I was here for a conference in the area and stayed here for the event. The property is very well maintained and the room I had was also very nice. The staff was super friendly and professional as well. If I come back to this part of DC I'll stay here.

Came here for an event instead of a hotel stay. They provided a few standing signs to lead us to the ballroom on the second floor, which located on the right side from the lobby. There was also an entrance from outside directly to the second floor. We received multiple warm greetings while walking inside the hotel. There was a restaurant opened only for breakfast on the side of the ballroom. The other restaurant Tysons Social Tavern located on the ground floor opened 3pm to midnight every day.

Everyone was super nice, excellent service and they gave treats to puppette. Parking spaces need to be redone - ENTIRELY too narrow. There's no way to avoid hitting other cars while opening a door. If the hotel had been fuller, there would have DEFINITELY been more door dings. It's enough to make me not wanna come back.

Update: Some of the staff members are nicer than others. It depends on who's working that day. The breakfast restaurant staff is slow but much more coordinated than the evening staff. ------ Hotel is a bit outdated. The room phones aren't user friendly. No speaker phone. TV Remote doesn't light up in the dark like at other Hilton's in the area. Front desk watches carefully as you shop in convenience store, which makes you feel uncomfortable while shopping. The halls are very long and you have to navigate through a long hallway to reach elevators for the higher floors. The rooms don't have much natural light, which makes u feel confined. Front desk was also eager to help others behind me first when I asked to change my reservation for next week. She told me to call from the room, and she couldn't even help me when I called. She transferred me to the general hilton number to input my company discount code.

Maintenance and cleaning issues. Have stayed here 4 times over the last 2 months for work and these were my issues. 1) Three maintenance calls for the same things. Frosted over fridge that freezes everything and a very noisy ac. Chief Engineer told front desk manager everything was fine. 2) Housekeeping: I requested service today after 3 days at the hotel. They left me a dirty towel, didn't clean off the counters or microwave. Looks like all they did was make the bed, take the trash. 3) Hotel Bar/Restaurant Manager allowed patrons to smoke cigars on the patio at a non smoking hotel with no smoking signs prevalent. When I asked him about it he said, "I told them they could". When I called the front desk, manager, she said smoking is not allowed and I haven't seen it happening since then. Hilton is usually better than this. But, 4 stays and several issues later, tells me there are systemic management issues at this one.

We stayed here this past weekend for a soccer tournament. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. The hotel seem nice. I know a number of my fellow team parents had problems at check-in. A lost reservation that took forever to correct. An extra night on a reservation that needed to be emailed because the front desk couldn't take care of it? But my check-in went smoothly. And I LOVED the cookies. I ran into a problem when we were getting ready for bed and my son is adjusting his pillow in an attempt to get comfortable. I see something on the pillow and tell him NOT to put his head down on the pillow. I take a closer look and it was blood! DROPS OF BLOOD ON THE PILLOW!! I pull the two of them off the bed and start pulling and checking all the bedding. The rest of the bedding seems fine but we were pretty "skeeved" out. I call the front desk and tell them what happened. They say someone will be up right away with a pillow replacement AND to take the bloody pillow away. I waited and waited and NO ONE EVER SHOWED. I couldn't believe it. Housekeeping did replace the pillow the following day but clearly, the management at this hotel does not feel that dirty bedding with a previous guests' bodily fluids is something that needs to be addressed in a timely manner. I strongly disagree.

Well this was unexpected.... First thing's first.... THE COOKIE!! when you check into DT, you are given a huge warm walnut and chocolate chip cookie that will make any bad day immediately turn to rainbows and hearts! I kid you not. Staff The staff was friendly and very helpful. They went above and beyond to fulfill every request and then some. I even got an upgrade....without asking. Rooms I expected a good room but i certainly didnt expect modern and comfy. I've never stayed at a DR before but I'll certainly make an exception to this one. The room was equipped with 2 robes, slippers, Evelyn and Crabtree toiletries and much more. Food. Room service food came from the Omalleys Pub which is next door to the restaurant. I ordered the blackened Alaskan salmon with Broccollini and rice du jour. Let me start out by saying, it was smart for the hotel to outsource this aspect of the business to someone else. At the same time, someone needs to give Omalley constructive criticism on the flavor of their food. If Rice du Jour is what they call bland tasteless rice then Rice du Jour it is!!! The Salmon was a bit too overcooked for my liking but it was seasoned well. I wasn't impressed with the Broccollini either. Normal broccoli would have been better.

