We bought a used car and needed an end-to-end inspection. There was a short window for returning the car if it had any issues. I brought it in on a Wednesday and they were able to squeeze us in for an appointment on Saturday. The inspection only took two hours. They test drove it and checked for previous bodywork as well. Great service and very affordable! read more

My car was sitting for two years and I knew it needed some maintenance to become operable again. I had it towed to M&M auto after their shop came recommended to me. A day after, I got a call from Mark who said that the car was good to go and that it had no issues for driving. I was surprised and happy to hear that. I paid $160 and picked up the car soon after and started driving it back down to Brooklyn. I quickly learned that M&M had spent no time working on my car. There was a range of issues. There was a scraping sound of the inside of the bumper falling off whenever I drove. The car was in desperate need of an oil change. The brakes were so worn down that they were unsafe for driving and the car rattled whenever I drove. On top of all these issues, the car had tires at 10 PSI (they are normally supposed to be at 33 PSI). Finally I learned that the car's horn didn't even work when I needed it most on my drive back down to the city. I called multiple times frustrated about what I even paid for. I felt lied to when Mark told me that my car was good to go when it clearly was unsafe to drive and wouldn't pass state inspection in its state. I felt gaslit by the woman on the phone who told me that there was no issue and that Mark would call me to tell me he looked over everything. He never called. I am really frustrated because I was ripped off and had to take the car to get significant work at different shops throughout Brooklyn because Mark overlooked so many glaring errors. Bottom line: whether you have a beater or a Benz, do not take your car here. Unless you want to burn your money. read more

This place is ran by a theiving cheat named Paul. I brought my BMW in to have it serviced in December of 2024 and my car is still at the shop. They havve no idea of what they're doing or how to make repairs. I gave Paul $3000 along with the parts to repair my vehicle which was to change a sensor and connect a hose that was loose.. Paul admitted that he was unable to get the check engine sensor off permanently as he kept telling me that after he drove my car illegally it keeps coming back on. Then he tried to change the terms of our deal after he already had my money and didn't fix my car. Now I havve to sue the business to get my car back and the money I paid along with the parts he claims he put in my car. read more

Caught a flat tire on my way upstate to the casino and hit the jackpot coming across this shop. They went above and beyond to help me since I was stranded. They call multiple different tire shops to find the correct fit for my car. The staff made me feel very welcomed and at home. They did amazing work and would definitely recommend this shop to anyone. You can tell they really care about their customers and if I could I've leave a 10 star review. read more

Brought in my '05 Prius today. M & M quickly diagnosed the issue (worn out wheel bearing), fixed the problem the same day, and honored their estimate even when it took more time than anticipated. They then took the time to explain what happened and gave me useful advice on future maintenance. I'm new to Pelham and it's great to already have an excellent mechanic I can count on. read more

Made an appointment to have an inspection done while I waited, 1st thing in the morning, should have been an easy task, since the car only has a little over 10,000 miles on it, walked inside, checked in with the receptionist , who was anything but friendly, had a sour , miserable way about her, walked back outside to my car, that I left running in the same place that it was inspected the year prior, and was told by the owner (Paul) to move my F_cking car because he was running late and needed to set the yard up, I was then greeted with a few more of his sour remarks until I got out of the car and confronted him on his attitude, he then told me that he only sees the car once a year, and that he doesn't need my business, and to leave, which I was planning on doing anyway, since I had already waited 20 minutes ,waiting for him to get his stuff together, while he juggled cars around the lot. Bottom line is, some people don't deserve to make money, and this Guy is one of them, I actually feel sorry for this guy, it must be miserable being him. Made an appointment somewhere else, which is what I should have done to begin with. Will never recommend, or do any business here with either of my vehicles again, read more

A mechanic with a 5 star overall yelp review should tell you everything you need to know. They are amazing. M and M is so good I drive an hour out of my way to get my car fixed here. Thank you for saving me so much time and money M and M!! read more

I have tended to use the dealership for repairs and service, but I have always wanted to find a local garage I could trust and use, partly for reasons of economy and partly because I believe in supporting local businesses. However, I have had some bad experiences with local garages in Pelham (see my review of Bencivengo auto service in Pelham for example). So finding M&M has been a relief - a real breath of fresh air. The owner, Paul, is smart and funny and down-to-earth. He comes across as honest and fair; I have yet to feel as though he's tried to sell me on something I didn't need, and I have been pleased with all my transactions with M&M. Recommended. read more

