There is an easy online booking service and they also offer a discount on last minute appointments (usually scheduling the day before). She always adjusts treatments based on what my skin needs at the time, and her product recommendations are thoughtful and effective when I ask for them, but I never feel pressured to buy anything. I've had a handful of facials at nearby Skin Spirit, Gwyn does a better job at a better price (and no $1000 hard sales pitch on products like you consistently get at Skin Spirit). Apparently a 30 min is $50. The gal agreed to a 60 min massage. About 10-15 minutes in the gal left on a phone call and because someone came in the shop. She said, "Im sorry I only have time now for you for 30 minutes" I said that was ok and then she billed me $50 for 30 minutes and I tipped $10. Came back last night had called ahead for a 60 minute massage. The gal did a very nice massage. It was a full hour. I went to pay and the gal asked me how much I wanted to tip since I was using my credit card. I said $15. She billed me for $115 tip and thanked me very much. I said no I said $15 and I wrote it down. Then the other gal came to the desk and said, "oh no, you need to tip more." She then said, "why you no like, not a good massage?" I said yes it was a good massage. Is $15 on a $60 massage not a good tip? She said, "no, you tip atleast $20". I said that was fine so she entered $20. I have a hunch my credit card is also going to show an invoice for a $115 tip which I will have to figure out later but if they want a designated tip then they need to advertise that because frankly tipping $15 on a $60 service is great! Its just so rude to do what they did on both occasions. Makes me feel like they are dishonest and running a shady business here :(

He well knows the body in ways that other massage therapists have not tended to in the extents that he did, and he massaged areas I've never had worked on before, which very much needed it. I arranged a deep tissue longer session and I am very glad that I did. My body felt quite broken from a week, driving up the West Coast and a week sleeping on the floor. My soul also felt out of body as it was too painful to be within it. When I left, I felt wholly embodied and healthy again. I had an amazing night sleep and woke up refreshed entirely. The environment was welcoming and soothing with herbal teas and healthy plants and nice calming music. My experience with Mariana was excellent. She was kind, professional, attentive and provided exactly what I had asked for: deep tissue work. I have been to many massages and often it is simply someone putting oil on me and rubbing it around on my skin. My mother is a professional masseuse and I've yet to experience someone up to par with her work. This was. Mariana worked on the areas that were tight and blocking my body and energy without me even going into detail as she sensed and found the knots by feeling. I highly recommend her for deep tissue work and an excellent energy- she was friendly, comforting and the session was both peaceful and fun. It was so impactful that I booked another two hours with her before I left Seattle. She was also accommodating in regard to my visiting schedule and came in early to make it work. I also experienced cupping for the first time. It's intense! Very effective! And amazing as while the cups pinpoint one area the practitioner can also be working on a different part of your body. I first visited a doctor (not at MindBody) who x-rayed my ribcage (no breaks), and told me to use anti-inflammatories, blah, blah, blah. Still in pain, I went to MindBody and met with John Chevigny. He listened to what had happened, assessed what was going on, and then helped fix my injury. After my first appointment, I was doing so much better, like a 75% improvement over how I felt when I walked in. I saw him two more times to address the injury. Will definitely go back, think they do a great job, super comfortable practice. Highly recommend!

I don't come often, only when my body is not feeling right or just feels misaligned. He can fix me in 1 or 2 sessions. I probably come 1-2x/year at most. When massage therapy doesn't help, I resort to chiro therapy.
