I've been a longtime fan of Udånder, but sadly, this is not the Udånder from the past. The experience has become much less personal, and the new business model feels more rigid and transactional rather than the relaxing, welcoming environment it once was. Some of the small, thoughtful touches that made the spa special--like being offered hot tea--are gone. Using the locker rooms to store your belongings and freshen up before you leave is no longer an option either. Instead, you're given a basket and required to awkwardly carry all of your personal belongings with you throughout the visit. One of the biggest disappointments was how they handled our group's experience. While some of us were receiving massages and facials, they had booked a private steam and sauna appointment at the same time. Because of this, one member of our party was demanded to leave the spa in her robe and told she could either wait in the public waiting area or leave the building entirely. They claimed they had nowhere for her to relax while waiting for her next service. I find this completely inappropriate for a spa setting. A guest should never be put in a position where they have to leave in a robe and slippers or redress entirely because of poor scheduling. We had scheduled extra time at the end of our day for steam and sauna, specifically so we could access the locker rooms, yet the way the scheduling was handled made it feel like we were being rushed in and out with no opportunity to truly relax. Had we known, we would have happily scheduled additional time in between services to ensure our entire party could enjoy the spa together without being pushed out. Udånder did acknowledge this was an oversight on their part, but it was a disappointing experience nonetheless. On a positive note, the aesthetician, was outstanding--a true expert in her craft, and I highly recommend her (I wish I could remember her name) . However, if you visit, just know that the value of the overall experience isn't what it used to be. Expect to feel rushed, with no real place to transition in between services. Sadly, the thoughtful, relaxing atmosphere that once made Udånder so special just isn't there for me anymore. read more

My experience is based off my recent visit to receive a facial during covid protocol. I am new to OKC and I was looking for a spa/wellness center to give myself a bit of self care. Gratefully, I found Udander. I booked a facial with Kristy at the downtown location. It was absolutely incredible. The process of booking and arrival was seamless and Kristy's quality care was AMAZING. I love the fact that they carry the Indie Lee product line here- I am a huge fan of this line. My face was literally glowing when I left! No exaggeration - see photos below. Currently the spa is only open for facials and massages, but as soon as they open the lounge I will be back to take advantage of their highly reviewed soaking baths/steam room. I would describe my overall experience as odd. Starting with a scheduling-cancelation policy upset. I booked a 1 hour massage, 1 hour sauna (with foot soak), and 1 hour facial package. The spa itself is minimal in design but calming. The massage was good, and i feel she accommodated my physical concerns. I didn't like the sauna - wet steam or dry, it was too hot, and it seemed like a waste of time, I wouldn't purchase it again. There was condensation dripping from the duct work onto the concrete floors in the private spa area. I had to move to not get dripped on. I had to ask about the foot soak that was part of the sauna. It was ok, not great. It's just a big copper bowl of hot water with dried herbs. I was left standing in rooms until I had to go search for someone. This happened multiple times. I didn't understand the process. There was a long wait time between the sauna and facial. The facial with Chloe was magical, and I will recommend her. Overall, I feel the experience is too expensive total for 3 hours, $318. read more

WOW. This place is amazing, I would recommend it to a friend in a heart beat! It was an easy walk away from where I live in Downtown OKC, the building was easy to find too! (Which is always a struggle for me it seems.) I walked in and was greeted promptly, the receptionist was so kind and took care of everything quickly. I sat down for maybe 1 minute before my masseuse Shawna was ready. The 60 minute massage was to die for, she listened to my preferences and had such a chill vibe. What a relaxing place to walk in to. I came here with two of my girl friends on a Friday afternoon. This place is the perfect place to come during brunch/lunch time because you can order from either Kitchen 324 or Nourished, which is right next door and they will bring the food to you after it's ordered and ready. We started off our spa day by ordering smoothies from Nourished (Golden Milk Smoothies) and changed in the locker rooms. You get your own locker, key, white robes, and the most comfortable pair of shower slippers you will ever try. We only had time for a steam/sauna session since it was a work day for us, but it was still a tranquil and relaxing experience. The layout of the rooms are all bright and white. We alternated between the sauna and the steam room, in between drinking the cucumber water that was at the counter where the sauna and steam rooms were located. There are also lounge chairs which you can lay down on before/in between/after sauna and steam sessions. After an hour and a half, we were thoroughly relaxed! Parking: You can park at the meters on the streets outside and if you end up staying longer and need to pay the meter, the front desk will do it for you! Highly recommend this place to relax and wind down. I have heard great things about the massages, facials, and foot soaks..which I still need to try out! read more