M & M Auto Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Pelham, New York

I had a check engine light for a month and kept putting it off until the last minute when my inspection sticker was going to expire. I needed a new mechanic closer to my new job. Checking out Yelp showed me M & M. I actually remember M & M when it was at it's old location when I was a kid. My parents use them so why not me? They're incredible helpful and friendly people. They even loved my yorkie who I brought in to drop off after at my parents to dogsit. I came in without an appointment and they still made space for me. Paul was honest about what's wrong and how to fix it. He gave me the paperwork, an estimate and an appointment. After all the work, I feel like they gave me a different car. It's quieter and runs better than before! I got my money's worth. My car passed with flying colors. read more

Friendliest service I've ever had from a mechanic. They did a great job on my car and gave it to me straight. He told me my battery life was low, and told me I could do it myself if I wanted or he could just take care of it right then. Great place! read more

A few months ago, I went on a Sunday for last-minute PrePurchase Inspection on a '16 Audi S7 before they close. They handled everything very well, walked me through his own inspection to give a better understanding of why the vehicle is good, and an opinion on if the purchase would be worth it or not. Very honest, and knowledgable folks. read more

Fiancé went here with her car and came back with great reviews. They took great care of her, didn't try to rip her off and treated her with both respect and compliments. Paul, the owner was courteous, explained things easily and clearly and didn't do anything that wasn't necessary. They were beyond fairly priced and have definitely created two new loyal clients out of us. Apparently the mechanics there are also "super attractive" as well, so buyer beware . Overall, great experience and happy we found them. read more

Trustworthy and thorough. Was recommended by an acquaintance and walked away more than satisfied. They walked me through my car's problems and didn't push any unnecessary parts. I'm always skeptical of auto repair shops, but this place has my vote! Would recommend. read more

I just moved up to the Mt Vernon area from Long Island and M&M was recommended by a friend. All I can say is that these guys are incredible! I didn't think auto service like this existed anymore! Wow, just WOW! Paul was extremely helpful, reliable and resourceful with our car inspections for my car and my girlfriend's car! He explained everything in great detail and informed us of where he smelled any "smoke" on the horizon for potential future problems. He took the time to really go over things in detail, plus show us on the cars any potential issues. Then he and his crew did a top notch job replacing a motor head on my Ford Focus (no Ford jokes please) to cut down on the noise level. He was on the money and on time with everything! Again his prices are extremely fair and competitive. I will be using M&M for a very long time. read more

I found M&M on yelp after suddenly realized that my inspection sticker was due 3 days ago, got all stressed because it's a Saturday and the auto shop out in long island I usually go is closed, ugh :"/ ... Paul answered the phone, once he found out my situation, he squeezed me into his busy schedule (thank you again, Paul :))... There were a few customers when I got there, they seemed very happy with Paul's work ... after a short wait, Paul inspected my car thoroughly, adjusted one of the wheels and replaced the stickers after he did a closely clean on my windshield glass lol ... I was in and out within half hour, so so relieved and so happy. :) It's always great to meet someone who truly loves his/her job, and I can tell Paul is a one of them. From now on, M&M will be my go-to auto service shop! and strongly recommend to other car owners. :) PS, thank to those fellow yelpers for spending time writing reviews! You are the reason that I found reliable and good service!! read more

I was caught off guard with a flat tire on my way up to work. I filled up the tire temporarily with air and after dropping off my girlfriend at her office I stumbled upon this service station. With no appointment or prior visit, I took a chance and was very pleasantly surprised. Paul was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although I planned to purchase my replacement spare at a lower price competitor I decided to return and give my business back to this service station, simply because of their customer care. If I am still commuting in the area, I'll be sure to use M & M again for my car servicing needs. read more

Pretty disappointed, won't use again, had my bmw wheel alignment done here, car was worse off than before, kept pulling to the left and steering wheel off centre, went back and had it redone but still pulling to the left said it was due to the tires not happy with this at all, went to BMW dealership and had it done there and they got it corrected and now drives perfectly read more

My husband and I were driving to Connecticut for our 8th anniversary dinner when our car broke down on the Hutchinson parkway near the new Rochelle exit. So we scrambled and called the closest mechanic that might still be open (it was 6pm). I luckily got on the phone with the owner and he was kind enough to to stay late and fix our car so we could make it to our dinner. All the employees we met were so kinda and generous with their knowledge and time, the owner was even planning on not charging us for his service (however we insisted on paying) but they seem incredibly fair and honest! Awesome folks and great business read more

