Stayed here this past Labor Day weekend with my parents for two nights. I found a pretty good deal online for $80 per night (with AAA discount). The deal covered parking and wireless internet. The room was very clean and comfortable for both nights. Definitely will come here again (one star off because the room seems quite small to me compared to other Marriott rooms I had been to). Overall, great experience! read more

Tysons Corner Marriott - Room with double beds - Hotels Near Me - Tysons Corner, Virginia

Pros: Staff is super nice and accommodating. Hotel is very clean. Food is fabulous! Cons: Room was super expensive and the parking situation was ridiculous. Also, for the price of the rooms, the parking should be free. read more

Great location near metro. Hotel was clean and staff was very nice. Standard king was average size. Bed more comfortable than others. More structured pillows needed and toilet paper was worst I've ever experienced. Hotel lobby had a scent that was overwhelmingly strong, thankfully not in the rooms. There is no free continental breakfast and food is very pricey. Suggest pay the couple extra dollars to upgrade from continental to full buffet. Food was good on buffet but wouldn't pay those prices again. Not sure we would return. read more

The staff is friendly, but the room are dirty. I found black marks on the sheets of one bed,and dirt spots in the tub.

Clean, modern (lobby and room), quiet. Courteous front desk staff.

As a previous traveling consultant who stays at a new hotel almost every weekend, this is the first hotel in a loooooongggg time that doesn't have free wifi. So disappointed. The front desk also has a very arrogant attitude read more

The building exterior was nice, but interior was older. The lobby is grand. However, the room looks like a regular motel. This is not worth 221 night. The bathroom needs to be refurbished. The Sunday buffet was good. The staff is extremely helpful. Overall, this is great for an overnight. I wouldnt stay here for more than a day. read more

They held over $600 for "incidentals". I understand hotels home funds for incidentals, and I was told at check in that since I prepaid online I would have $50 per night - a total of $100 held for my stay. NOT TRUE! Checking my bank account, they held $601.76. After calling the front desk, they did admit this was a mistake on their part. But also refused to make that adjustment right away and said that I would be refunded once I checked out. This is an awful lot to have on hold for the next week. I don't see why they couldn't just release that hold immediately. Since I know it hasn't been processed, and then hold the appropriate $100. Also, when entering my room, the coffee maker was in the bathroom sink, there was ONE bath towel, and the shower won't stay on for more than 10-15 seconds without having to keep pulling up the tab in the faucet. After this stressful stay... NEVER AGAIN! read more

My WORSE stay at a hotel. I booked a king size bed with a city view & they gave me a room on the 5th floor with 2 double beds. And the bad thing is they didnt bother at all contacting me ahead of time to tell me any of the changes. And they kept telling me its non refundable even though I didnt stay in the room. I LOVE this hotel! The location is perfect for my work and meetings. My room is QUIET!! Lots of business professionals here - so nice not to deal with the family noise/ children (God love me) but. So nice to be in a hotel that caters to ME , my "Home away from home" is nice! Brigitte checked me in for my weekly stay and was so SWEET and quickly ensured I had a feather free room on the concierge level. She made check-in painless and absolutely easy. I've been here for a few weeks now. I want to recognize Bill at the front desk - he combined a few of my reservations last week and that made my stay much more smooth; no rescanning my room key every few days! Yay! Aynur has also been a big help at the front desk! When I learned of my additional weekend stay over, she helped combine this past weeks reservations with next week and rekeyed my key for me as well. Will make for an easy checkout the end of the week! your desk help has been excellent and I appreciate their keeping me in the same room. I've only unpacked one time! Dora in housekeeping is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! She has been so kind and really does a good job cleaning up after me, fresh sheets, towels and has really made my stay here feel as close to home as possible for a hotel room. Many thanks to her. My room is great! It's quiet and no door banging, or loud guests - we all get it here, respect for quiet in the halls. The concierge service in the morning is really great - LANA is such a hard worker and is quite attentive and really cares about keeping everything clean and tidy. She has been my favorite concierge!! Your chef has come by and chatted with the guests in the evening. A great guy with lots of good recipes! Thank you!! Many thanks Marriott for a great staff and wonderful experience for the road warrior and weary traveler. read more

