Located in the historic district of Leesburg, this is the downtown station post office. A stately brick building with Doric columns and a simple pediment, in between two arched glass windows. The wrought iron railings, and the white wood and brick parapet rooftop add to the regal structure of this building. Inside are vintage brass post office boxes, are highlighted with baby blue painted walls, outlined with a Williamsburg blue paint trim. Built in 1923, the acting architect was James Wetmore as stated on the concrete cornerstone. Beautifully maintained inside and out, this lovely post office was a delight to behold. There's another Leesburg post office not too far away that is t quite as impressive as this one.
There's rarely a line or wait for the neighborly staff, and there's parking on the side of the building or street parking out front.
