Its inside a car wash and don't really have a large fleet so we weren't sure about how it all worked. There was a wait dur to the manager running both the car wash and u-haul. I called customer support to reserve the truck and date/time. +1-800-468-4285 I went inside and did my purchase. For a 26, they charged $40 along with $1.50 per mile. Make sure you input 1/4 gas or you'll get charged with more fees. There's an option of $14 if you want to be insured with auto insurance with a $150 deductible if you crash or someone crashes to you. Also, to return the keys during after hours, there's a drop off spot in the front but it's $20 fee. You can get it waive by going on Uhaul Share online. Sign in with your account, you can call customer support for additional help. Paid $77 for using 17 miles another $20 for gas. I just wish they have reverse cameras for better precautions. Would be nice if they did that upgrade. But overall good experience. Hope this helps! This is my first experience. read more

This office is the biggest example of unprofessionalism I have ever encountered in my entire life. Jesus, the general manager, consistently calls me, or has one of his idiot employees call me every month to "let me know" my rent is "late." My rent goes out as a scheduled payment on the first of each and every month and isn't even DUE until the 14th of each month! It is now at $99.95 a month, up by over $25.00 from my original payment, and I have a stack of threatened "lien notices" a mile high, the last time requiring a reversal of a $50 extra charge they actually charged. In addition to the nonsensical $20 charges they always try to tack on when it is ALWAYS their fault. Three months ago I LITERALLY AND IN ENGLISH was told, "We found the check later on lost in a rarely used desk drawer." Avoid these people like the plague. read more

Overall, we had the worst moving experience with u-haul from San Diego, from the movers we got through them canceling the day of the move, their being a hole in the roof of the truck and our things getting soaked by the rain, to being sent to the wrong location in Riverside, and all. I used u-haul for moving my PODs from Sacramento to Chino. The service was so easy to use both in Sacramento and here in Southern California. PODs serve as excellent devices for storage and I can report no damage caused during the transportation (yay!). I wanted to bring awareness to everyone who wants to buy moving supplies here. I got "Glass Pack Kit" and "Dish Saver Kit". Each kit comes with one box, as the sign and the package say so. The U-Haul website also says Kit comes with a box. I grabbed two boxes with the two kits, and at the checkout the clerk charged me for the boxes. I sensed something is incorrect so after I put the stuff away in my car, I went back in and asked the clerk again, "Does the box not come with the kit?". He said no. So......as soon as I got home, I called U-Haul 800 number and inquired the product. I was correct- the kit includes a box, but I wasn't offered the refund because the person on the phone cannot do anything about it. Well, an $8 lesson - please be aware that if you want to buy some supplies from this store, you may be charged more for something that should be included in the price. read more

I regularly use Uhaul and the past 3 times have been beyond horrible even though I request a location close to home they always send me out of my way. This time I made sure to call the customer care line in order to setup my reservation and avoid any hiccups during my move since I would be on a short schedule and needed to be in Arizona ASAP. Well they screwed up and sent me from South Fontana to this location and failed to inform me at the time of my reservation. I needed the truck and car hauler so no biggie I showed up. Upon arrival it seemed like chaos, customers waiting for equipment yelling questions at employees running by or driving a golf cart who didn't even give them the time of day to stop and properly answer their questions and the desk was unmanned leaving angry customers waiting in like struggling to get some help. It was my second time using the car hauler to transport my personal vehicle, the first was a few years ago so I needed a refresher on how to properly tie and chain everything down. I received the Uhaul Truck and Car Hauler and immediately asked the employee if he would help spot me while I loaded my car on the hauler and then show me how to use the tie downs he replied I will as soon as I go help anyone else that needs me and he immediately left. I did not see him for about another 15 to 20 minutes when he finally came to help. Unfortunately my car has a front splitter that needed to be removed in order for the car to clear the ramp, I was hoping they had a few tools they might be able to lend me but unfortunately they didn't have any available. I asked an associate if he knew of a hardware or automotive tool store nearby so that I could go and purchase a tool set he stated that he didn't know of any, a quick google maps search showed a pep boys located directly behind the business. 5/13/2021 5:30 PM, I called the U-Haul on Tippecanoe and Baseline to see if they were able to refill a BBQ propane tank. After going through the phone maze I was connected to the U-Haul call center. The person on the phone said that their web site says they have it but wasn't positive and to call back the store maybe they will answer. The call back to the store, after more phone maze I ended up talking to a guy who said he was U-Haul Corporate and the store at Baseline and Tippecanoe had 864 gallons. I drove to that store and the employee said they did not have propane because their tank had been damaged a year ago and was removed. He suggested trying the downtown store at Rialto & D St. I drove to that store and arrived at 6:30. The propane tank outside the store said to push the button and wait for service. I pushed the button and waited 5 minutes. A customer who just came out of the store paying for his propane said they will not answer the button and to go inside for service. I went inside and was waited on. The employee said he would not pump for me because they close in 20 minutes. I questioned the logic since they don't close for another 20 minutes but said he would not help me. I left and called the number I had called earlier and ended up with the U-Haul call center, told them the story and wanted to file a complaint. The lady was resistant but said she would connect me to a supervisor. After waiting on hold for 65 minutes I hung up. In the future I will look for other options before using U-Haul. read more