I had such a wonderful afternoon at @Udander - I can't wait for all of you to try it and get hooked. I had a facial and brow shaping with Yvonne and it was nothing short of amazing. My skin looks better than it has in months, maybe years, and my brows are absolutely the best they have ever looked. Plus, she was super awesome - made me feel good about myself inside and out, a special gift. I'm sure the other people are wonderful too, but she was a great fit for me. So: you want to know about the steam and sauna, yes? Well let me tell you, I feel like this place is a game changer. The dry sauna was so relaxing, like hot yoga without the yoga. The wet sauna was not to be believed, it was so hot and steamy you almost can't see your hand in front of your face. I definitely felt like some toxins left my body. I also feel like that may be a level I need to work up to. I also want to put some of your fears to rest. And by fears, I mean all of the things I was concerned about. When you arrive, they check you in, give you a tour, and explain how things work. They give you a locker with a key, and the locker has two big, soft bath towels and a nice big robe. I took a shower before heading to the dry sauna. I moved from the dry sauna to the hot sauna, pausing for a moment to take a cold shower between the two. I was really thankful for the cold shower. Relaxing, purifying, restorative... I'm sure there are more awesome words to say here, but trust me, it was off the chain. After about 45 minutes between sauna and steam, I showered again and got ready for my facial. When I left, I was so blissed out I forgot where I had parked. Pro Tip: they tell you to arrive 10 minutes early. Do it! You don't want to miss a minute of your time in the sauna and steam! Pro Pro Tip: I'm considering getting an unlimited package. $120 a month gets you unlimited steam and sauna and your choice of a massage or a facial. Since a single facial/massage + steam and sauna is $110, it's hard to pass up the unlimited offer. read more

Total disclosure: udånder is one of my design clients, so I've worked on their branding and website. Other than that, I did not receive any gift certificates or got any other special treatment. (Disclosure over) My friend Claire and I came in to get foot soaks during lunch to catch up after the holidays. Debbie let me know that the foot soak is usually an add on to doing steam and sauna, but since they are still fairly new, they were cool with us just doing the foot soak to test out if it is something they should offer solo. So for only $15, we lounged with blankets and aromatherapy foot soaks in our preference of essential oils and add ins (I got blackberry and fennel... I think!). The soaks are done in copper bowls with the add ins floating around your feet. It really felt relaxing. Right now they offer tea and water as you sit, but they're hoping to get some pastries from Nourished soon. The 20 minutes of soaking went entirely too quickly. Claire and I also got a tour of the facility - it's a small space located just across the street from Kitchen. Just note that because of city laws, they have to do men's hours and women's hours separately. Just check their website for this. Udånder offers standard spa items (steam, sauna, shower, massage, facial) but I like that they also offer soaking baths (your own bath with essential oils and aromatherapy) and foot soaks. It's a really cool little modern space that faces the street - though, no worries - you are completely shielded. If you have time, highly recommend doing a steam, sauna and foot soak at udånder, then getting some delicious soup next door at Nourished. You'll feel like a new person. read more

