I got my mail two times out of five since I moved to this house. It seems like my postman changes every month.

On December 2024, I rented P.O box at the Trolley Square station. The box was closed without my…read moreconsent. After I complained, it was reopened. I subsequently paid for its renewal, demonstrating my intent to maintain the service, Systemic Failure Begins: Despite my payment, the post office again closed my box and changed the lock. Astonishingly, they continued to place mail into a locked box to which I was denied access. Complete Loss of Mail: For months, each visit to the post office to inquire about my mail was met with the same response from clerks: "We don't know where your mail is." During this time, I complained to the Postmaster for Wilmington, and Postal Service, to no avail, if anything it made the situation worse. Two months ago, (September 2025), I spoke with the new supervisor who acknowledged the problem. He personally delivered a large accumulation of my mail a few days later. This confirmed that my mail was being held within the facility, inaccessible to me. Since that one-time delivery, I have received no mail whatsoever. In fact, 11/19/25, I received a call from Delmarva Power requesting my new address, I told the young lady that that I'm still at the same address. She then explained that the post office sent my mail back and wrote on the envelope, "return to sender, moved wear about unknown ." This is not a case of intermittent service; it is a complete blackout of my postal delivery. On November 17, 2025 I visited the Rodney Square office. The clerk, who was visibly annoyed, again stated she did not know where my mail was and, when I requested to speak with the supervisor, I was told he was not available. The consequences of their shameful failures are not merely inconvenient; they are catastrophic. * Financial Security: My bank sent a new debit card six weeks ago. It has never been delivered, leaving me without secure access to my funds. * Loss of Vital Benefits: Most devastatingly, the Delaware Department of Labor sent time-sensitive correspondence regarding my unemployment claim. Because the post office held this mail for over three months, the deadline to respond expired. As a direct result, my unemployment benefits have been terminated, and I'm now indebted to the state of Delaware for a portion of the payment received.

I was not going to visit this Post office because of the reviews but I did and the gentleman with…read morethe initial, SB told me if my package was not delivered on the next day I could come back and get my money refunded. Well, the mail was not delivered on time and he refunded my money back with no problem and a smile. So I promise him I would give him a five on this review because he so, Graciously refund my money. Thanks again SB with the pink hair ;).

Complete Lack of Accountability and Oversight This USPS…read morelocation shows a disturbing failure of accountability, transparency, and internal oversight. A letter carrier fraudulently signed for THREE insured packages requiring signature confirmation, then removed those packages from the delivery system and kept them at their private residence for over a month while the recipient was overseas. During this period, USPS treated the packages as lost, forcing the sender, the paying customer, to file insurance claims due to USPS's failure to deliver or account for them. One month later, after claims were filed, the same carrier suddenly delivered the packages. No credible explanation. No documentation. No consequences. USPS Headquarters in Washington, DC is aware. The USPS Postal Inspector is aware. Local management is aware. The paying customer received NOTHING, no explanation, no accountability, no resolution, only the response that "due to privacy, USPS cannot disclose what actions were taken." Let that sink in. How is this acceptable? Forged signatures on insured mail, Packages removed from USPS custody Stored privately for weeks, Financial loss and insurance claims triggered, Zero visible disciplinary action This is not a mistake. This is a systemic breakdown of oversight. The Wilmington USPS facility at 1500 Lancaster Ave urgently requires a full audit of: Signature confirmation procedures Carrier accountability Claims handling Supervisory oversight If this can happen three times to one customer, it can happen to anyone. USPS cannot expect public trust when serious misconduct is quietly swept aside and the only person left in the dark is the customer who paid for the service. Until meaningful accountability exists, this location does not deserve confidence or trust.

I have a home business and print postage for my sold items at home and then take them to this post…read moreoffice. For a time the hours were irregular and service also but lately the staff is friendly and available and always have a bin behind the cafe door for me to dump my boxes. If you have to wait in line for service you may find it tests your patience a bit.

I use to think this post office was inside the Firehouse because it has no other signage. Inside they have three separate stations. One for....well I'm not really sure but you can stand there and someone will come to that desk (for lack of a better word) and assist you. Then there is the regular line where the post office people are and then a third area for passports. I needed to mail something certified. I've never done it before but I knew it required a green slip. I did not see them at the line so I stepped forward and told the lady. She handed it to me and made me go away to fill it out. It wasn't until I was leaving that I noticed all the different post office slips on the other side of the line in which I had stood. So my sole purpose of this review is to let you know that any paperwork that needs to be filled out is at the counter on the opposite side of the very line you are standing in. Confusing review. Yeah I know. Sorry.