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!! Below is a letter that I have sent to the CEO of Marriott, Arne Sorenson, in regards to being evicted from the Marriott Hotel located at 8028 Leesburg Pike, Tysons Corner, VA 22182 by hotel general manager, Shelly DiMeglio. Five teenage girls and myself were evicted at 2 AM on June 30 right after the life threatening storms blew through the Washington, DC area and the area was declared in a "state of emergency" by the governor of Virginia and the hotel general manager. After a week of attempts to report this to a level above the general manager and being pushed back to the general manager and told that she is empowered to handle things as she sees fit I am now escalating this to the CEO of Marriott. I want to stress that all Marriott employees that I have dealt with (three so far) back the GM and stress that they have final authority. I have gotten major attitude from two of the three people I have spoke to and they appear inconvenienced by my complaint. The hotel manager displayed poor decision making skills and they have covered up the situation by falsifying the security log from that evening. Marriott put six people at risk that evening and so far has brushed it under the carpet. Dear Mr. Sorenson, I have made several attempts to contact a Marriott regional manager since being evicted from the Marriott hotel located at 8028 Leesburg Pike, Tysons Corner, VA 22182. I was evicted with no warning at 2 AM on June 30 along with five teenage girls. Your general manager, Shelly DiMeglio, threatened to have me arrested in front of the girls when I questioned the eviction. I was forced out into a "state of emergency" (a quote by both your general manager and your security guard) storm ravaged area by your general manager. There were downed power lines, uprooted trees and debris all over the streets. I have unsuccessfully tried to reach someone at a higher level than the general manager to discuss this matter and continue to be pushed back to her level by three separate employees. I am writing with great concern about the lack of acknowledgment by the Marriott management staff to address this issue and the safety of the hotel guests. I have attached a document outlining the events of that night and the cover up that I believe is taking place. I am asking that you take this matter into careful consideration and that you understand this is a genuine concern for the safety of me and the children I was responsible for as well as future hotel guests. I look forward to your response. Warm Regards, Stephanie Documentation of that evenings events are attached. Marriott Hotels & Resorts 8028 Leesburg Pike, Tysons Corner, VA 703-734-3200 read more

This hotel is actually a 3.3 my book. I consider it against the local competition which makes it average for the Tysons Corner area. The entrance is inviting and check in was fast. The room was well kept. The well equipped gym and large swimming pool were above average although the jacuzzi was broken while I was there (a near unforgettable offense as far as I am concerned). Overall, the hotel is quite nice and well maintained. Where this place really falls down is the restaurant. The menu is minimal. The food is mediocre at best. The prices are expensive. I had a salad with salmon just barely average) beer, and shared a crab dip appetizer that was all cream, little crab. The price for this mediocre meal was for $40 which was expensive considering the local competition. The breakfast buffet was even more disappointing with a very limited number of items on the menu. If you enjoy a big breakfast, definitely don't plan on it here. read more

I had a great stay even though it was short for a photo shoot. Jamie the night auditor welcomed us at the front desk and checked us in quick and smooth. We didn't get a change to experience all the amenities but we did go to the gym and it was nice with lota of workout equipment including dumbells. I'll be back since I'm local and always in the tysons corner area. read more