Udander is such a beautiful calm haven in the middle of the city. The husband booked the Restore package for me for Mother's Day and I left feeling like a new woman. The spa attendant showed me to the locker room so I could lock up my things and get into the big comfy robe and slippers. Then it was time for a one hour massage with Jessica. The room was dark, the bed was warm with the most soothing of essential oils diffusing and spa music playing. It was fantastic. Then it was time for 20 minutes in the deep soaking tub full of herbs and oils while sipping the cucumber infused water. Then onto the dry sauna, cold shower, then steam room to detox and de-stress! This was a truly magical experience and I will definitely be returning. Just some extra pieces of advice: I was initially worried about wandering around with strangers in a towel all morning, but it really wasn't a big deal. Just throw the robe over the towel in between treatments and it's all good. I had never been to a true spa like this and had no idea of the tipping customs. I was feeling very zen and not mentally prepared to do the math for separate tips for the spa attendant, massage therapist, etc. Just a heads up on that one if you're a spa newbie like me. @Udander is a very welcome and unique addition to OKC. I really love it and keep looking for reasons to go again! So far I have been twice and both times have been 5 star experiences. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. They are full of information about services. The attendants in the lounge and steam area are also great with attending to your ever needs from water to cold towels to adding more money to your parking meter (!). I have yet to get a facial or massage but have thoroughly enjoyed the steam and sauna experience ($20/1 hour). Their steam room gets super hot and I like that I can still hear the spa music through their glass door. Their lounge area is lovely to just sit and read, nap, or add on one of their services. Last time I added on a Rosemary and Wild Orange foot soak ($15). There was ample rosemary leaves, as well as oat tops, in a big copper tub that was brought to my lounger. Laying down in a plush robe while soaking in a hot food bath? Yes, please! The sweet attendant kept adding hot water for me to keep it toasty. What a treat! I wish they also offered the add-on of a foot or neck massage, but it was wonderful and relaxing just on its own. The shower and locker area is very minimalist, especially compared to a plush spa, but it is perfect for quickly getting ready after steaming. Their rain shower heads are so fun to use and I love the shower products they provide. Oh, and my goodness, those spa robes. They are so soft, plush, and BIG! For us hippy girls that is a welcome change for how spa robes normally fit. So if you haven't been yet, go give them a try. This place is pure heaven. Following the concept of Swedish spas, you can experience a wide array of treatments from facials, foot soaks, massages, bath soaks, and du and steam sauna. I had a 39 minute facial followed by a luxurious hour in the saunas. Ending with my bah soak with the most heavenly scents on earth, I left the spa with a relaxation high. Massage heaven! My husband and I were referred to Udånder by a friend and he ended up buying me a gift card two years ago after the birth of our daughter. Well #momlife I hadn't used it, but FINALLY made an appointment for my birthday! I am beyond impressed with this spa. I had a phenomenal experience from the moment I booked my appointment. Their COVID protocols (questionnaire, masks, temp check, occupancy limit) made me feel safe in a time of uncertainty. I enjoyed a 1 hour sauna/steam room followed by a 1 hour massage with Holly. This is the BEST massage that I have ever had!...and I've been lucky to have experienced some amazing spas all over the world. I came back here again to try their tubs and decided to come on a thursday where it was ladies hours, getting a discount on 60 minutes of the sauna or steam room. These were wonderful! I had a bath with lavendar and chamomile. It smelled wonderful and the water was perfect. Given that I have psoriasis, I am always looking for new types of therapies that can help me besides medicines. This did help calm down the itching a lot. This was another wonderful service that was provided by this spa. My suggestion is to add dead sea salts to their baths. It's a great help to people with my condition. I would certainly make it a point to come here more often if they had the salts. read more

Wow! What an incredible place. I can't believe it's taken me so long to try it out. I booked a little "treat yo'self" session last weekend complete with a massage & steam/sauna session. I was so impressed with the quality of the sauna/steam room AND how professional & talented my masseuse was. I took a shower at home before I arrived & didn't bother doing my hair/makeup as I was going to get wet again anyway. Upon my arrival, I was kindly greeted & taken to the shower/changing area. They have lockers you can use to store you stuff while you're relaxing as well as hair dryers for when you're done. They also give you a robe/towels to use during your experience. I recommend just wearing a towel if you're going in & out of the sauna/steam room. The robe gets cumbersome after awhile if you try to wear it in there. This place is a "bathing suit optional" spa, so I was a little afraid I would seem out of place just wearing a towel while everyone else was a la' nude, but everyone else seemed to be wearing a towel as well that day. They have gender-specific hours for the sauna/steam room, which is really nice. The Aspen-Cedar sauna they have is a wet sauna, so you can add water to the rocks to make it a little hotter. I've really never seen a sauna as spacious as this one! After you spend some time in the sauna, I highly recommend going into the steamrooom afterwards & getting yourself really hot, and then hopping in the shower that they have right outside the room that only runs super cold water. It seriously feels so good to go from being really hot, to really, really cold. I've actually read some studies that drastically changing your body temperature like this improves cell-regeneration over time. After my 1 hour steam/sauna session was over, I was taken to my massage room where Derek McDonald gave me the best massage I've ever had in my entire life. He was so professional & very talented. I felt like I had a spiritual awakening when I was done. I cannot wait to return for another relaxation session. I enjoyed my experience today(10-4) until I got the bill and saw that the 20 minute soaking tub that was advertised on their website for $40, and I was charged $55 for it. When I asked about that, response was that there had been a price Increase as of 10-1. I informed her that as of 10-4 the website had the price at $40 and no mention of a price increase on 10-1. I feel strongly that if your business advertises a certain price for a service( whether it's a misprint or not) the business should owner the price that is on their website! read more

