    Little River Band

Amazing modern and spacious venue. My wife and I saw Little River Band here and loved it. The escalators and elevators take you quite a ways up from the ground floor which is interesting but it's far from the top of the tower.

Beautiful venue, conveniently located a short walk from the McLean metro. I sat in Center Orchestra, Row T for a reasonable price and could see and hear everything perfectly. Bonus - the women's bathroom is HUGE! No long wait times at intermission for this theater.

    Mrs. Doubtfire was excellent!

An excellent venue that makes theater and other performances more accessible than having to go into DC. The venue is modern, with comfortable seats and a great view from any seat. There are several parking options. You can park at their lot next to it, which charges by the hour. It is like $6 for 2-3 hours. There are also several underground garages close by near the Wegmans. It is not too bad of a walk from the metro. The bus also takes you there. The concessions have quite a nice variety. The bathrooms are clean. They also tend to sell fan merchandise after performances. They offer free small water bottles after some performances, which is a nice touch. We have seen many shows there, and most recently, we saw Masterchef Live and Mrs. Doubtfire -- both were fun!

I was very disappointed with the building's policies. They seem to prioritize rules over accommodating the public.

I was very disappointed with the building's policies. They seem to prioritize rules over accommodating the public. This led me to leave during intermission, as I felt my needs were disregarded. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. The manager was rude too, unfortunate.

This is a great new theater in the Tysons area. We went to see comedian Desi Banks here. The show was sold out but the seating felt comfortable and seemingly every seat in the theater provides a decent view. We were in the 5th row of the 1st tier balcony. The sound was great and the theatre was modern and new. I have to take off one star for the bathrooms. They have single toilets so there was a long line of men and women waiting to get in to the singular bathrooms. It was a big mistake. They should have traditional bathrooms with multiple stalls. The bathroom line was literally twenty minutes when I waited. Parking is pricey but on par with the area. I will definitely return but I will make sure that I don't drink to avoid the bathroom line.

Was only here for a two day work convention. Building was nice. Easy access off the metro, right around the corner from The Watermark hotel and a Wegmans! Great location. We had food there, which I assume the venue provided, and it was fine.

Went to see the handels messiah. Had a great experience all around. Metro- the McLean metro atop is right there. Really convenient. Parking- there is a $15 parking lot 2 blocks from the venue. Easy to navigate. Food/drinks- you cannot bring any food or drinks into the venue, not even a bottle of water. But they have a light menu in the atrium space. Nearby bites- there is a brewery next door, French spot across the street, and wegmans down the block. Lots of options. Seating- there is not a bad seat in the house. Seating is spacious and comfortable. Venue- the decor is classy and simple and feels fancy. Atrium is a great space to have a drink or quick bite before a performance. Lots of elevators and escalators and bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Staff-all employees and volunteers we interacted with were helpful and pleasant. Not to mention the show was excellent. I will be back.

Went to see a popular band my LOOOVE really enjoys! they do covers of all genres Called PostModern Jukebox!. The Venue is very niiiice there's No TVs to see as if you're sitting all the way in the back! As when you google you'll see some tv screens set up it depends on the performance happening I believe. Gives a very orchestral feel it's plenty of seating , you'll be elbow to elbow, knees behind your seat no leg room to stretch but still comfortable!. We were at Balcony Two!, it's 7 floors, the open area and outside rooftop types a nice touch and it's all lit up at night it's nice and colors!... You can't really dance too much or you'll fall over on the next person lol. They had a full running Bar, Snacks/Food bites very cute! For a date night!. I've never been here or to see PMJ and I LOOOVEd it all. The staff was nice and helpful , it was sooo pretty lit up and went well with the wonderful night! I'd absolutely come here for Aby show!! . I'm officially a Fan of this theater and PMJ!!!

This is a fantastic place to see a concert or musical. The acoustic is great no matter where you sit. It's very elegant! They sell drinks and snacks which you are allowed to bring to your seat. Remember it's only snacks. If you want to save cash, you can park in garages near by for $15. Before or after your event try out the rooftop bar and garden.

Capital One Hall - view inside "The Vault".

I visited Capital One Hall for a Saturday evening chamber music concert in December 2023. The performance was located in "the Vault" (black box theater on the 4th floor). Lots of pluses for this performing arts venue - first, the intimate theater space had excellent acoustics. Second, it was easy to go through security in the lobby, show your e-ticket, and take an elevator to the 4th floor. Third, a small concessions stand had options for drinks and snacks. However, for a full meal, you're better off going to Wegmans (half-block away in the same building) which has an indoor mini-food court. The only downside was that you need to walk a block from the parking garage ($15 flat fee) to the main performing arts center (which might be a pain if the weather is unpleasant). I think the parking fee is less expensive that the Kennedy Center in DC, but more expensive than the George Mason University Center for the Arts (where it's free in Lot K). Overall, I would come here again to see a future performance!

