This is our go to for not only gas, but repair work. Mike is awesome and his sons help run the business as well. I'm always greeted by name and often if Mike sees me filling up he waves hello. They revamped their snack shop which is now loaded with anything you may need, from snacks, drinks, iPhone chargers, lottery, interior auto accessories, fidget spinners, etc. During the holidays they even make cute scratch ticket packs in holiday envelopes with gift tags on them at NO additional cost! It's always clean in there too! Gas prices are the same whether you use cash or credit. Service work is always done in a timely fashion and Mike is honest and reputable. He's not in it to empty your pockets. He gives his honest opinion about what needs to be done and works with you to ensure you are happy. I had a hit n run while sleeping in which my driver side mirror was broken. Since this was a leased vehicle being returned soon I was desperate to get it repaired asap. Ford wanted over $1000 to replace the mirror. I went to Mike for an estimate and he helped me out and charged much less than my own insurance deductible and Ford's estimate. I honestly don't even think the man charged me labor because I saw the invoice for what he paid just for the parts and special white opal paint. I was beyond grateful and you wouldn't even know the mirror was replaced! This is a great family owned business and I don't care if so and so is 5cents a gallon cheaper down the road. I'd rather come here and know I'm dealing with a reputable family and business. Not to mention when Lyndhurst had a sweep of gas inspections to ensure there was no cheating customers of the fuel they bought, Mike was in full compliance unlike his Exxon competitor down the road per our local newspaper! read more

Fast service friendly staff quick response. Came to this shop considering good reviews on yelp and I was very happy with their service. They could not take me as a walk in since the wait was about 2 hours, but they gave an appointment time and they were right on time and the whole thing took about 20 min. Car failed inspection on engine light, emissions problem. Went to 3 different local mechanics. Prices quoted was anything from $500- $1500 citing problems from solenoid to replacing catalytic converter. One mechanic that is very popular in the area insisted that I pay $150 diagnostic test before performing work. I found Ridge Exxon by NJ MVC pamphlet . It cost a total of $199 with tax. Mike the owner is one heck of an honest man. I see why all his service bays are always full. BTW you need an appointment. Thank You Mike!!! read more

Today is one of my busiest days at work but I think it'll will be very ungrateful of me if I didn't do this review NOW. I have an old 1997 Honda Accord which drives great but had the check engine light on and obviously when the inspection was due, it failed. Since I'm regular at Pep Boys, I took it to them but they couldn't fix it. Then I researched and found that Mike's auto repair had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. He is a perfect gentleman, opens the garage at 8 am sharp or maybe earlier and is always welcoming. He cleared the engine light issue in a couple of hours and informed that we need to finish a drive cycle before he does the inspection. He didnt charge us and said that he would do it when we come back for inspection. I mean, who does that? Unless you are Mike and you're super confident of your work. Anyways, long story short, no matter how much we drove, we couldnt complete the drive cycle becoz one of his assistants would check and let Mike know that it's still not ready for inspection. Mike suggested that he needs to change a part that's failing the car in completing the drive cycle and that would cost us $700 approx. My car is not worth more than $2500 so imagine the nightmare I had, to spend $700. After discussing with my husband, we decided to go ahead and informed Mike to fix it as cheaply as he can. He called in just an hour and said that we would not need any part replacement and the whole inspection and repair was done in $200 bucks. Inspection was due Oct 31st but every thing is now done ahead of time. Thanks Mike for fixing our car. Go to this guy and you'll not repent. Very reliable! read more

Amazing service they have on servicing vehicles. Very great customer service. They would take care of your car as much as they take care of their customers. They would only recommend what your car needs. Nothing more nothing less(unlike most of other places they would try to push you do un necessary things). Their facility is nice and clean and reasonable price. The best part is they treat you like as if they are you're family not like going to (most) dealership they treat you as customer which they only see you as $! P.S. It's my second year going to their facility and really waited some time to write up review to make sure they are consistent. read more

I had come here on a recommendation from a friend who told they are honest and reliable. After a horrendous oil change service at Valvoline in Bergenfield, I went there to see if my battery was bad and if I needed to change it. Turns out, it worked fine and the other place just wanted to rip me off. I appreciate then being honest and telling me that there was nothing wrong with my car. And today, I needed my brakes changed and they did it in less than an hour. Talk about fast service! If I ever have any car problems, I know I'm going to the one and only Ridge Exxon. Terrible place! If I could give it no stars I would! I took my Mazda here to have my brakes replaced. They had it back to me the next day. Great I thought..well nope. I had to take it back to them 4 times bc the brakes were still screeching. A month later and getting absolutely no where with them I took it to a different mechanic and what do you know....the brake job that ridge Exxon did was terrible. They switched my brakes so my left were on my right and visa versa. They also didn't put on the clips. For simple oil changes sure bring it here.. But do yourself a favor and find another mechanic for any other type of work. read more