By Marriott standards, pretty bad. Pointless gated parking lot with slow and shoddy ticket booths. Tiny rooms. Nice lobby but outdated rooms and hallways. Long walk from parking lot to hotel. I stayed here two nights the past weekend as part of a wedding block. The rooms were typical. Nothing to write home about but comfortable enough to sleep in for 2 nights. The AC in the room was worthless. We had it set to 66 and it was still a good 79 degrees in the room which was very uncomfortable. Do not go to the bar unless you like completely overpaying for your beverages. I'm not cheap by any means, but I do have an issue with a hotel in Virginia charging more for a Tito's vodka and club soda than the clubs I recently visited in Las Vegas and Miami. A friend and I decided to grab a few drinks while we waited for the shuttles to pick us up. We each had 3 small Tito's drinks and were appalled when the bill came to show they were $13 a piece. It's not fair to the staff either, because after being charged the same amount for 6 drinks that I'd need to spend to get 2.5 half gallons of the stuff at the liquor store, I'm not in a very tipping mood. I still coughed it up though and the bill rounded out at $100 for the 6 drinks and no buzz whatsoever. I'd avoid in the future unless another wedding forced me to stay there. This ranks at the top of my list of worst Marriotts I've experienced. read more

Now, I understand this may not be a huge deal as I was not a guest staying in the hotel. Every time I visit the hotel, the staff is all very nice. One night recently before driving home, I stopped at the hotel to use the restroom. I had just been to giant where I purchased a pint of Haagen Daz Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. I brought the ice cream inside with me and put it in a freezer they had in their market area so it wouldn't melt. The only Haagen Daz they sold was Vanilla, and I knew I wouldn't be long, so I felt it would be safe in the freezer for 5 minutes. Upon returning, my ice cream was gone. I questioned the front desk, and a woman said she had recently sold the ice cream to a guest in the hotel. She said th guest flashed the ice cream and said charge it to my room. I explained what had happened and that it was mine and she said there was nothing she could do. The manager who was right there, completely ignored me when I was speaking to the receptionist, and asked me the repeat everything again, and she also said there was nothing that could be done since I wasn't a guest. I understand this was a $5 container of ice cream, but I find it rude that my issue was deemed "not important" and nothing could be done. Both the receptionist and manager seemed annoyed that they even had to listen to my complaint. It also seemed as if the receptionist wasn't even paying attention or doing her job. If she was, then when the guest "flashed" the ice cream to her, she would have noticed it was something they didnt even sell. The receptionist also said that when the guest flashed her the ice cream, he said charge it to my room, and then walked away. What I take away from that, is that anyone would take an item away from the market area and say charge it to my room, and the front desk staff wont even take the time to make sure that is in fact your room. I could take something and say charge it to the room, and it could be a complete strangers room, or a room with no one in it at all, and walk away with a free item. Again, I know it was only a $5 ice cream, and I know I wasn't a guest, but the whole situation was treated pretty unprofessionally by the front desk staff.... read more

Service was good for helping select local restaurants. Free suttle was a bit slower than the Ritz's where my friends were staying. Room was very clean, I requested extra shampoo and lotion and was given plenty. Rooms were not too loud, I couldn't hear neighbors. Lobby had free internet service and printers specifically for boarding passes which was very handy. Good location to the mall and no too far from the Metro. I'd give it another star if the bedding was better-there is double sheeting but no comforter, only a thin blanket. I had to set the temperature on 78 to be comfortable and it was warm outside. read more

I stay at Tysons Corner Marriott on regular basis for business travel. It's a solid hotel and offers very convenient location and friendly service. The room was as small as my kitchen, the front desk was no help, door keys didn't work properly, they charged me for parking on their lot without telling me there was a cost and to top it all off, they had a $50 hold on my Visa four to five days after my stay for "incidentals" that they never informed me about either when I booked the room online or when I checked in and out?! We rented a room with one king bed. Small room overall and probably the smallest hotel bathroom I've seen. There was a hair on the toilet when we checked in and the toilet didn't flush properly. Bed wasn't comfortable. Also, the pool hours were ridiculous. Only open 4 hours on weeknights and closes at 9 every night. I've never seen such limited pool hours! The shuttle only operated until 6:30 pm on the Saturday that we were there. Have also never seen such limited shuttle hours. The 2 stars are pretty much for the location close to Tyson's malls and train station. All are about a 10/15 min walk since the shuttle doesn't operate all the time... Would not stay here again, though, especially with so many other good options nearby. read more

