Just a quick recommendation for the ladies, try to avoid Saturdays. I wish they would place a sign for some of the gentlemen that apparently feel uncomfortable and try to rush the females. I'm always greeted by name and often if Mike sees me filling up he waves hello. They revamped their snack shop which is now loaded with anything you may need, from snacks, drinks, iPhone chargers, lottery, interior auto accessories, fidget spinners, etc. During the holidays they even make cute scratch ticket packs in holiday envelopes with gift tags on them at NO additional cost! It's always clean in there too! Gas prices are the same whether you use cash or credit. Service work is always done in a timely fashion and Mike is honest and reputable. He's not in it to empty your pockets. He gives his honest opinion about what needs to be done and works with you to ensure you are happy. I had a hit n run while sleeping in which my driver side mirror was broken. Since this was a leased vehicle being returned soon I was desperate to get it repaired asap. Ford wanted over $1000 to replace the mirror. I went to Mike for an estimate and he helped me out and charged much less than my own insurance deductible and Ford's estimate. I honestly don't even think the man charged me labor because I saw the invoice for what he paid just for the parts and special white opal paint. I was beyond grateful and you wouldn't even know the mirror was replaced! This is a great family owned business and I don't care if so and so is 5cents a gallon cheaper down the road. I'd rather come here and know I'm dealing with a reputable family and business. Not to mention when Lyndhurst had a sweep of gas inspections to ensure there was no cheating customers of the fuel they bought, Mike was in full compliance unlike his Exxon competitor down the road per our local newspaper!

I dropped it off just hoping for a quick inspection. He was very busy which actually made me feel good about the place. He was nice enough to let me leave it and he got to it within a couple of hours. He showed me that the back brake pads needed to be replaced instead of just telling me. It was explained to me in detail what was happening and why with the brakes. In my opinion this a very honest and stand up place of business. I wish I lived closer because I would make this my new go to mechanic.

The symptoms were so obvious that my wife even diagnosed it after quickly looking that it was a bad alternator. After these shade tree mechanics did their inspection, the said that it was 100% a transmission failure. And that to replace would be $4500 in parts and labor. Of course we had our suspicions, so we had it towed from there to our local mechanic in Rockland County. Turns out it was just the alternator after all. $550 for a new alternator with labor included. These guys are either the most stupid, incompetent mechanics on earth or shameless crooks who take advantage of people they think don't know any better. So either way I hope I can pay them back with a warning to you all. To mechanics have a obligation to be fair, honest and ethical. I truly hope I hurt their business. What the did was despicable. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! My daughter is a single mom with a disability. That 4500 vs 550 repair bill was the difference between her giving the car back to the bank vs being able to afford to keep it.
