I joined their CSA for the first time this year and I love it so far. We did the half shares, so…read morebi-weekly, which is just right for our tiny family who travel often, and eat out too often. You go to the farm to pick up your CSA goods in a small room. There is always good music playing and it's nice and cool inside. All the veggies (and fruit sometimes) is laid out on tables and there are clear signs as to how much of each item you can take. For instance, you can take two leeks, 3 lbs of carrot, a bag of lettuce, etc. I really like the way they set this up, because if you're not a fan of something, you can skip it and not let it go to waste in your fridge or pantry. They send out emails to go with the week and give you storage information and cooking recipes for the food you are getting that week. It's a lovely touch and I appreciate the information, especially when it's with something I don't normally get on my own. It's a wonderful thing to support local farms and farmers, so I'm thrilled we found Working Hands Farm. I also suggest you follow their Instagram! They have beautiful examples of their weekly hauls and show you what life is like on the farm.

There were a ton of bushes, and they gave us the best tips on where to go in the field to get the best berries. Bring your own bag to bring the berries home in! Also cash only.

Apparently we came a little late in the season because people started to pick the blueberries around the first week of July. There weren't too many people here which was nice and the blueberry trees were mostly full of tiny blueberries or unripe ones. It took us a while to find the big blueberries, but we picked enough big blueberries to fill a small bucket. Next time we want to come here, we'll definitely come during the early blueberry season. The berries were still very sweet though! This farm is not too far out of Portland, which is so convenient since we don't have to drive too far to get here. It was really fun coming to this farm and we'll come back again next year! Near the farmhouse, they were also selling some other vegetables and we bought 2 fresh zucchinis for $1. I believe this farm also lets you pick other veggies too, but you might need to call ahead and see what's available to harvest.

The alpacas were so cute, and the person explaining the alpacas to us was so kind in answering all of our questions. So when we arrived, I ran the door bell on the gift shop door (per instructions on the door) and a very nice lady came out from the office. I asked her if it was possible to feed some alpacas and she said yes. I bought two little sandwich size bags of small pellets for $5 each. All of us (6 adults) was able to feed the very friendly alpacas. They do not bite as they only have bottom teeth. They eat the pellets right from your hand. There were also a few baby alpacas you can feed. Just as another reviewer wrote - they are affiliated with a non-profit organizer and work with Peru to save the alpacas. Alpacas are adorable animals and I'm so glad we visited this farm. There is a little gift shop where you can buy all kinds of alpaca products but we ran out of time - we had so much fun feeding the alpacas. I highly recommend this as a pit stop and you'll learn all about them while feeding them.

We have tasted at wineries all across California and Oregon (relaxed all the way to fancy), and we tend to prefer places like Oak Knoll. It just feels like everyone is welcome, we get to pick which wines we want to taste, and there's a bottle of something for every preference. $15 for 6 2-ish oz pours and there were more than 12 wines available, so my husband and I each made our picks with only 1 overlap and got to try most of the offerings. We stock all kinds of wine in the house: red, white, bold, dry, sweet, earthy, blackberry, and more. We bought a bottle of the white blend and twilight blush because they were delightful and flavors we felt were missing from our cabinet. I see us stopping by a couple of times a year for an easy afternoon date to get some fresh air, sip a variety of wines, talk and decompress, and still have enough money to take home a bottle or two without breaking the bank. Staff was lovely; warm and friendly without being pretentious or pushy. Thank you!

Tasing fee is waived with $50/per tasting in purchase of their products. They do hold various events throughout the year, so check their calendar. Friendly staff (and a dog). The tasting takes place in an old barn with concrete floors. We were given a list of available wines to try and you check off the six you want. Most are from them, but a few from other vineyards. No real explanation of the wines and some basic prepackaged items if you want a snack. The wines come on a nice board with the names of what you picked. Start from the left and go right. Now, I'm not a big wine drinker, but my opinion is their whites are the best. They also have some very sweet wines, almost too sweet for me. Overall, it's ok.