My first time at Udånder today- couldn't have gone better. I was relaxed the moment I walked in. I've never been to a spa, everyone was very kind and helpful! No worries about figuring stuff out- it's pretty self explanatory once you're here. I had a 60 minute Facial with Yvonne, and let me tell you, that woman can have my first born child. I have never experienced anything like that; and I have had several facials. I'm not kidding you, I left my body. I had no thoughts. I reached nirvana. Side effect: I am glowing and totally zen. Udander is a nice spa and the massages have been pleasant but for Oklahoma City, it is much too expensive. The nicest spas in the OKC area do not charge $95 for one hour. If you were able to enjoy the amenities, it might be worth it...but you have to pay an additional $15 for the steam room and sauna and such. I've had as good if not better massages and experiences at other spas around the metro. I am willing to pay extra for a nice spa but not this much. I can get nearly two massages for the price of one at Udander. That's just too high. Otherwise, I would come here frequently. Sorry. :( read more

This is truly a hidden gem in OKC. If you're looking for a space to wind down, practice self care, and take a breath then you must go to Udånder. The space is gorgeous and relaxing, the services are amazing, the staff is so helpful, and every experience I've had has been amazing. The one hour steam and sauna is so reasonable at only $20 (they also offer monthly memberships) and is the perfect self care for a great price. I highly recommend the Udånder Retreat and it's worth every penny. I love going by myself and taking a book or magazine to just unwind with. So I'm not even done with treatment yet but I couldn't help to make sure I wrote a review about this spa. I absolutely love it so far and I plan on coming back. I selected a package that cost $195 which included an hour massage, about an hour of sauna and steam room time, foot soak with your choice of tea and a one hour facial. Everything has been done but the facial because that's next. I am currently getting the foot soak done and enjoying the tea. The ladies that work here are great and so far the experience has been the best I have ever had. It says a lot for me to say that because I have been to many spas in different parts of the USA. I was gifted with a gift card last year for Christmas and it has just been sitting in my wallet patiently waiting for me to use it. Well the time finally came. I signed up for an hour massage with Adria and found myself ready to be pampered this Monday morning. Katie (co-owner) greeted me at the front desk and got me set up. They provide a robe, rubber slippers, towel and locker. I didn't have time today for any add-ons like a steam shower or foot soak, but I still felt like I got the full experience. I changed into my robe then was set up with Adria for my massage. Before I went into the treatment room they had me sit in the cozy waiting space where essential oil water was provided and soothing music played. The massage was fantastic. I did an hour cause if you are going to get a massage don't sell yourself short with 30 minutes. I wasn't planning on showering after but with my skin and hair being a little oily from the massage I figured I might as well since they provide most everything. They have shampoo, conditioner, and soap. After, there are blowdryers, deodorant and hairspray. Bring your own lotion, brush, styling tools if you plan to shower. The staff was all lovely and not at all fussy like you can sometimes find at spas. You know those spa people I'm talking about who walk around with their nose in the air. Udander has specific men and women treatment hours. I went during women hours which I would suggest. It just makes everything about the experience that much more comfortable. The only downside today is that I think I just got addicted and now I need to go find a second job to help provide for my Udander obsession... read more