Rented a few UHaul UBoxes for our move back to CA. When we were ready to receive the boxes, Tamara was the one who drove the flat bed truck and worked the forklift. She was amazing! I don't normally see women working forklifts, so I watched enthralled while she did her thing. She showed up on time and made the heavy traffic in and out of my complex the least obstructive as possible as she worked around them. She was quick, and adept. Rented from here twice, and they were pretty friendly both times. The first time, I booked the truck online and got a little discount there, but I ordered a mattress cover and when I got there, he said that he didn't have that on file, so I showed him the receipt I had received via email, and he refunded me the money. Later on that day, I received a call from one of the employees there saying that he had my cover.. A little late for that! At least I wasn't charged twice. Yesterday was the second time I rented a truck from them, and I think I got a pretty good deal. I wanted to pay cash, but they require a huge deposit, and I just didn't have enough, so I went ahead and paid by card. They didn't have the furniture dolly though, so that was a bummer. I was told twice that they had some for sale, but not for rent. No thanks, I don't need it forever now.. Other than that one incident and not having the dolly, I have had good experiences here. Fantastic truck delivery of cross country UBoxes. I recently moved from Chicago to the Coachella Valley and moved my belongings in two UBoxes. I had issues with the UHaul Chicago office and the central UHaul customer service but I will say that Cassandra in the San Bernadino location was the UHaul star! After living without my stuff for 2 weeks I was very frustrated when UHaul first told me they could deliver the boxes on Friday morning and then changed it to "sometime on Saturday". In addition they were going to make me wait another week for them to come pick up the empty boxes. Cassandra came to the rescue. Even though she doesn't normally deliver out here on Fridays she knew I was in a jam. Since her delivery schedule was light she called me Thursday night and asked, "What can we do to help?". She worked her magic and delivered my boxes on Friday morning as I expected. And since she was coming back this way the next day she came back and picked them up on Saturday. I hope UHaul management reads this. They need to make sure they appreciate Cassandra as much as I do. She's a star in an otherwise frustrating experience. read more

This U haul dealer was great, but the U haul mover help is disgraceful They scheduled a moving company, reliable movers. The collected close to $400.00. They scheduled my appointment for 9:00 am at my request, I picked up the truck at 7:00 am at 9:15 fifteen minutes late Traveon of reliable movers texted me and said I'm in Alhambra ,Ca. picking up my help. I notified him he was at least 1 1/2 hrs away. At 10:40 he texted would I like to reschedule for tomorrow I said I rented a truck he was supposed to load at 7:00 am and rescheduling was not possible. I tried to contact u hail they stated the mover is a third party and they have no control. I said then you should not offer UNRELIABLE HELP. I then tried to contact movers help they do not have a phone you can chat on email. They to have no control of the people they hire, but I can reschedule. This was a terrible experience. The truck and dealership was fine the rest Sucked. Do not use the mover help. Nobody wants to make this better. Thank you read more

this is horrible service I requested a moving truck and I only needed to move a one bedroom so I requested a 10 foot truck. the problem is that no one told me that 10 foot trucks don't have ramps and I could not move. so I drove the truck back and they treated me like I was the one who is suppose to know that which truck comes with a ramp and those that don't . so need to say I needed to move so I had to sit and wait for a truck and then I was charged the extra cost of the truck. the employees told me that most people can load a refrigerator without a ramp and I stated I am not most people. horrible horrible horrible service OK so here is the latest after finally the manager got me a truck I did my move and when I returned to unload my items in the storage the employee by the name of Taylor was awesome. Have rented from this U-haul quite a few times now. Every time has been a no problem hitch and go. This last time I went on July 2nd to pick up my scheduled trailer with a vehicle that I have not hauled before. Mind you this was a very busy day for them, must have been 6 people behind me. I was greeted by Kassandra, very friendly and knowledgeable. While I was hooking up the trailer we ran into some problems with the right blinker not blinking, while everything else worked just fine. She quickly went into repair mode and looked at all my fuses and tried fixing them to get me on the road. Long story short it was a simple problem with my connection it was fixed and I took off. Point of the review is that I was surprised as to how much time and effort she put into getting me on the road safely!
