My husband and I visited the uBreakiFix store located on Dallas Highway recently. When I walked into the store I immediately noticed how clean and organized everything was. Josh, the employee that helped us, was with another customer but greeted us and was very polite. When we got up to the counter my husband expressed he thought the problem was with his iPhone's charging port. Josh examined the phone, agreed and took the phone to the back to see what he could do. When he returned to the front with the phone he plugged it up so we could see it was charging efficiently. Now, a couple days later, the iPhone is still preforming and charging much better than it had been. I was impressed with Josh's care, not only with the iPhone, but also with explaining to us the ins and outs. In five years I've had one password compromised.. I took my phone here to have the lightening port replaced and less than 10 hours I received notice that 55 passwords were compromised. I was told I needed to give my passcode for the lightening port to be replaced.. no clue why that is needed. read more

I hate to sound like I am bashing on this company because they are very nice to their customers, but I believe they overcharge and lack experience. I had a cracked screen for my iphone SE which was estimated at a 89.00$ fix. After they had my phone for two days they called and said they couldn't fix it because every time they installed a new screen it would reboot. They stated that it was odd and they had not seen that problem before. I didn't give up hope though. I took it too a place 5 minutes down the road called Soho Hero which is a mail store who has an electronics repair man working out of the back. Edwin fixed it in 10 minutes for 60 dollars! He sold me a new case and screen protector for a discount. After everything I paid less than I would have for just the screen at U break I fix. read more

I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I could, brought my phone in to get my screen fixed and a day later the screen isn't working and they say they can't do anything about it because the test they ran before I left the store said it was fine. I visited the uBreakifix store on Dallas Hwy with a laptop that had a crack and what I assumed was a need for a new charger. On my work order they charged me $49.99 for a tempered glass screen protector and $29.99 for a new charger. Because they were very respectful and provided decent customer service I decided to do half down around $43.50. I came by the store a couple days later to check on my computer. Jeremiah, the employee that patiently and kindly worked me came back with my computer to show the screen protector he had put on it. I then realize that is was plastic. Frustrated, I let it slide because he did a fantastic job with putting it on my screen. Id just discuss the price later. At this point he needed to run out and another employee came to help. Again he was polite and respectful. However, another issue came about. The new charger did not charge my laptop. So we realized that I needed a new battery. He said it would cost around $179.99 I went ahead and had them order it. Unfortunately, I was not squared away with the $43.50 I spent on the wrong screen protector and the charger I we weren't sure I needed. He said he'd reduce the cost of the screen protector from $49.99 to $29.99 on the new work order but couldn't give me my money back as I would've have had to do another half down payment on the new work order to compensate. So rather than giving me my money back and then immediately paying $29.99 for the plastic screen protector that was wrongly placed on my screen, I now have to wait on a battery for my laptop to get my money back for an incorrect work order. To top it off... this employee decided to mess with the connection that detects the battery and now it doesn't read the battery. Told me "This was as far as it connects." AND had the audacity to include the cost of the new charger knowing we just ordered a new battery. Now it was the SECOND time I left with an incorrect work order. At this point I will just cut my losses (-$14) and get my computer fixed elsewhere. These repairs are costly and all I expected was to pay what I asked for and not for the mistakes that you all made. read more

Previous review: Took my son's ps4 here to have it repaired for an hdmi issue, which they have to send a NYC company to actually do. When I relieved the device back, within 2 weeks the device would no longer take an update and all the data (except 2 games and some progress) was all gone. IMO this place is not a place I would use again or trust with my devices. So I am out $300+ device and even more in saved progress. Updated review: Jeff (owner) contacted me and made everything right by fixing the device by reinstalling the OS. All is good now. My son had taking his apple phone in, due to colorful lines being in the phone. He paid $160+ on 08/24/20 to get it repaired. 1 week later, the lines are starting to show again, he returned 09/07/20. They said it was not their fault, and he would have the option to pay half in order to be fixed again. Considering he's in college, that's pretty much a lot of his savings. I told him to go somewhere else, I would pay for it. This place is a rip off to me. Maybe have some type of Warranty on your repairs. read more