Ahhh I love this place. I love it. I've made a few trips, but wanted to wait until I had a massage to write a review. My first visit was the week after the OKC Memorial Marathon for a foot soak. When I got there, they asked if I'd run that weekend and I found out they were offering foot soaks for $5, which was a great bonus! I did the April special, which was meant to soothe sore feet. I soaked for about 30 minutes and it made for a very relaxing lunch break. During Downtown OKC's Downtown Employee Appreciation Week, udander also offered free steam and saunas to downtown employees, so I took advantage of that. I had never been in a steam room before this and it was AMAZING. I started out in the sauna per suggestion from an employee, and switched between the sauna and steam room but spent more time in the steam room. I love the cold shower between the two saunas. It's a great, quick cool-down in between the hot sauna and steam room. Finally, a couple weeks after my poor legs running 13.1 miles, I booked an hour massage and hour of steam and sauna beforehand. Steam and sauna was great once again, and the massage was truly one of the best I've had. I also added on a DIY hydrating facial mask that I used between my steam and sauna time and the massage. At first, I didn't feel like it had done much, but leaving after my massage, my face felt so smooth. udander truly offers a relaxing spa scene that I haven't experienced in OKC. Besides the wonderful massage and sauna offerings, the atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing. I work within walking distance, so I will be taking advantage of the relaxing steam and sauna options after stressful days, and probably splurge for a massage once in a while. My family and I have been going here for almost two years. Staff has always been professional and friendly. We return mostly for the saunas, body massages, and the amazing detailed facials. Both dry and wet sauna rooms run properly. Locker room, shower room, every room is clean. If It's your first time, they will give you a tour after you sign in. You get towels , robe, slipper, & locker. They have separate times for males and females so you can't go in as a couple. We have our husbands go first...then when we head out there when they come home. haha... It would be nice if they had special couple times, but I think that is a city code thing. They get booked quickly so reserve early! Make sure you come early so you don't have to search for a parking meter and waste time away from your appointment. I've been to spas that weren't relaxing. This place is quiet, bright, and calm. It's a perfect spa to relax or gift to someone. read more

Treated myself to an afternoon on my day off at Udander after reading the great reviews from other Yelpers. I have never been to a spa before - I've had a massage once several years ago at a salon training school, that's it. So this was a whole new experience for me! Used the online booking system (very easy to use) to book a steam/sauna hour session (p.s. you get a little discount if you have a Keep it Local card) and an hour long massage. After you book, you'll get a confirmation email with helpful information regarding where exactly they are located, parking, what to expect, etc. Once I arrived, I was given a tour of the locker/shower/restroom area and spa by one of the friendly girls working. You get a spa robe, a towel, and a key to a locker to put your things in. There are showers available, but I didn't use one. After I changed out of my clothes and into the robe, the same girl greeted me with a cup of cucumber water and explained the steam/sauna process they recommend - start in the steam room for 10-15 minutes, take a quick cold water shower (right in between the rooms), move to the sauna room for 10-15 minutes, cool down out in the lounge area for a bit/drink some water, then repeat. I went through the routine 2 times. I wore just the towel in the steam room which was good. In the sauna I started with just the towel but as soon as I leaned against the wall it was way too hot on my back. So I put the robe on, rolled up the sleeves, and pulled it up higher on my legs. Maybe I'm just not used to the heat? I don't know, but the robe worked out for me. I tried my best to relax and practice some mindfulness while I was in the steam and sauna rooms. But honestly, I feel much more relaxed/mindful at the end of a yoga class in savasana. This is just my personal preference - the rooms themselves were clean and seem to be kept up well - I just don't know if I'd do it again. I didn't love the experience as much as other Yelpers have. However, my massage was amazing and succeeded in relaxing me! As I said before, I've only had one massage before and it doesn't even compare to this one. Derek did an amazing job working every part of the body, scalp to feet. Wow! Felt so good to have all the tension worked out. Beginner confession: I didn't entirely know what I was supposed to do at the beginning - he told me to get comfortable, I could hang my robe on the door, and he'd be back in shortly. I got underneath the top cover on the massage table, but there's actually 2...a top cover and a sheet...you are supposed to get underneath both of them. So he started the massage then realized I was only under one cover and had to step back out for me to get under the other, oops! *Face palm* Also I had my hair up in a bun during my steam/sauna session and hadn't taken it down, so he had to stop and take my hair down to do his work on my scalp. I've had a couple of facials with Yvonne and she is fabulous! She personalized it to my skincare needs, and my skin was glowing afterwards. Definitely the best facial I've ever had. My friend and I went in for a steam and sauna treatment. It was a first for both of us. The staff was welcoming and knowledge, and both the steam and sauna were amazing. However, the spa doesn't seem to be very inclusive of diverse body types. You are given a robe and two different sized towels, which will not fit every body. It's unfortunate because I think women of all shapes would love this place, but if they don't feel comfortable in what is provided than the experience is dampened, as was the case for me today. read more

Very nice place right in downtown Okc. Super clean and very courteous staff. Had a 90 min massage and 1hr sauna, total relaxation achieved. The exterior is very unassuming, but once you enter its done very right. read more