This is a really nice venue! Since it's new, the building was clean, spacious, and modern. We parked in the venue's garage which cost $15. Signage was very clear to find your way to the venue from the parking garage. Going through security was seamless. We got in the queue and they had three metal detectors and bag check lines. The lines were kept moving for quick entry into the building. As soon as we scanned our tickets and went up the escalator to the main atrium area, we were greeted by an usher who handed us a playbill and helped direct us to our seats. We were able to explore the space and there's plenty of bars, high tops, a few benches, and even a deck to enjoy the outdoors. There's a fancier seating area on the Balcony 2 level for dining. Food and drink that is purchased can be brought inside the main theater. It's mostly drinks and the typical concessions (ie. Candy, cookies, chips, nuts, etc.) and a few warm items: hot pretzel and chicken tenders. There are bathrooms on every level. The venue is well-organized to get people to their seats. Seating charts are stationed at each theater entrance with ushers there to direct your path. The seating charts are a great visual! Our tickets were for Balcony 2, the highest section (aka the cheap seats). The balcony seats were angled enough that you can have a clear view of the stage without other people's heads getting in the way. We were in the last row and the view was slightly obstructed by the lights, but the obstruction was minimal as it was only the occasional marquees projected on the top of the screen that we missed (Note: These weren't *necessary* to see for the show and not all shows may have this production) - we could see the actors just fine. That being said, the angle in the second balcony was very steep and my neck did feel strained from looking down for two hours, which is the trade-off of being positioned closer to the stage from so high up. The show was scheduled to start at 8pm, and got underway by 8:05. At intermission, there was no "ringing of the bell" to indicate that intermission was ending and the show would start back up again. This caused a slew of people to rush back in when the music started playing again. Acoustics for the majority of the show were good, but there were times when the outside chatter would travel through the theater, which was particularly distracting during quieter moments of the show. It sounded like it was coming from behind Balcony 1, possibly through a vent. Not sure if they should have better soundproofing or just better protocols of keeping your voice down outside the theater during the show. When the show ended, they opened the doors on the main floor which connect directly to the parking garage doors (5th floor level). Since there's only way one in/out of the garage, leaving the garage was a logistical nightmare. There's no way to avoid it unless you 1) park in a different nearby garage that's hopefully less crowded or 2) leave the show early. Get ready to play the waiting game. There was a parking attendant stationed towards the bottom of the garage to direct traffic, but I don't think it made much of a difference. Capital One Hall is here to stay and it's a nice event space conveniently located off the Beltway.

As part of a stay at nearby Watermark Hotel, my family of three were gifted with tickets to the Omnium Circus at the Capital One Hall. With a parking garage inside the hall, we walked in and were immediately impressed with the sheer size of the hall. The space has one large open lobby with food and drink stands selling pretzels, popcorn, snacks, candy, beer, wine, hard cider, etc. There are plenty of restrooms. The hall itself is large with several levels of balcony seating too. We sat in the very front row and still were able to see the performance without straining our necks.

Had a great time at Get The Led Out this week, a phenomenal Led Zeppelin tribute band. My only complaints were subtle, that parking on my ticket said to use Garage C3 but the actual garage was C2 and I had to back out awkwardly from C3. Finding the venue from the garage was easy though. About halfway through the show there was an intermission and the bathroom line was a bit long. Then towards the end of the show staff started asking everyone to stop videoing the performance with cell phones. Like, why not say this upfront? Very rude to interrupt someone's video and climb over folks to get to that person to tell them don't video. Everyone did anyway. I was lucky and found seats closer to the stage that didn't have some very tall person's head in my way. I had 8th row seats but ended up in the 6th row. If it was a sold out event I would have been mad my original seat was so bad! Get The Led Out was amazing though and I even got the set list to take home with me! Exiting the parking lot was very easy and the venue is adjacent to 495. I only waited an extra 10 minutes to leave the garage. I will be back, especially when Get The Led Out plays next!!

How is getting out of the parking garage after a performance?

Getting to the actual parking garage from the main hall can be kind of confusing because there's some small hallways, but it's not too bad getting out.