First time here but I know I will be back. Before discussing anything related to the car the customer service and comfortability alone is 5 stars. I know jack squat about cars but when Paul inspected my car he explained and showed me every single little detail and it for sure builds a level of trust. Even minor things he suggested I eventually replace, he never try to sell to me or force upon me. Honesty, laughter, and communication makes this a 5 star shop to get your car serviced. Thank you Paul. read more

I had a great experience at M&M. I needed an inspection because I recently moved. I lived in NJ all my life so I never went to an auto shop for an inspection. Paul was so helpful. Paul and Nico are terrific. Great service. They don't do the expensive quick fix, they take the time to investigate the underlying issue. For example. Our BMW had a problem with the headlights flashing from regular to bright on their own intermittently. BMW wanted to charge us $1500 for each headlight to replace a computer module. Nico found a wire that needed to be grounded and charged us $75. Finding an honest mechanic is priceless. In terms of the woman who answers the phone, her name is Debbie and she is very nice (contrary to what another reviewer has said. read more

I took my car here for the state safety inspection. This place has great friendly staff and, most importantly, it has honest mechanics! I've had shops telling me I need $2000 worth of repairs in order to pass the inspection before (even though my car was in a great shape). This time, I only had to replace the wind wipers (which I knew about) and that's it! Highly recommend this place for your car needs! read more

Found out today that the reviews here are all accurate about this garage. All-around great experience. Same day oil change was no prob for them, even w the holiday rush, they were done in an hour. Brought the car in for a wheel alignment after I got 4 new tires and wheel repairs at another shop. The first time around the alignment was not successful, car was pulling to the right. I called the shop and Paul told me to bring it back in same day. We tried swapping the tires left and right (different front and back tire sizes). The car was still pulling to the right. The car was put back on the lift, and it was discovered that something happened during the initial alignment where the front left wheel was not done right. It was corrected and I was out driving again. Its a few days later and the car feels fine. Although the multiple trips were annoying, they handled it with professionalism and made sure my problem was attended to and corrected. We dont live in a perfect world and mistakes do happen. My brother, father and myself have been looking for a new shop and we will be bringing our cars in here for small issues to see how they are taken care of. Future reviews to follow. read more

Amazing auto service center. Found them on Yelp when tire went flat on way home from NYC. Called Saturday at 12:30 and even though they close at 1 they took us in and assessed the tire. I'm a longtime customer with a 13-year old GM car and I highly recommend M&M Auto. The owner Paul is a master mechanic and he has a team of top-notch mechanics. It's a very busy operation. He's very knowledgeable as you would want and expect your mechanic to be, with a real passion for the industry and business. He also has an impressive memory which, in my opinion, is part of the reason the shop runs so smoothly. I always drive away from M&M with the confidence and peace of mind that my "older" car has been serviced properly, whether the job was a scheduled oil change/inspection or a complicated diagnosis and repair, and for a great price. As my car ages and things suddenly go wrong, Paul and Nico, his number two, have come to the rescue several times in the last year and a half. All the members of the M&M team are trustworthy, honest, reliable, and real pros. To end where I began, I couldn't recommend M&M more highly. read more

My car had an issue with the brakes that sounded scary. I pulled off the highway a mile from M&M and was able to slowly make it there. I looked at the other reviews, which gave me confidence, and they were absolutely right. My only issue with this place is that it is not closer to where I live - otherwise they would become "my mechanic". Heck, I may still make them that. The service here exceeded my expectations, not only because of the friendly staff, but also because of the educational transparency in understanding what happened with my car. I am definitely not an expert in cars, so this is what set my experience here apart from others. Transparency, honesty, and fair pricing is key. I felt I got that here. 5 stars! read more

M&M is a great service station, and the Owner Paul in my opinion is a an expert on cars. I have been trying for 3 years to figure out a particular problem with my car, I have also spent lots of money with other mechanics who could not find the problem I decided to go to M&M based on my own research and reading reviews. Paul took my complaint about my car very seriously, because I began to believe that the problem with my car was all in my head . But Paul took to the time to assess my car based on what I had told him at no cost . He and his staff were then able to find the problem and now it is fixed.all at a reasonable price. I am so happy. I will go back again. Thank you Paul. read more

The owner, Paul Mueller, helped me in a jam and I wasn't even in his shop or a customer. I parked my car in a shopping center space and, when I tried to back out, heard a grinding noise. He ran over yelling "stop". He explained that my bumper had caught on the curb and offered to lift the car as I backed out! When that didn't work and I had torn off the bumper, he and his wife offered to drive me home, wrote out the damage to tell my repair shop, and moved the car so it could be more easily towed. If I didn't live 40 miles from his shop I would be his customer for life. read more
