Having a structure to protect your hard earned wheels is great! This garage does the trick quite well AND smack dab in the middle of the campus (kind of) to keep you from wearing out your shoe soles. It is super great for short term parking for a class or two and not great for all day due to cost. It is easy to get in and fast to get out. There is an elevator, a couple of stairways and is easy to pay. There is an app for even easier and faster paying! It is pretty well lit and is airy. This trip was for a PhD dissertation defense and only needed a spot nearby for a tad over an hour. It exceeded expectations! No grackle painting my car!

Both stairwells are currently "out of service", leaving one small (frightening) elevator for the students to navigate from floor to floor. The wait for the elevator is horrendous, leaving many students to travel the path of the cars to their parking spots (a huge safety issue). Something needs to be done about the stairwells before somebody is seriously injured!

Inside Del Torro is By the Horns brewery that has a bar inside. Lastly, there is taqueria La Ventana that serves tacos, bowls, burritos, and margaritas. There is ample seating throughout this venue where you can sit either inside the restaurants or in The Backyard with many benches and tables. During the winter months, they provide heaters to keep you warm. They also have a small gazebo to sit at as well. Ther have cornhole to play as well and other board games such as Jenga. The Backyard team and staff does a great job keeping the grounds nice and clean to provide great service to the guest while keeping the value and prices fair and average. The downsides are this: The turns can be pretty narrow. It prints a small paper receipt (smaller than a credit card) which makes it even easier to lose. It does have a pretty decent sized validation space though. The first 4 floors seem to be reserved primarily. When you park and get out you, then hop on the stairs or elevator, you are inside of a another building that does not really have a clear exit. The positives: It is essentially 8 stories. The top is open, with ample parking. Once inside, if you go to the basement there is a convenience store called Sherry's. It's $5 minimum on credit card purchases, but they have fountain drinks, protein bars and all the goodies. The floors and elevators are easily marked. The prices weren't awful. 2 hours was $3. The most you pay (no overnight parking) is $12. If you choose lost ticket it is the max. The top has a great view. Park on 8, grab a soda on the way back to the car, and just watch the city go by.

Only once did the email say that he found a piece of someone's rv in the lot for people to contact him if they want him to personally check theirs. That made me feel soooo much better because that was a bad storm. Their larger parking spots are quite pricy but worth it in customer service and lake convenience.
