Brought in an iPad with a loose charger port - would not keep a connection with the charging cable. The technician took it from me, plugged in his own cord, wiggled it and said "yep, loose port". That was the extent of the diagnostic portion of my visit. Told me it needed to be soldered, the charge would be $150 and they'd have to send it out. Estimate repair time would be 2 weeks. I could not believe $150 to solder and 2 freaking weeks?! When I questioned this he looked at me like I was a moron. That lost my business and I walked out. Took it to Fix Max - repaired at their store by replacing the port in 1 day for $90. read more

I went to the Midtown location on 7/19 as my phone screen was having flashing green on my screen. I'm very disappointed that I paid $409.00 and a month later my phone is doing the exact same thing it was when I took it in. I was told that since I stuck a screen protector on it, it voided the warranty. If I was told this when I picked my phone up, I wouldn't have put one on it. I was also told that there was a tiny crack in the screen which is causing this green line in the middle of the phone. It was doing that also so it makes me wonder if my phone was fixed correctly the first time. I will not recommend anyone that needs repairs to go here. The resolution of my desktop computer went totally bonkers and I took it in to uBreakiFix on Wright Street. After not hearing anything in a few days, as had been suggested by staff, I called and was promised a follow up call, which didn't come. After a few days I called again and learned from Ryan that there was a new owner and staff. By now I was traveling and wasn't in a huge hurry to get it back. Ryan was an excellent communicator and kept me informed of the trouble shooting he and his staff were doing. In the end, it turned out that Windows 11 was corrupted and the solution was to reinstall Windows. Ryan and staff asked what files were important to me and they backed up my thousands of photos. The computer works great now and after reinstalling my software (that are all Cloud-based subscriptions), the computer works better than ever. And the price? Free of charge because of the time it took to fix. Ryan definitely didn't have to do that, but the goodwill he created is priceless. read more

took my flip in to have the samsung screen protector changed i get my phone back open it and the screen breaks as i open it i clearly didnt break it and they say its not their fault that it was going to break at some point. while i was there there was two others in line that had their phones worked on and had issues after they where trying to get them to fix their mistake should of walked out right then. my phone was doing just fine before big mistake. read more

Took my son's iPhone 8 in to be evaluated as the microphone and charging port were no longer working. He had to use any Bluetooth device with a speaker to talk on his phone. They evaluated it and found that they were both plugged with some type of adhesive debris and all it needed was to be cleaned. Both the charging port and microphone now work great again and the cost was only $30. I would highly recommend uBreakiFix if you have any electronic repair needs. Stopped in to have them look at my kids ipad. Guy was helping someone so a gal took my ipad to check and make sure it was getting power, while plugged in. From what I could tell, hearing the few people in back and what they told me and other customers, is that they only want to work on the easiest items. It appeared they had no knowledge of how to really fix anything at this store. The guy brought my ipad back to me. I could barely understand him while he was telling me everything that it might and might not be. He told me to take it to a few other places and they could probably do the repairs there. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because no one called me once the repair was completed.
