Wow what an unexpected great stay! Went for a work function and it was a very nice hotel. Clean, spacious and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

I would have given this hotel five stars, but there were a few minor issues. Overall, the property is absolutely beautiful! We stayed for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and I reached out before our arrival to see if they could enhance the room with balloons and champagne. They went above and beyond, truly exceeding my expectations. A special thank-you to Bernadette, Sheila, and the rest of the front desk team; they were all wonderful. There was one staff member whose energy felt a bit off at first, but after speaking with Sheila (the manager), her attitude noticeably improved. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Pros: * Stunning ambiance and beautiful rooms * Lovely hotel aesthetics throughout * Breakfast included * Shops and restaurants within walking distance * On-site dining options Cons: * Parking garage can be a bit difficult to find * No bellhop service, so you may have to make multiple trips if you have more than one bag * Beds are slightly firm * WREN restaurant is open in the middle of the lobby rather than in an enclosed space

I Could Live Here! This hotel was beautiful and super clean! They staff were friendly and the wagyu burger was amazing! The guy is in the process of being remodeled but they did a great job of keeping it clean and the construction separate so you can still use all of the equipment and they have lovely chilled towels. I didn't want to leave!

Absolutely love this hotel! Perfect for going to a show at Wolftrap, Capital One Hall or shopping at Tysons Corner! We have a suite with so much room. Bedroom with TV set in the wall. Living room with bigger tv. Partial kitchen with large fridge (for a hotel), microwave, coffee maker, etc. Bathroom has walk in shower, no tub, but spacious. Great restaurants on property. Front desk staff are very friendly. Nice little necessities shop. Walk out to putt putt, brewery and food trucks on 11th floor roof. No pool. Breakfast is in the Aviary on 9th floor. Delicious hot and cold options, included in room rate. Dog friendly too! It is right across the street from the McLean Metro station which has a shuttle for Wolftrap! Very convenient! We have stayed here a couple of times so far and we love it!

Beautiful hotel, right in the center of Tyson's area. Very large and modern. Check in and out was easy. Very secure as you can not get on a floor without your key. At the outside of the elevator you swipe your room key and select your room number, a letter will light up telling you what car to get into. I was surprised with all the floors how little wait times there was for your elevator to arrive. I was in a two bed queen suite. The room was very nice, very comfy bed. Great area to work in, fridge, safe and microwave all in the room. They offer a free breakfast Buffett which was very good. Not just a Continental breakfast, there were tons of options something for whatever anyone would have a taste for. Had a work out as well while here, the gym located on the 25th floor was nice. New equipment, filled with treadmills, elliptical, stair master, bikes and a full weight area. The lobby has a very large area with a bar and tons of tables and sitting area where each section had TVS. Definitely would recommend staying here if in the area. Lots of food options within walking distant. For my Buffalo locals there is a Wegmans attached!

Hotel was amazing! Lobby is on the 11th floor with Wegman's on the street level. Friendly service, high end restaurants, lounge, beer garden, lunch trucks, putt putt and walkway garden are on the lobby floor. Room was new, clean, spacious, nicely decorated and bed was very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was great! We had an exceptional experience and will definitely stay here again!!!

DANG! What a steal in NOVA. The room was huge. I liked how it comes with a microwave, fridge and sink. And don't forget - Wegmans is below the hotel!! It's got a really cool outdoor space for the kiddos to run which is right next to star hill. The food trucks and drink stand looked nice but we didn't eat. The room was very clean. Bright and open! The elevator is controlled by the key. The hit was breakfast! DELICIOUS. Stuff for everyone to eat. It's right next to the sliver line. Close to the capital one center. And the price is right! $25 for parking though!!

Honestly this location is supreme. Close to the highway, right above the McLean metro, right by shops and stuff like how more convenient! And connected to the hall where all the shows are. It's perfect! We paid for parking well my bf did and that made it super easy. Garage can be hard to find though. Breakfast did what it needed to and also the place is pretty. Lobby on 11 and we stayed on 18 so felt high and mighty. The rooms are set up beautifully! I love how the bedroom and like lounge area is separate. The bathroom is a great size! Like definitely pretty rooms! Food availability in some of the surrounding places up to 1am and they have spiked toddys! Came to see a comedy show so stayed here and honestly was an amazing decision! Would love to stay here again. I will say when the room was cleaned they took the towels and stuff that were used but didn't replace the wash cloths... so being naked and realizing there are no wash cloths in your room can be annoying esp when it's 730am and you're already rushing to work :) didn't have time so used the hand towel smh. Also not sure that the vent in the bathroom works so took a while to clear out the steam and be able to use the bathroom after the shower (so don't choose room 1805!) Called around 330a for an extra blanket because there's none in the closet and was told there's no one able to bring it which I wasn't surprised by but with all this space in this room including a full couch I don't understand why there wouldn't be a spare blanket in the room. Overall a great place!

This hotel is beautifully designed, clean and the staff is friendly. We were really impressed. We've stayed here 3 times so far and have not been let down at all.

