I've had helpful and professional people answer questions when I had them, and then some not so helpful. Yesterday was our final move out, and Dawn was in the office. She was extremely kind and helpful. She explained the check out procedure and emailed the final document to me, and offered to print a copy for me as well. After dealing with another terrible storage facility in town, we decided to give Securlock a…read morechance. The manager was very helpful, and the facilities were clean and attractive. We signed on the spot. Needing the use of their truck, we set a day/time to pick it up. We hired someone to do the actual moving, and he showed up at the appointed time. No one was there and the office remained locked up...most all day. We lost between 3-4 hours while we came up with plan B, which involved renting a U-Haul truck. The assistant manager called today to ask if we still needed the truck. Uh, no. She offered no reason why she was not on duty when she should have been. Nor did she offer to reimburse the price of the truck we had to rent because of their mistake. As I said earlier, their facilities are top notch, and ease of use is excellent. However, going forward, we will remain wary of their customer service promises. As a new customer, we are really not impressed.

That's a bit of a bummer, but not totally unexpected or crazy or anything. This is a nice, clean, and safe facility (as far as I can tell!). Storage units always have a bit of a creepy factor no matter where they're located, especially if your unit is completely inside a building like mine. I will admit I feel a bit nervous every time I meander through the long identical hallways looking for my unit, and I feel like it'd be pretty easy to get lost in there... But you can always grab a map at the front desk or ask the staff to remind you which path to take! The staff has always been extremely helpful and readily available to answer questions, so you can count on that. Paying online is ultra easy and literally only takes two clicks once all of your payment information is entered. Just don't be late on your payment or they immediately tag on a $10 late fee. I do think this storage unit is a tad expensive, but again, nothing too out of the ordinary!

Clean, air-conditioned unit [ check ] Is there anything else you need in a storage unit? Nope. MORE EXPLANATION: After moving, we realized we had too much stuff and needed a 10x5 storage unit. We did a quick deposit and claim online. It took minutes! Then, an email was sent to us with all the info needed to access the unit. Happy with how everything was panning out, we rolled over. However, when we got there, the unit was a bit of a surprise. It was a 10x5 unit but with a small door (not the most ideal for moving items in and out). I noticed there was other units available with bigger doors, so I thought... "Let's just ask if we can move units!" My husband was weary of this, but I advised him... "It's worth a shot! The worst they can do is say no. Let's go find someone!" When we got to the front desk, Jacob was there ready to help! He said, "That's not a problem! Let's fix this." In minutes, we were touring new units, transferring our lease and starting to move everything in. This would not have been possible without Jacob's professionalism, diligence and kindness.
