A decent location. Yet it can be really busy. True most USPS locations are. The employees here are polite and helpful. Sometimes the line can cause, Kevin and Karen's to show who they are. That type of drama is best avoided. One advantage USPS has is cost. Occasionally I'll ship items for sale, through EBay or other platforms. This one works for that. They are much less than UPS and Fed Ex. That's why I'm here occasionally. Definitely try mid afternoon if you can here. read more

Services were mostly great at this post office. When I arrived at 2pm on 2/2, the post office rep who eventually helped me with the certified mail that was being held for me was extremely helpful and accommodating. She also assisted with helping me with the change of address under my maiden name. I did the change for my married name weeks ago but realized too late that I needed to do one separately for my old name. My only complaint is with the lady who deals with passports. Before I came to this particular post office to pick up the certified mail that was being held for me, I was told by the nice woman on the phone to go straight to the passport/hold mail line in the office for assistance. When I did that initially upon arrival, this passport lady was being abrupt, brusque, short and very obviously unfriendly without patience when she told me to go to the regular line without any explanations. Talk about rude. I think that person needs a class on what constitutes the proper customer service behavior in a job that deals with the public. Other than that unfriendly encounter, everything else was great at this particular post office. Would highly recommend if you don't have to deal with passports. read more

Coolest little post office in Lorton. It's in an industrial park and right next door to a little breakfast spot. The guy hat I always see working here is really hospitable. I get my stamps here and that's about it. Stop by if you are in the area. read more

The tiniest post office ever with the biggest heart. The gentleman working the counter by himself was so patient, so friendly, and warm. He treated every customer who walked in with positivity and professionalism. I never thought I'd leave a post office with a deep-seated appreciation for humanity. Parking is not an issue. Depending on when you come in, you might have to wait in a line and space is very limited. The gentleman handled everything that I needed at my visit. Great customer service. This place was A+ ... it's already a very stressful time around the Christmas holidays and I actually work right near this post office when I say I was greeted immediately when walking in I mean immediately by a gentlemen named victor and his colleague. Both were professional and very helpful individuals I don't ship all the time so this all around is stressful for me victor made sure to make me feel and know everything was going to be Ok he helped me get my box that was humongous into a smaller box to help save me money and help me to get my presents to my mother states away! He made me leave there knowing my mothers Christmas gifts were in great hands and caring hands! This is where I will be doing my shopping moving forward . Unorganized, pushy, and unfriendly staff! Sometimes sending stuff, choosing which option, and all that stuff could be confusing! And the staff put any effort to help you at all. I don't work at the post office for living, so I don't know which mailing option is better for my package!!! They need to retrain, rehire, and re-explore talent in the market who is more willing and happy to do this job than these "experienced, arrogant, and degrading" individuals that work here. read more

If UPS is the Apple of shipping, this post office is the Apple/UPS hybrid store's bathroom. Don't ever expect to walk in without also walking back out, not only with your package, but yet another new problem you have to address in order to ship it with them. Notoriously bad, in particular, at acknowledging the deals eBay has arranged with the postal service. read more

What a great find! Tucked in amongst the other businesses in this industrial strip mall is a tiny post office - conveniently just up the street from work. It's not one of those uber retail POs. Forgot to get a card for grandma - not going to find one here. Forgot to wrap and box up your gifts for your extended family - no tables for you to sprawl everything out on here. But for those who show up with their act together, this place is great. I came in at lunch time to mail a Christmas box to my brother. And even though the little space was at capacity with 6-7 people waiting in line, I was still in and out in under 15 min. They do have a very limited supply of packing materials if you really are desperate but the options are few and there isn't really any space where you can box something up. I did need to scoop up a roll of tape though as my car seems to have eaten mine. read more

Worst post office ever. Rude and unprofessional. I arrived at 4:35 with about 40-50 packages. Staff complained I brought too many too late and that they were closing soon. Complained about everything. Even though all my packages were prepaid. Really need to fire that person. It's your job to send the packages I paid for, and if you're going to tell me to go somewhere else, when I came during your scheduled time, I think you need to find a different job. read more