I stayed at the Watermark Hotel for one night for business travel. It is a beautiful new hotel with exceptionally large, well appointed rooms and excellent amenities. I did have a small snafu with the incredibly efficient housekeeping clearing my room before my official check out time, which led to some small personal items like food being discarded, but they were very apologetic and offered to replace it. All the rest of my interactions with staff were wonderful and very accommodating. I had requested an early check in and was able to get into my room at 10am rather than 4pm. I stayed in a junior king suite which was over 500 square feet and featured a large bedroom with flat screen TV and double closet, a living room with a sectional couch, flat screen TV, lounge chairs, and a workspace, a small kitchenette, and a large bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower. It was immaculately clean, very modern, and comfortable. I also took advantage of The Wren's bar and lounge area in the lobby, which was beautiful and offered top-tier service. My one complaint is that the building is extremely confusing to navigate from the outside and in the parking garages and could desperately use better signage. The building is shared with the Capital One Hall events venue, The Perch restaurant and beer garden, and a Wegman's grocery store. If you are not familiar with the area and the building it is very easy to miss the hotel entrance, especially with the first 8 floors being parking and the lobby being on the 11th floor. I found myself using the wrong set of elevators multiple times, which was frustrating when wheeling around a suitcase.

Really stunning hotel and room. If we had small children, I would request a room not facing The Perch. We stayed a Saturday night and they had a live band playing until a little after 10:00. The ac unit was a bit loud but it didn't bother me as much as it annoyed my husband. There are two TVs and a very nice sitting area. They provide a hot breakfast in a very nice setting. Waffles, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, bacon and sausage, fresh cut fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal. I enjoyed the stay overall.

(Disclosure: My family of three and I were gifted with a one-night stay at the Watermark in one of their king suites. They didn't tell me what to post, but disclosing it nonetheless.) On a Saturday night in February, my family of three drove from D.C. under an hour to Tysons for a little staycation. Loving the city, we were a bit hesitant about spending a night in the suburbs, BUT our stay at the Watermark Hotel exceeded our expectations. Here's why. 1) Suites: Every room is a suite and ours was a king suite on the 23rd floor with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen (with an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher), dining room, and workspace. It's a newer hotel so the design and style are nice and modern. The views are pretty overlooking the Virginian countryside and suburbs. 2) Amenities: The hotel has a full gym with all the equipment you'd need and it's open 24/7. A Japanese restaurant and bar is on the 11th floor near the lobby with a little store. Breakfast is included on the 9th floor and comes with a buffet of eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, cold brew, etc. 3) Location: Right outside the 11th floor lobby is an outdoor space called The Perch. Most of it was closed since we went in the winter, but during warmer months, they have mini golf, swings, open space, bars, and food. The hotel is also in the same building as a new Wegman's and the Capital One Hall, a music and concert venue. 4) Staff: Everyone was very personable, kind, and on top of things. When we arrived, our suite has a purple tent set up for my daughter and games for her to play. So thoughtful and kind!

Great, modern hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. Parking and restaurant on the premises. Short walk to Capital One and Cap one Hall, multiple dining options in walking distance and Wegmans one of the best grocery stores that serves fresh cooked food and tap beers too as well and all other things you'd expect in a grocery store. Very nice fitness center on the top floor (25th floor) and the stay comes with an awesome buffet breakfast. A very good breakfast, nothing like the nasty tasteless complimentary breakfasts I've had at many other hotels, so this was awesome too. Also, we received a late checkout up of request which was a big help with our schedule. We didn't eat at the fancy restaurant in the hotel lobby (The Wren on the 11th floor) we did check out the menu and it was very expensive $$$.

