Coming from New Jersey, my work vehicle was registered in New York so I had to bring it in for an Inspection. I was very familiar with White Plains so I made an appointment a week in advance at this location. Excellent communication throughout the process. The vehicle was ready earlier than promised which was an added bonus. They must have an excellent reputation because they were very busy. There was a Dunkin Donuts 150 yards away and it's a nice walk to downtown White Plains if you wanted to kill time. Rude and overpriced! Called to get a price quote and manager or owner who answered was rude and quoted $158 for labor to only put in front brake pads since I had new pads already. After quoting that for a simple job, the person had nerve to catch an attitude and hang up. Poor customer service, wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I took my car here to get a NY State Inspection. They were nice enough on the phone. When we arrived their space is so jammed it was nearly impossible to drive two cars into the area, one car was being inspected and the other was taking the first driver home. When we arrived we were questioned by the gas attendant why we entered the space when it was so crowded. I informed him that we had an appointment for an inspection. The other guys were just as rude, making snide comments about moving our cars around in the ridiculously jammed space. The experience was really annoying. The work was done on time, so I should give them props for that. But the guys that work there treat the customers very poorly. More hassle then it's worth. read more

He fit me in for an inspection and oil change even though it was obvious that he was pretty busy. My fiancé and I had one really challenging situation on our hands when we lost our only working key to our old 1999 SAAB. All I can say is, never, ever, ever do this. But if you do, Tom and the crew at Gedney auto solved this really tough situation for us and at a reasonable price far lower than a "Saab Dealership" (which aren't really that anymore since Saab went bankrupt). Tom kept us informed every step of the way and literally saved us from having to junk our whole car because we lost the one working key. Just be careful in the cramped gas station parking area.