Before the Michael movie began, my husband and I ordered popcorn, two milkshakes, and a meal for him (I believe it included skewers). Our total was over $70. My husband waited about 25 minutes for his meal before going to the counter to ask about it. He was told they were understaffed and returned to our seats. After another 25 minutes, the food still had not arrived. He went back to the counter, and they refunded only the meal he never received. In my opinion, the entire order should have been refunded because the delay significantly impacted our movie experience. My husband spent much of the beginning of the movie waiting and expecting his food, and ultimately had nothing to eat except popcorn. The bathrooms were also not well maintained. Multiple toilets were clogged and would not flush, leaving them filled with urine and toilet paper. The sinks were surrounded by water and strands of hair. In the family restroom, the toilet was continuously flushing, smelled strongly of urine, and the toilet seat was covered in dirt or some kind of buildup. I love the comfortable seats, but the poor service and lack of cleanliness made me hesitant to return. If I am paying premium prices for both dining and a movie, I expect timely service and clean facilities.

We actually had very good seats. We paid a little extra for the seating but it was so worth it. We were seated in Row A seat 13 & 14. The event lasted 2 hour's with a thirty minute break. This show was very humorous and quirky. It was a very different kind of circus than what I'm use to. I have been to Barnum Bailey Circus and Universal Soul circus. I loved the costumes and everything. We purchased the typical hotdogs and I purchased an icee. They did have a list of adult beverages. My husband said his beer was refreshing. We even stopped by the gift shop on our way out and made two tee-shirt purchases. They have a variety of gifts from binoculars to bags to you name it they had it. They offered parking across the street but we opted for the parking around the corner which was only about $12.00 for 3 1/2 hour's. Again this was a very enjoyable show with a variety of entertainment. We definitely plan on attending again next year. Oh btw restrooms are all outside with plenty available to use before and after the event. Really cute set up and found them to be clean with plenty of soap available. Also spotted a beer garden tent. Didn't have a chance to stop by but that was pretty cool if you want to hang around after the event.

We came here for a weekend matinee. This is certainly a more luxurious movie theater experience…read more.. move over, Regal and AMC! There's validated parking right next door. You must park in the garage (not in the outdoor lot or street parking). They had a machine to validate the parking ticket at the guest services counter, and we were covered for the full three hours. It was easy to find the theater. We took the escalators up and found the kiosks parked right outside the movie theater entrance. They had multiple kiosks in the hallway where you can buy your tickets and order food in advance. Once you enter the theater lobby, there's even more kiosks set-up. There was even extra lobby/lounge seating if you want to enjoy your food and drinks outside the theater. (Note: this is for the movie theater food, not your own - outside food and drinks are not allowed.) There's another bar dining area and additional theaters (9-14) on the upper level. Reclining leather seats have become the norm at most movie theaters. But LOOK raises the bar with heated seats AND buttons to adjust the headrest. We are living in the future here! But wait, there's more. They have swinging trays attached for a "movie-dinner" experience and QR codes on said seat trays to scan and have the food delivered right to your seat! You can also order at the concessions stand, but it's just not as fun (though there is an 18% service fee tacked on... call it a built-in gratuity for the door-to-door service). Brunch items are served before 2pm. They also have alcoholic beverages for that adult dining experience. We ordered popcorn and a soda and one of their brunch items - Chicken and Pancakes! The popcorn and soda were brought directly to the seats within five minutes. The chicken and pancakes came about 30 minutes later, while the movie had already started. We actually thought they had forgotten about the chicken and pancakes because there was no acknowledgment of the order being worked on when the popcorn was delivered. Several other people received their food items throughout the movie (the staff have little flashlights and will make their way to you). It can be a little distracting, but it winds down as most people will be watching the movie instead of ordering more food on their phone. People ordered pizzas, bowls, chicken tenders, burgers, etc. Instead of the movie theater smelling like popcorn, it smells like a restaurant (primarily of hot fried foods). This can make you hungry during the movie and might make you want to order more food. I was tempted to order fries during the movie, but I opted to keep my phone away and enjoy the movie. At the end of the movie, four giant trash cans were near the exits and they were overflowing. Good for the theater for making all those concession sales, and good for the audience for cleaning up after themselves. We sat in Row D and I did find the sound to be a smidge too loud. Some scenes in the movie were a little pixelated. I'm not sure if that's due to me sitting in the fourth row (too close to the screen) or if that's more on the movie studio. Restrooms were okay... generally clean, which I would hope since we were one of the first screenings of the day. I will note that the sink water pressure wasn't great and some of the sinks didn't seem to work. But overall, this is a nice movie theater experience if you're looking to indulge, kick back, relax, and enjoy the show.