I called up at 9:15am and they told me I could bring my phone in right away. They said it should take about 2 hours for the repair. I got there at 11am, they wrote my repair ticket up right away. We just moved into the area when one of our iPhones broke. It couldn't be charged via the port. We had to use a charging pad. I was going to travel 30 minutes to go back to my old neighborhood to the establishment we usually use and always thought was reasonably priced. The old place wanted $45 just to look at it and $90 to fix it. I decided to try UBreakiFix which is less than 1 mile from our home to compare pricing. So glad I did! The uBreakifix tech who answered the phone said the charging port was probably just dirty and to fix it would be a fraction of what the other guys wanted. He also said he would check it out for free. He could have charged us a lot of money. Instead he just cleaned it. We waited literally less than 3 minutes for him to confirm his diagnosis and clean out the port. And yay! the phone was taking a charge again. I was even considering buying a new phone. With our insurance the copay would have been $150. How lucky for us to find uBreakiFix. They will get all our business in the future. The sweetest thing is that he had so much experience that he was pretty confident when he diagnosed the problem over the phone. This was my family's second visit into the shop, and the team has been more than helpful! Our first visit was to fix my broken iPhone 6s screen that I had smashed in the car door. Needless to say I was quite overwhelmed, but in a matter of an hour or so, my phone was as good as new. On our second visit, my mother had a small bead stuck in her headphone jack. I was referred to uBreakiFix by the warranty fulfillment center for my screen glass protection product. Actually, they referred many shops and I chose this one due to proximity. I can't imagine a better experience. I was attended to right away and in short order, my phone was fixed. I sought price quotes from several other shops using the Yelp feature. Every one that responded was higher by $75 or more. By using uBreakiFix, the $100 that was covered by the warranty was taken off the top (previously set up with fulfillment center). uBreakiFix is Samsung certified. It is a nice shop with interesting videos playing on two screens. The rest of the store is high tech. Lots of screensavers, covers, cases, otter boxes, etc hanging on one wall. While I was there, I purchased another glass protection system for an additional $60. If anything happens to my new screen, I can have it replaced again for only $19 -- the same job I paid $148 for today. read more

I am disgusted at the lack of customer service at this place. My dad's phone was left out in the rain and he took it to be examined and hopefully fixed because the screen went out. They told him they would get back to him in a day or so and let him know the diagnosis. Those days come and go and my dad ended up calling them to find out what was going on with the phone. They claimed they were still looking at it. Another week goes by and my dad calls again and they say that they have tried everything and they are going to look at replacing the motherboard. They would let him know an update soon. Days pass again and my dad called to find out what the status of the repair was and he was put on hold while the gentleman went to "check on his phone" for 11 minutes and then someone picked up and said "can I help you?" At this point it was getting close to three weeks without a phone, without a true diagnosis, and without any communication. At this last call my dad was told that the motherboard was fried and he was going to have to just buy a new phone. A couple of important points are as follows: -My dad is self-employed and his customers reach him on this mobile phone. 3 weeks without it is unacceptable . -He did not expect it to take close to three weeks so he will be paying for a month's cellular bill with only a week of actually using the phone. I went and picked up the phone for him from UBreakiFix. They told me that there was rust and corrosion that they cleaned out, replaced screws, power button, screen and none of that solved the problem and with a motherboard issue, you might as well buy a new phone. Upon leaving I immediately plugged it into the charger in my car and the phone powered on and text messages came through. The touch screen didn't work and the screen wasn't clear but I made a few test calls to the phone from my own cell phone and it was evident that the phone was not destroyed as they had suggested. I heard about a place in Acworth called PC & Cell M.D. I dropped it off there at 7 PM last night and got a call at 9:30 AM today that the phone was fixed and ready to be picked up. Just the screen needed to be replaced. I'm so thankful I found this place! At the end of the day, at UBreakiFix the customer service was nonexistent and I also feel like we were lied to. Clearly there was no work done on the phone and almost 3 weeks passed with the phone probably just sitting on the shelf. Stay away from this place and go to PC & Cell M.D. read more

Amazing customer service. I brought my MacBook Pro in after spilling water on it and they were able to get it running by just cleaning it out. I received a call immediately and when I came to pick it up I was informed that there was no charge because they didn't have to perform the full water damage service, which is only $69.99. All in all, the service was better than I could have asked for and turned an overly stressful situation into the best case scenario! read more

Paid $180 for a replacement glass on my IPhone 7 Plus. They tell you that they use OEM parts. Come to find out that the new glass is not OEM and it does not work. Had it replaced again under warranty. Still does not work. They tell me that they will put the broken Apple screen back on so I can take it to apple to fix. What they do not tell you is that they do not have the correct tools or authorized to repair IPhone and when they open IPhone up it voids the Apple warranty. Now Apple will not work on my device and I need to purchase a new device to get one that works. I have a new name for this company "uBreakibreakworse". They refunded my money and asked me to leave.
