None of the local RV dealers/service shops (some big name ones) had any in stock and didn't seem interested in talking to me. I had occasionally done business with A1, sometimes small purchases, sometimes donating old parts, and decided to drive the 106 miles (each way) to see if they could help me. Both owners spent at least a half hour with me showing me used stoves, looking up and printing info on new stoves, and educating me on the pros and cons of RV stoves. I'm kind of sorry to say that when I got home and took an educated look at my old stove, I decided to keep it. It has some important features I would have to give up and I wouldn't have known that if not for A1 RV. Maybe they didn't make that sale but they did make a loyal customer.

Napa in Yelm told me to see this guy in Rainier. He can make anything from brake lines, hydraulic lines, high pressure washer hoses, kitchen sink hoses you name it. If It has to do with a line or hose or hydraulics this guy can do it. He did it in less than 10 min while I waited. So after putting in the line I broke another and noticed a bunch of lines that were bad. I took them all out and tomorrow I'll go down there and have him remake the entire brake line system for the truck. I highly recommend him. *** edit*** so I went back and had him make me the rest of the lines that I needed. THAT HOSE GUY Hooked me up for sure! He repaired my long line running from the front of the truck to the back of the truck and blindly made me the two lines that come off off the rubber hose to go to each wheel cylinder. Everything fit right. Everything worked great. No leaks! No issues! Amazing amazing amazing and to boot he messaged me today and asked me how everything went and if it all fit right. On the way to the shop, we also had a tire blowout that caused additional damages and insurance getting involved. After having our trailer for nearly three weeks, we received a call saying it was ready. We were told the tires had been replaced, the wheel bearings repacked, the inspection completed, and the skylight repaired. However, before we picked it up, we received another call admitting the skylight had not actually been repaired. When we arrived, we also discovered the A/C had not been serviced and the window caulking had not been done either. My biggest frustration isn't just that the requested work wasn't completed--it's the lack of communication and being told repairs were finished when they were not. After waiting three weeks I expected honest communication and for the work we requested to be completed or, at the very least, to be informed if it couldn't be. We had to call many times for updates and to ensure our trailer would be usable by the 4th of July weekend. After picking up the trailer on June 26th we had requested a manager to call us and were told he would call on the 27th. Today is July 1st and still no call to date. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling frustrated, disappointed, and unable to trust the information I was given. I hope Campers Choice improves its communication and follow-through so other customers don't have a similar experience.

After picking it up we noticed the caps had not been replaced on 2 of the wheels and the internal cover on these was askew. They said we could just push them back on and they sent replacement caps for the outside. I did one short local trip, then on our first road trip about 500 miles after Camper's Choice worked on my rig, I was alerted to a wheel issue by another driver. I pulled over at an off ramp and saw smoke coming from the wheel. I slowly got off the freeway and while backing into the first available safe spot, the wheel came off. Fortunately no one was injured and a mobile mechanic was able to replace the axel. I had him inspect the remaining wheels and one of the those also had to be replaced. He said from what he could tell the work had not been done properly. I contacted them but had no response. I followed up after my trips and learned the company had changed ownership along with liability for the incompetent workmanship. I have been in touch with the previous owners who have not provided a response. I would not trust them with any service work and put the safety of my family in jeopardy again.

I have this small old Stihl 015 L that my dad used for limbing & cutting small trees that I wanted a case for & extra chain. I did a preliminary search on the Internet for a case & chain, and thought I'd just go into a Stihl dealer to see what they have, besides figuring they would know the proper chain to fit on it. Found these guys from a search on the Internet so took the saw in, and as I walked thru their door I felt like I stepped back into time, back when customer service was not just lip service. This was the first time ever I stepped into this store but the guy at the counter greeted me like a regular with a pleasant greeting & opened the door behind him to the saw shop saying they would take care of me. One of the staff came right up to me & asked me to set my chainsaw on the counter covered with cardboard to absorb any oil & dirt and asked what I needed. I didn't think anyone would have a case for such an old saw, but they had a bunch of used cases & thought they would find one and they did, and offered it for $20, where eBay had a seller wanting $69 plus $50 shipping for a fairly scuffed & well used case. We started talking about chains and the young person helping me warned me the older saws have fairly expensive chains but gave a price for 2 then said he might have some used ones they sharpen & resell. He found one but had to shorten it, separated one of the links before he realized the chain was a 3rd party chain & he wasn't sure if they had a master link to reconnect everything, but did a little scrounging & a little elbow grease & oomph to make it work & we had an affordable spare chain for my saw. Also needed a wrench and I walked away with exactly what I went there for, probably would not have happened with one of the big box stores. Shopping lately has been quite a downer and here is a store like many other industrial stores in Lewis & Grays Harbor county still providing great local service, just ask some of the locals & they will tell you where to shop. People complain of how expensive things are, including name brands with a great reputation like Stihl, but I'll tell you, treat your expensive equipment good & develop a relationship with a good repair shop like Service Saw, and you'll get lots of miles & dependability on these products.