This was probably close to my 10th Cirque Du Soleil show but first since the pandemic. For those…read morewho still care, masks were almost non-existant but there were a few in the crowd and employees. As another reviewer said, it's fairly easy to park at the mall and walk. If you park at Tyson's Corner Center (Tyson's 1, not the closer Tyson's 2/Galleria) IMO it is not obvious how to cross the street from the mall, so it took a bit of exploring. Another reviewers hint to look for the metro and use the bridge was solid (paired with logical keep to sidewalks). So first the "bad": * I think this was the first Cirque show I've seen where I saw mistakes. Ironically, given another reviewer praise, it was with the ring events. * I also think this was the first Cirque show I've been to where there were noticable 'cleanup' crew on stage that were not "in character" part of the show (besides between acts). * Finally, there was a lot going on at times with this show. My SO said that is not atypical but acknowledged sometimes it seemed like there were 2 acts going on at once (in addition to the always small things to look at). To their credit this does give some rewatch value for whoever can afford that. * Occasionally spotlights were in my eyes. This might have been seating but I suspect all but the middle or maybe far corners would have been affected at some point. More informational than bad, besides those spotlights, because the stage rotates I didn't really feel like the more expensive seats were worth it. I think being in the nosebleed seats likely would have been fine as long as you don't care about close up costume detail or maybe some crowd interaction. Maybe not the far right and left. I will add the online ticket/seat picking map makes the place look a lot bigger than it is. Aside from all that, the performances were solid and the music was stellar. SO said it was nice things were bilingual (spanish english) vs the "normal" French. Maybe it has been because it's been a number of years, but things to me felt fresh and new. Before the pandemic SO and I were mulling how Cirque shows were feeling a bit stale. If you disagree with me and don't find this fresh, my advice is take some time off and come back, maybe that's what it was. Maybe it was our seats but of all the Cirque I've been to, it felt like the actors on stage were smiling and nodding specifically at me vs in general. I also really appreciated the "freeze" scenes because I know that takes a ton of strength and almost every single performer was doing it. As far as the water add, I disagree with another reviewer. IMO anything you can do without water, is more difficult with water and was well executed and fun to watch. The masks and puppetry (in addition to normal costumes) was all good. One "comedy" in between acts did involve having a large ball tossed around the audience which I felt was an accident waiting to happen. Luckily it never came our way. I also cannot say I remember noticing so many repeat performers before. It wasn't stale but I do wonder if they shrunk their crew. Last notable thing for me was there were a lot of people taking video or flash camera and security was on them pretty fast which I appreciated. The light is very distracting in an otherwise pretty dark performance area, probably also for performers safety. As for the timing of the show, the doors opened 30m before showtime. This was not stated on the tickets like the general area or concessions were. There was one "25 minute" intermission. We did not leave our seating area during that time. Unlike other reviews said, there were no metal detectors nor were our bags searched. We could have brought in outside food if we wanted. I am not sure if that was because the show was ending soon and they were over it. Your milage may vary. Bathrooms (pre-show) were the typical tight flushable portopotties...think airplane bathroom. My door was kind of questionable and I thought I might get locked in but I didn't :P My toilet also did not flush maybe it was in disorder. I thought I heard through a wall "is there no soap?" but I tried not to listen too hard :P Water was 6.50 but came in a metal (probably reusable) container. There was free water (and small plastic cups) which I had not seen before. In case it matters it was a Thursday show.

The professional kitchen was a clean and roomy enough environment for eight people plus a chef to whip together a fun communal dinner. We look forward to taking other classes soon

I was impressed by the size, cleanliness and functional layout of the community center. There was convenient & easy parking and a large lobby area that draws you back towards diverging hallways with a series of large adjacent rooms for holding community activities and events. For the 2023 Chocolate Festival there was a whole hallway of rooms where the vendors were displaying their delicious chocolate candies & treats that they had for sale! It was a very organized event. All purchases being made with tickets that you bought from the cashiers at a long table in the lobby just around the corner of the hallway. Down the other hallway was a special room set up as a children's game room with arts & crafts and Legos for the kids to build with. My grandchildren loved it! There were benches for relaxing on conveniently placed by the bathrooms. We sat there and shared some of the chocolate treats that we bought! That same day a flute quartet was providing music for the visitors. This was a super fun event. I would gladly return to this venue for other family themed activities. The spirit of volunteerism was also clear for all to see from the high school students in the game room and the adults selling the food and raffle tickets! until next time be kind to each other. #mccleancommunitycenter #familyfun #mccleanchocolatefestival