As a family, we adore this particular Ritz Carlton in Tyson's Corner. It's probably our favorite hotel collectively - you can't beat the amenities, the service, the staff, and the location. My parents have consistently gone back to this hotel for a yearly weekend getaway consistently for nearly 20 years, continuing to choose that hotel despite the ever-changing landscape due to COVID. Therefore, it is with great disappointment that I write this negative review about this hotel because it has truly served us well over the years. My parents booked a weekend trip from November 14th through the 17th in celebration of my mom's birthday. Unfortunately, my mother came down with COVID-pnemonia that week, showing symptoms on the evening of Monday Nov. 12th with an official diagnosis by the evening of Tuesday Nov. 13th. Realizing that they could not travel under such conditions, my father canceled the booking for their weekend trip via the website on Wednesday, Nov. 14th. While he was able to cancel the trip, the company withheld a 500 dollar, non-refundable charge because it was 'not within the three day limit' as stated on their website. Now the problem here is this - what constitutes as three days? Are we talking a full 36 hours here or are we talking three days as counting by fingers? Because the trip was canceled Wednesday morning with a 4pm Friday arrival - Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are three days. I hate to cherrypick the Bible (although it is common practice these days), but if we're going by Jesus' rules, he died on a Friday afternoon and was resurrected on a Sunday morning, and it constitutes as three days by church law - but apparently, this timeline is not good enough for the Ritz Carlton. Believing this was unfair, my father called the hotel themselves and explained the situation - they are longtime customers, my mom was nearly hospitalized due to Covid, they had a doctor's note as proof, is there anything they could do to lessen this exorbitant cancellation fee? The staff's answer was essentially "apologies, but no." The staff said my father should have called the hotel directly instead of canceling it online and they could have done more for them, and that it actually wasn't three days but more like two and a half, and the charge would unfortunately stay. Now, we understand that hotels are subject to inflation and economic woes due to the state of the world, and some sort of penalty due to the cancellation is understandable - but let's look at the facts here. My mother was diagnosed with a highly contagious virus, and they did the right thing by canceling their trip a few days before as opposed to risking several people in the hotel. This was not a morning-of cancellation - this was a cancellation on Wednesday for a trip that technically wouldn't begin until check-in time at 4pm on Friday. Was there absolutely nothing the management staff could have done to rectify or soften this blow? If removing the fee was out of the question, there are other things the management could have done instead of saying "sorry, not sorry" about the 500 dollar charge. They could have offered a voucher, or a credit for rebooking a different weekend, or offered free dinner at one of their restaurants - something to make up for this loss. My parents would have accepted any of these things - because really, THEY are the ones missing out here - no trip, a terrible illness, and out 500 dollars because they did the right thing by canceling. To me, this is just poor business practice. It is important to reward loyal customers, and the Ritz-Carlton is supposed to be the height of luxury - and yet, apparently the 500 dollars is more important than maintaining a 20-year long relationship. It's truly disappointing. The irony is that the Ritz Carlton has a '$2000 rule' to make guests happy, but apparently they need my parents' 500 dollars in order to make this golden rule work for other customers.

We were on our way to a wedding in Potomac, MD on Sunday, and the closest hotels were in Tysons Corner VA or Bethesda MD. We selected this hotel primarily because it's an IHG hotel (where we have platinum membership in its reward program), its location, and very good review profile. This hotel offers apartment-style hotel suites with full kitchens, free wifi, and 42" HDTVs, and includes a free breakfast buffet. The website indicates that the hotel also offers 24/7 laundry, a fitness room, and seasonal pool but, while useful, we didn't use any of these. We were very pleased with our selection. The hotel was beautifully appointed and spotless, and it was clear that thought had gone into providing what travelers were most likely need. Our suite was huge, with two separate areas. One side included the sleeping area and the bathroom, while the other side was the kitchen and sitting area with TV. (Note that there are different room types. Our daughter and SIL said that their room was smaller). Check-in was effortless, with everything already ready upon our arrival. The check-in receptionist was friendly, and offered good recommendations for local restaurants. The breakfast buffet offered many hot and other choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages, diced sweet potatoes, hot waffles, oatmeal, breads/bagels/scones, fresh fruit (apples, bananas, oranges), and beverages (coffee, tea, juices). Foods were replenished regularly, except for the orange and pineapple juices (both of which dispensed only water). The neighborhood is urban, but the hotel is quiet and offers parking ($). There are walkable restaurants nearby. Our rating for this hotel would actually be 4.5 but a round-up to 5.0 seemed more appropriate than a downgrade. A few small things, the first two of which are related to communication. (1) we were surprised by our final bill which included a $10 charge for parking. While we were asked at check-in whether we needed a parking pass, it was never mentioned, and should have been, that there was a charge for that parking. (2) we're platinum members of IHG's Rewards Program, which is usually acknowledged at check-in with an offer of 500 loyalty points or a snack or drink. While not mentioned at check-in, I did find later that our account was credited with 500 points. (3) I had been sitting on the chaise lounger in the bedroom area, elevating my feet after a long drive. My husband called from the other side of the suite, and I swung my legs to get up to go there. This caused me to fall with a hard thud. It turns out that what I thought was a one piece chaise lounger (as in the living room area) was actually a chair and ottoman that fit together. When I tried to get up, the ottoman rolled and I fell between the two pieces. Not a major injury, but I do have some black and blue marks. I guess I should've turned on a light!

I couldn't wait to get out of this hotel. Overall the vibe is very depressing and the worst part is that no one really cares about you.

I was impressed by the size, cleanliness and functional layout of the community center. There was convenient & easy parking and a large lobby area that draws you back towards diverging hallways with a series of large adjacent rooms for holding community activities and events. For the 2023 Chocolate Festival there was a whole hallway of rooms where the vendors were displaying their delicious chocolate candies & treats that they had for sale! It was a very organized event. All purchases being made with tickets that you bought from the cashiers at a long table in the lobby just around the corner of the hallway. Down the other hallway was a special room set up as a children's game room with arts & crafts and Legos for the kids to build with. My grandchildren loved it! There were benches for relaxing on conveniently placed by the bathrooms. We sat there and shared some of the chocolate treats that we bought! That same day a flute quartet was providing music for the visitors. This was a super fun event. I would gladly return to this venue for other family themed activities. The spirit of volunteerism was also clear for all to see from the high school students in the game room and the adults selling the food and raffle tickets! until next time be kind to each other. #mccleancommunitycenter #familyfun #mccleanchocolatefestival