I gave two stars because the room was nice but small and delicious double tree cookies but the front desk wasn't very friendly at all I called for towels 2 and even went down stair and ask them and still did not receive any towels. I just stuck it out with what I had .. I probably won't come back here ever again cause I can get way nicer better service at much cheaper . ..P.S they just renovated about 3 weeks ago so it smell very dusty and the rugs have pieces of dry wall and other weird dust every where

Wish that they had microwave or safe inside of room. The room was clean. The bed was comfy but pillows were hard. I woke up with a cramp in my neck and upper back.

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents - although, this isn't entirely based on hearsay…read morebecause I have stayed in this hotel a few times myself. As a family, we adore this particular Ritz Carlton in Tyson's Corner. It's probably our favorite hotel collectively - you can't beat the amenities, the service, the staff, and the location. My parents have consistently gone back to this hotel for a yearly weekend getaway consistently for nearly 20 years, continuing to choose that hotel despite the ever-changing landscape due to COVID. Therefore, it is with great disappointment that I write this negative review about this hotel because it has truly served us well over the years. My parents booked a weekend trip from November 14th through the 17th in celebration of my mom's birthday. Unfortunately, my mother came down with COVID-pnemonia that week, showing symptoms on the evening of Monday Nov. 12th with an official diagnosis by the evening of Tuesday Nov. 13th. Realizing that they could not travel under such conditions, my father canceled the booking for their weekend trip via the website on Wednesday, Nov. 14th. While he was able to cancel the trip, the company withheld a 500 dollar, non-refundable charge because it was 'not within the three day limit' as stated on their website. Now the problem here is this - what constitutes as three days? Are we talking a full 36 hours here or are we talking three days as counting by fingers? Because the trip was canceled Wednesday morning with a 4pm Friday arrival - Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are three days. I hate to cherrypick the Bible (although it is common practice these days), but if we're going by Jesus' rules, he died on a Friday afternoon and was resurrected on a Sunday morning, and it constitutes as three days by church law - but apparently, this timeline is not good enough for the Ritz Carlton. Believing this was unfair, my father called the hotel themselves and explained the situation - they are longtime customers, my mom was nearly hospitalized due to Covid, they had a doctor's note as proof, is there anything they could do to lessen this exorbitant cancellation fee? The staff's answer was essentially "apologies, but no." The staff said my father should have called the hotel directly instead of canceling it online and they could have done more for them, and that it actually wasn't three days but more like two and a half, and the charge would unfortunately stay. Now, we understand that hotels are subject to inflation and economic woes due to the state of the world, and some sort of penalty due to the cancellation is understandable - but let's look at the facts here. My mother was diagnosed with a highly contagious virus, and they did the right thing by canceling their trip a few days before as opposed to risking several people in the hotel. This was not a morning-of cancellation - this was a cancellation on Wednesday for a trip that technically wouldn't begin until check-in time at 4pm on Friday. Was there absolutely nothing the management staff could have done to rectify or soften this blow? If removing the fee was out of the question, there are other things the management could have done instead of saying "sorry, not sorry" about the 500 dollar charge. They could have offered a voucher, or a credit for rebooking a different weekend, or offered free dinner at one of their restaurants - something to make up for this loss. My parents would have accepted any of these things - because really, THEY are the ones missing out here - no trip, a terrible illness, and out 500 dollars because they did the right thing by canceling. To me, this is just poor business practice. It is important to reward loyal customers, and the Ritz-Carlton is supposed to be the height of luxury - and yet, apparently the 500 dollars is more important than maintaining a 20-year long relationship. It's truly disappointing. The irony is that the Ritz Carlton has a '$2000 rule' to make guests happy, but apparently they need my parents' 500 dollars in order to make this golden rule work for other customers.

The lobby was also vast and beautiful - I didn't get to explore as much as I would have liked! So the room was fantastic! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves but there was a mini couch, chair and desk, nice queen sized bed kitchenette area and decent bathroom with the room overlooking the courtyard with food trucks and mini golf course.
