I reserved a rental truck for 3 hours online via "Contactless" pick-up, meaning that the customer does not have to go into the store and avoid contact with others during the pandemic. It might have went more smoothly if they had their work-if broadcast outside of their building so the customer can complete the online check-in process (scan the location barcode, inspect the vehicle, photograph your driver's license and take a selfie for comparison, etc) but in my case with an X-RAY iPhone and Verizon network, app suddenly glitched and told me I would have to start over. Instead of being faster, I was there over an hour! Worse, location employees knew nothing about the "contactless" process and could not advise me. I was on the phone with Customer Service trying to complete the process. Held me up, plus 2 movers, and the person who drove 2.5 hours to meet me and give me access to the property - waiting and hour longer for me to show up with the rental truck. I don't like writing negative reviews, in fact I previously rated this location 4 stars, but there was NO EXCUSE for this disaster. read more

Rented a dolly there earlier this afternoon. The pick up was great, the gal at the desk was very helpful and made it a quick and easy transaction. When I got back just minutes BEFORE closing, the other gal working saw me pull up and rushed over to the door and shut and locked it in my face! Extremely RUDE!!! I just needed help with the app to return my dolly! But she couldn't give me the time of day. If you can't help your customers go find a new line of work!! Completely uncalled for and I just needed 30 seconds of her time. Will NOT be returning to this U-Haul location!!! I will be contacting someone in charge tomorrow!! Do better! read more

Rude people. We rented a truck and we're not allowed it for the full 24 hrs. Yet we were charged for it. Horrible do not rent here. The only redeeming factor was the politeness of Rich. The general manager is rude and abrasive she does not pay attention to customers and then charges when she said she wouldn't. read more

We were told we didn't need to reserve a truck and trailer but we decided to anyway and then when we got there they told us they didn't have the truck because we reserved for a different day that I know for a fact we did not reserve for that day. So that was really annoying and then they tell us to go to a different uhaul an hour away to get the truck and trailer so we do but they only have the truck not the trailer like they said they did on the phone. So we grab a the truck and drive another hour back for the trailer. The guy had the audacity to come off annoyed at US anyways we drive a whole state away and bring it back because it's way to expensive to just drop off in another state and they also didn't have any storage space like they advertised either. The only plus side was they refunded us like $50 and the lady when we came back was super nice. read more

I've never been treated so badly. I have successfully rented truck from Uhaul in Pierce County for over thirty years. When I attempted to do the same at this location, my great relationship with this company changed dramatically. As I rolled through the motions in the Uhaul platform, the extremely slow and glitchy website grinded to a halt. All the sudden I couldn't finish my checkout. I made another reservation and attempted to go inside. I was met by a woman, the Manager no less, and figured I was on my way. She lied and said that since I started it online, I'd have to finish it online. I called e-services and they said all was good, to bring my phone and myself back into the location so I could get my truck. The manager had left the building by the time I got back in there and left instructions with all the workers to not rent me any equipment. I have rented at least thirty trucks prior to this. I did not owe and I have never damaged their equipment. I was really confused because of my history with them and my valid license. The manager at this location was rude and surly. She had a look of disdain on her face from the moment I approached the desk. The only thing I can think of that she had a problem with was the color of my blue hair or my brown skin. The Regional Office called me back when i complained to them about her behavior but this story only gets worse. They told me the manager has a right to refuse to rent to me and if she had valid reasoning, I would understand but I literally had all my ducks in a row. The e-service office of uhaul told me to pick a different location and I would be good, so I did. That location is where the story gets even worse. This location was great for the installation of a trailer hitch on my car - very helpful! The hitch held up towing a 5x8 trailer for 1000 miles - so that's a plus :-) read more

The lady on the phone was very helpful and kind.. then when i went in the location the lady at the desk kind of treated me like I am incompetent... I do like the fact that they have a lot of security there and it's very clean but the employees need some customer service training. read more