Surreal experience, made even worse because I was in a rush to meet business partners. Difficulty running my credit card, then key to didn't work. When I came back to desk Marriott Corporate photographer who happened to be there noticed my frustration offered to accompany me to room with new key. He was embarrassed when it didn't work again "due the battery being out". Moved me to a "bigger room" on another floor we waited for the manager to bring keys. When I finally got situated and ready to shower there were no towels. Called the front desk who said housekeeping would bring them right aways. When they didn't I had to got out in the hall to get them from supplies cart myself. No apologies on my way out to my business meeting. The following morning when I left told the front desk that if they charged me for incidentals ($25) I would dispute them and complain to Corporate about their horrible service. This morning when I checked not only were charges still on my statement but the hold (Hotwire Booking) had not been removed. read more

My husband and I booked this hotel for a weekend getaway for our 3rd Anniversary. Called in advance to confirm everything will be smooth upon checking in and spoke with a lovely lady Akia. Customer service was great, she reassured me all is fine and she even gave us a free upgrade and goodies in our room for our anniversary. The hotel was clean, room spacious and breakfast was really delicious with great variety. I have nothing bad to say about customer service from any employee since every one we interacted with was very professional. I will definitely stay here again. Given that we did not want to leave is a testament to how great Akia, the breakfast staff and everyone else treated us. Thanks so much for your service. read more

We will not come back. We saw people leave a tip on the cash register. The same employee was rude. Afterwards. The people who clean the rooms. Yell and scream at the top of their voices. During the day. We had our rooms cleaned at 4;00pm. Noticed the employees were playing around a lot. The people not want to wait on us. When we checked in. They were playing around. And we called the management. And security came instead. They would not volunteer to do anything for us. We had to ask them to come back and do their job .On a regular basis. Management asked people who stay there. And complain to leave. We had security follow us to the parking lot. We did nothing wrong. Just coming back to their rooms. The management told security to follow us. Because we complained about poor service. We had to ask the management to stop it. And told we want a refund. Told management that we not have time to argue with her. We are on a time limit. And she wasting our time. The rooms are small. And we arrived . Complained about a dirty bathroom and room. The beds were not made. And the pillows were dirty. Had make up on it. The bathtub was dirty. And the toilet was not flushed. It needed to be. Dirt Around the bathtub. And toothpaste on the counter. Not in a tube . toothpaste stains. read more

I am a loyal Marriott customers and I usually prefer Marriott hotels over their other brands, but not a great experience this past weekend. Tiny room - the smallest Marriott room I ever stayed in. No upgrades available. Typical Marriott clean and tidy room but a bit dated. The club level concierge not open on the weekend. I typically enjoy this benefit at my Marriott stays but not this time. Room had single pane old leaky windows. How much energy is that costing . . . hmmm. Got chilled during the night - turn up the heat right? Great view from thew 14th floor though. People/staff were really nice. $18.00 breakfast was a bit pricey. Will not stay here again - too many other nicer options in the Tysons area. read more

I chose to stay at this hotel because I had my birthday celebration at Chima Brazilian Steakhouse right next door (within walking distance). I was a little skeptical about staying here because of the previous yelp reviews, but I honestly have to say that my stay was awesome. Yes if you look at the hotel from the outside the building looks outdated. However, like most businesses in the Tysons Corner area that have been there since it became "Tysons Corner" all of the buildings are outdated. I was pleasantly surprised at the newly renovated lobby. The bar area was inviting and we had the buffet brunch there the next morning (food and service was excellent). Our room was clean, pool was really nice/relaxing, the staff were more than helpful. Overall, our experience there was a pleasant one. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking and for the price under $80 a night, you can't beat that. read more
