    Hedgy the Hedgehog and I both love this place. It's a keeper. I came here with my parents and Hedgy on the 8th of November 2019 to ask about how renting a U-Haul works when driving from one state to another (I was moving from California back to Washington State). The workers were very friendly and encouraging in helping us figure out the details of the rental. They also let us open up the back of the different truck sizes we were thinking about and take a look around. We were debating between the 10 foot and 15 foot truck and getting to see them in person and get in them and walk around made a huge difference in deciding which to go with (we ended up going with the 15 foot truck). This allowed us to book our rental in advance and gave us peace of mind that we had chosen the right size and wouldn't realize halfway through packing that the truck was too small. We were also able to return the truck here at U-Haul Storage of North Seattle earlier than our set return as moving went faster than anticipated. All around great experience.

    If I could give negative stars I would. MY RESERVATION DISAPPEARED BUT CHARGES ARE STILL PENDING ON MY CREDIT CARD. DON'T USE THIS LOCATION! FIND A FRIEND WITH A TRUCK OR USE A DIFFERENT BUSINESS BUT DON'T GO HERE. I went in person to the store on Tuesday to make a reservation for Saturday hoping that this would make it a smooth transaction and move, no hiccups like the one I'm about to describe. My driver arrived Saturday and despite the lot being jam-packed full of trucks, was told he had to pick one up at another location. (I was told on Tuesday if a truck was not available I would get a call on Friday to make arrangements for pickup at another location. That never happened.) He was then sent to two different locations, The first of which told him he was in the wrong place, the second place couldn't even find the reservation. (NOTE: now my confirmed reservation # does not exist--see photo 1 and there is still a pending charge on my credit card) By now over 2 hours has been spent driving around to get the runaround. My driver calls to inform me of the problem, so I call the location myself to ask WTF? The guy knew exactly what I was talking about, but couldn't help me cuz he was 'with a customer'. I was likey quite rude and refused to be put on hold by stating that I was a customer BEFORE his current one & I wanted to know why I didn't get a call the day prior regarding supposed truck unavailability & why out of all the damn trucks on their lot not one was reserved & ready in my name despite having made & confirmed my reservation 5 days earlier!!???!???. He said he didn't know & the manager wasn't in today, and there was nothing that they could do at the moment so he'd have to put me on hold and someone might be able to help me in a few minutes. I was put on hold, waited, 5 minutes....I knew no one was going to pick my call back up.... I called back and was hung up on, despite being told on the third call that no one hung up on me. During the third call I asked to leave A message for manager Nick, apparently he's the one on the outgoing message. And I kid you not, I was asked how I wanted to leave a message. So the smart-ass in me replied "typically you write down my name and number on a piece of paper and you give it to your manager when he comes in"....and that I didn't appreciate being hung up on when I called the second time, to which I was told it didn't happen.... because of the way the phone is....whatever. I was then told Manager Nick was not in today, I said I already knew that, That's why I want to leave a message. Then I was offered the Manager's number which I pointed out is the store number I was already speaking with, & was again informed that Nick wasn't in today. then I was told I could leave a voice message. At this point I am more than irritated, mumbled something under my breath and hung up knowing I wasn't going to get anywhere, and something tells me I never will.

    Worst customer service ever! Go some place else at all cost! Never answer phones, switched to voice mail multiple times, eventually gave up.

    We called Northwest propane on a Monday and told them we were out of propane, they told us they…read morewould be here by Thursday. When we called on Thursday to ask when they would be here, they told us they would not be here till next Tuesday. I called them personally and asked why this was going on. When the person on the phone could not help me, I asked to speak with a manager and they hung up on my face. We live in the mountains. We have been out of propane and have not had heat for four days and now they are telling us we will not have propane for eight days. These people do not care or have any compassion for their customers. Update: I talked to someone from Northwest Propain . The person I talked to on the phone did not want to help us at all.  The person I talked to on the phone cared more about her being right, than some people who live on a mountain and have not had heat for 4 days. The  person I talked to on the phone should have called us on Monday and told us your company would be unable to help us for  another 9 days, instead of wait for us to call on the day we were told we would get propane. The person I talked to on the phone had zero compassion, or understanding. We called another company and explained our situation and they are bringing us propane first thing in the morning. You know why? Because they care. We have cancelled our account with you and will no longer be doing buisness with you because you were willing to let us freeze to death on the mountain because you have no compassion or understanding for your costumers, who by the way are human beings.

    I won't bore you with a drawn-out story. Suffice to say our camper stove didn't work and thus I…read morelearned we had a broken propane valve. The other propane companies that I was referred to (left unnamed) either didn't have the personnel available to fix the problem, didn't have the part, and/or there was a lack of competency that I didn't feel comfortable with. But when I called Vanderyacht Propane the fellow I spoke with at their main Lynden location knew exactly what I was talking about. I made the drive and he replaced the broken valve (which wasn't exactly easy to access) inside of 15 minutes. Not only that, but he filled my propane tank and tested the stove before I left to make sure that everything worked 100% for our travels. Totally worth the drive and worth every cent I paid for the job (which was going rate and very affordable). If I have any problems ever again with RV propane or any other propane need, I'm going to save myself time and frustration and go to Vanderyacht Propane. They have our locations: Lynden, Burlington, San Juan Island, Orcas Island. PS: Their office is very nice and they have a stupid fast propane-powered zero steer mower that's to die for.

But just last week they were great. We did the self reserve truck twice and it was easy. At one point we had no moving blankets in the truck and the staff were on top of it to get us some. Didn't have a hassle and no waiting around. They did a good job this time around.

    It was my first time renting out a truck at U-Haul. I honestly didn't expect much since the reviews…read morewere low but it was the only moving rental company that was conveniently located. I made a online reservation for a 26" truck. It was fairly straightforward to book but the reservation times were limited and inaccurate. It also didn't make sense that they charge 3x more to drop off the truck at a different U-Haul location. It's not cheap either. They charge like $1.19/mile so it can quickly add up. I went in on a Saturday which they said is typically busy but I didn't have to wait long to get checked in. Everything was ready. Nothing exceptional about the service though. Here comes all the complaints... First, when we got to our truck, the back loading door was slightly open and apparently a homeless person was sleeping there. There were trash and cigarette butts in there. The cleanliness of the space was very questionable. I didn't feel comfortable putting my items inside but didn't have no choice. When we turned on the truck, the check fuel cap light went on. The tank came less than 1/4 full. During the entire time during the drive, the car's steering wheel was out of alignment and kept on shifting. When I called the customer service about it, they just said it shouldn't be a problem and that I can call the u-haul emergency service if the truck decides to break down. That didn't give me any reassurance at all as the driving didn't feel safe. Luckily nothing ended up happening. Overall, had a poor experience with this U-Haul location.
