Never bringing my dogs here again Unfortunately, I didn't see the other Pomeranian review from 3 months ago to show me that this place has no idea what to do with long haired dogs. All they do here is shave dogs apparently. I have two pomskys and they are basically mini huskies with very full coats. Brought my dogs here for a trim and now all of their hair is gone. When I came to pick them up the guy said he'd never actually seen a pomsky before and then he brought out my shaved pups. I don't think this is an excuse for shaving their entire coat. I literally felt sick to my stomach when I saw them. And it's not even a consistent cut. It's uneven and some long hairs still around their ears. I had seen other pics of fluffy dogs on here before and they looked cute so I thought they knew what they were doing but they absolutely do not. Gone to others and they always leave her too long. I brought my dog, Pepper, to get a bath and brush. Most places charge 60-80 bucks for a 30 pound dog. At that price point, I'd rather do it myself. We paid 35 bucks, which was totally worth it. They threw in a trim around the eyes for free. If they keep it at this price point, I'll definitely keep going. We went to lunch and came back with a clean fluffy dog. The owners are a cute husband/wife couple (I assume) and they are very friendly. They gave an eta of 30 minutes. We had lunch plans so we asked if we could pick her up in 2 hours. They called us back at the hour mark. We were still at lunch and they happily held onto her. Apparently, they also took some pictures of her too! Highly recommended! read more

I can't even.. I don't think this person had any idea what to do with a golden retriever? If they'd just been upfront about that, I wouldn't be leaving this review. We even gave him direction / told him we don't even really "cut" her hair so much as trim it up so that it's not scraggly. He must have cut off 9+ inches around her chest/neck, where she has (had) beautiful showdog hair. He shaped it short like you would on a curly hair dog like a poodle or something. The result on a wavy long-hair dog is a lumpy mess. The tail is also half gone, which is also something you just shouldn't do. It will take almost a year to grow her tail back. We've taken her to numerous groomers over the years but never had a problem like this. This might be a nice place to take your bichon frise or poodle. Don't take your golden retriever. Leaving 2 stars instead of 1 just because they were nice. read more

I'd like to give this ZERO STAR! I choose this place for my puppy's grooming just because it's always have available time in the next two days. The other groomers always full in one or two months. If you came here once you'll know why they were not busy. My puppy had really bad experience here. This is my second time bringing my Shiloh to Daniel and just wanted everyone to know how pleased I am with Daniel's work and the way he runs his business. Most importantly, I can tell my dog is very happy before and after his grooming. I love the fact that Daniel is very punctual. I made an appointment last week and my Shiloh was in and out with in 2 and half hours which tells me that he was not in a cage for hours and hours. My dog has skin allergy problems and used to be scared of humans because he was a neglected shelter dog. We have been going to UC Barkley for a while, and they are very gentle and caring with our dog (he has always been scared at other groomers/doggy daycares). If you are looking for a groomer for your Pomeranian please look at my before and after photos. I was charged $113 my dogs hair cut. Although I agreed to the charge before hand, I did not know it would turn out the way it did. If I would have known, I would not have gone there in the first place. I am not posting this review to be malicious, but only for fellow Pomeranian owners, as it is so difficult to find a groomer who understands how to groom Pomeranians properly. I don't want other Pomeranian owners to go through what I did. Honestly, when picking my dog up from his appointment my heart just sank, because he chopped off his hair so unevenly that he doesn't even look like a Pomeranian anymore. UC Barkley has become our dog's favorite place to go get cuts and sleepovers! My family recently rescued him and he was described as "being scared of people" because of his trauma. However, he had no problem with the owners and groomers at this place! Whenever we put him in daycare or boarding school, the owners will give us frequent updates about his behaviors (nothing negative reported!) and videos. I was really disappointed that this business set their price on the daily basis! What I mean by that is the first time that we took our maltipoo there less than 3 wks ago, they charge $35 for the basic grooming. We just paid $50 for the same service today! Their excuse was since our puppy gained 2 lbs in weight in less than 2 wks(). Additionally, they want to charge $8 extra for shampooing and the employee/wife said next time they will charge for that. 1st of all, there won't be a next time. I'm very disappointed in this business because I had high hopes. Our last groomer wasn't the best so we were trying to find somewhere better, and this one had high reviews with lots of poodles/ doodles in their reviews, so I assumed it would be fine. It was not fine. I took my goldendoodle there recently for a summer cut, hoping for a short body and a teddy bear style face. I was given a rat in return. The owner seemed nice in the beginning, before I dropped my pup off, which is why I feel bad leaving this place such a poor review. But I don't know how any groomer could send a dog home looking like this. He doesn't look at all like what I asked for, his face wasn't blended and looked absolutely terrible. It was a waste of $90 and now I'm going to learn to do dog hair myself because this was just SO upsetting. I had to shave his muzzle and ears down like the rest of him so that he wouldn't look disgusting. I'm absolutely devastated. Do NOT take your dog here !!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Hi, I see you replied to me. While he did have some matting on top of his head and neck from his collar, I do not think it was severe as you mentioned and his body wasn't matted. I brush him multiple times a day, as well as line brushing at the skin to ensure I can get out as many mats as possible, but he was overdue for a haircut and it was inevitable with his overgrown length. But I took him to this shop as the past reviews mentioned that you were able to remove bad mats. However, I did ask for him shaved. The length of him afterwards was not my concern, it was the style of his face. You said that he needed to be shaved, which I agreed with because I WANTED him shaved for easier grooming on my part in the future. That's not why I'm mad. If you even looked at the picture I had shown you, you would have known that it was not AT ALL what I requested for his face before. He looked embarrassing until I fixed it myself by shaving him to one all over length on his muzzle and ears. You as a groomer should have communicated that you couldn't do the style I requested because he looked nothing like what I had wanted. Again, the shortness is not an issue to me, because I wanted a summer cut for easier maintenance, it was the style of his face which is nothing close to the pictures I had sent. It was not long on the sides/bottom of his muzzle and ears in a flattering way like I had requested, it stuck straight out and made his face look swollen and ugly. Can you seriously look at this dog and think that he looks okay? How can you send a dog like this home? I am very disappointed in this entire experience. I've attached the picture of what I ASKED FOR so that others looking at the reviews of this place can see how poor of a job this groom was. read more

Tried this place for the first time. I was charged $45 and still gave a $10.00 tip . I had asked for a bath and cut. My dogs hair seemed like it was not even trimmed. Hair still over his eyes and long all over. I did not notice till I got home and was in a hurry. I guess he only got a bath. So going back to my normal place.
