This will be my NYC garage. I've been looking for years for an honest and fair place to take my car work. I could never find one so I would always try to save my work for when I travel to Florida because I have such a mechanic there, but now I'm going to Tyrone32 for anything I need done when I'm in NYC. The reason: Orlando. I had a check engine light on. I had been calling around asking different shops if they run complimentary computer scans and general pricing for evap system issues, as I knew that was likely the culprit for my light. A few of the shops I called were kind of rude over the phone and didn't really want to spend any time answering questions. I came across Tyrone32 as I was driving around my new neighborhood and decided to call. I explained my situation to Orlando and he was so nice, listened to my thoughts, asked me some questions, and said just to drop in and he would check it out. He came out and ran a complimentary scan for me, checked out the car, and answered all of my questions. Orlando's customer service was amazing. After I left and arrived home, I noticed that a center button on my Jeep rim had popped out. I called Orlando to see if it had popped out somewhere at the shop and sent him a picture. He said that he couldn't find one that matched at the shop, but that he had a few extras laying around that were slightly different and he would just give me one if I came by--I mean how rare is it that someone just gives you something because they have an extra and you are in need? Super rare. Can't say enough about how great his customer service made me feel and again, I will be exclusively getting maintenance on my car here. read more

Orlando and Tomas are very honest and knowledgeable mechanics. Had multiple problems with my 2002 Honda Civic (check engine light and overheating). They got to the root of the problems very quickly and resolved all the issues. I would highly recommend Tyrone 32!!! read more

When you move into a new neighborhood, finding a reliable mechanic is a real comfort. This place -- with Orlando at the helm and Tomas at his side -- is a gem. I came in for a state inspection, and didn't expect to hear any bad news, but was pleased to get an honest evaluation of brake work that would be needed in the future. No catastrophizing, no attempts to sell me costly unneeded repairs. A clean waiting room with new magazines (imagine that!) and the most polite friendly treatment. I have been going here since I moved to Riverdale in 2007. When ownership changed hands I was concerned about being over-charged (single woman goes into repair shop alone.). Orlando is super transparent and professional. If a repair is needed I do my research and Tyrone listens to what I have to say and provides feedback/recommendations. I've been a loyal customer to another place for many years... and I still like them for certain things; however, I think they're way too busy and can't/don't give the attention that some jobs need. I'd literally asked that place on four different occasions about a noise I heard... but it was never found or fixed or anything... I kinda let it go, but when it started up again... I went to Tyrone 32 and they located the noise and fixed it in FIVE MINUTES. I sh!t you not!!! Unreal. Then they took care of a couple other lingering problems I had for a lot less $ than I'd been quoted at other places. And did it within hours. This place is great! I read the reviews but you just never know, and I was worried that anywhere I went I'd be taken advantage of for being a woman who couldn't fix something simple in her car, so I was cautiously optimistic going in there today. I cannot recommend this service shop highly enough! I give it more than 5 stars. Driving to NYC from Boston with a friend on the Henry Hudson parkway, a warning light came on indicating that one of my "run flat" tires was compromised. With the help of two very good samaritans, we found our way to this service center. The manager, Orlando Rosado, was exceptional ...friendly and, most importantly, honest and fair. He quickly and efficiently located the problem ....a screw as well as a crack in the tire. He could have easily convinced us (2 women) that we needed to buy a new tire. Instead, he offered to first try a repair and plug in the tire at minimal cost. The repair solved the problem and we were quickly on our way into the city. The entire detour only cost us about 50 minutes of our time. A truly exceptional Bronx experience. read more

This place has consistently delivered the most incredible customer service experience, way above and beyond expectations, that I have ever had in my life.....automotive service or otherwise. Ever heard of an auto center that would rent a tow truck to drive 200 miles to go get your stranded car, bring it back to their shop, and fix it for you immediately? You have now. You know that finding a mechanic you trust can be very difficult. I live in NY but always went back to my mechanic in Philly for anything I needed because he had earned my trust over many years. One day, my starter went, so I couldn't get the car to Philly. I had to go somewhere local. I was extremely lucky to find Orlando and Tyrone 32 just down the street from my home. Over the last year, Orlando and his team have provided stellar work, fair prices, total honesty and the best customer service I could ever imagine. A few weeks ago, I had once in a lifetime customer service experience that I have been telling family and friends about ever since. I was driving back to New York from South Jersey when I heard the sound of a part coming loose under my hood, and my car immediately started overheating. I pulled over and got the car towed to a local shop in the area. They told me that the power steering pump that had been installed by Tyrone 32 had a pulley that was not screwed on correctly, and that it literally flew off the car. Since this part is connected to the cooling system, it not only caused steering issues but also caused the car to overheat. They said this was caused either by the mechanic not screwing the pulley on correctly or that they got a defective piece from the manufacturer. It certainly wasn't by fault and these folks said I should not have to pay for it. They told me to expect major resistance from the mechanic because it is obviously not in their best interest to take responsibly for anything. When I went to Orlando at Tyrone32 the next morning, I was prepared for this type of conversation but Orlando's response was the complete opposite of that. He said that they got the part from the manufacturer with the pulley already screwed on. So, clearly he could have blamed it on the manufacturer. Instead, he took full responsibility and said he would take care of everything and that I would be charged zero for whatever needed to be done (which included replacing a melted radiator, the power steering pump, and several other things that added up as a result of the car overheating). Here's the icing on the cake....Orlando took it upon himself to personally get a tow truck and drive 200 miles after the shop closed to personally get my car, bring it back and fix it. As promised, they fixed everything that had to be fixed at no charge within two days and even threw in a car wash and oil change for free. When I told him how blown away I was by this experience, he just said "you're my customer. I have to take care of you and make sure you and your wife are able to get to work in the morning". I tell this story to anyone who will listen. They are all blown away and say this type of customer service is unheard of. I hope this means tons of new business for Orlando and Tyrone 32, not only because they deserve it but because all of us deserve a trustworthy and dedicated mechanic like this. read more

When a relative had an issue with an imported vehicle in Riverdale, and didn't know where to turn, a friend recommended calling Tyrone 32 on W230th. I am very happy that I was able to connect with Orlando to facilitate the repair for my relative, as she was very happy with the end result and the ease of mind to get everything situated. Thank you very much for speaking with me from a distance and getting everything scheduled, since I was not able to deal with the issue in person due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
