addition of ancho reyes, a chile liqueur, that's super subtle in the drink along with lemon lime & agave. My homie looked at my drink & said that's something he should've ordered. *Side Note* I took a look at the menu & I'm convinced I had the Cousin Eddie (when I first visited this place). As I stated that rum is a close 2nd to tequila & the Cousin Eddie has Bumbu (rum) that I already enjoy on its own.
