He was very upfront and honest about his recommendation to discontinue the repair and let Ol' Bess finish out her days in peace. He got it to where the trackpad was temporarily functioning again (it was sticking due to the swelling battery) and even re-adhered the loose glass to my screen (a separate issue) I appreciate his candor as previously I'd been given the run around by the Apple Store. I was charged a very reasonable price considering Jon was able to get Ol' Bess working just enough for me to retrieve some documents off of her. The clerk told me the guy who worked on it had been fired, but that didn't stop him from wanting to charge me a second time for the same problem. To be clear, I brought them my tablet because the display was bad, they fixed it, 6 weeks later the screen was bad again and they wanted to charge me again. If you want to get ripped off, feel free.
