Atlantic Auto is FANTASTIC!! Vic and the guys are super knowledgeable and great with cars. I've had my complete suspension replaced as well as the complete brake system, front and back. Victor really cares about his customers and it shows. I recommend these guys to everyone who needs work done on their vehicle. Fair and honest. What more can you ask for? I will always bring my car to Atlantic Auto. read more

service was terrible. I was stranded at a gas station near the shop. I called them. they tried to charge me 150 to tow the car and 450 to do my shift cable because it "snapped". I told him I wasn't from the area and couldn't afford to stay at a hotel and wait till the morning for the part. he told me to I had to wait.something threw me off and I got a mobile mechanic. turns out all I needed was the bolt for it. they lied and tried to rip me off. read more

I've been going here for years. Trustworthy and fair prices. They have always been able to take care of my needs.

Dropped in unexpectedly for a rear brake job...they're fantastic. They accommodated me immediately and did a great job at a good rate. Highly recommend. read more

Don't believe Yelp proposition, coz as you see they are sponsored. Went there for a noise in my Nissan Rogue. They charged me 500$ and nothings ever changed! After that I explained it to one of my local friends and he laughed and told me "they are worst in the region " read more

Victor and his team were a huge help for me when I was driving in from out of state and my car broke down. They fit me into their schedule and got my car back on the road the same day. Kind and professional, they got me taken care of quickly. I appreciate their willingness to work me into their schedule on short notice. Would highly recommend! read more

Asked for only an oil change and was charged $85 for it, including $5 for new washer fluid which was not asked for/they did not say they would be doing. When asked about the washer fluid they said $5 wasn't a big deal, but when asked to remove the charge because it wasn't originally disclosed, they took it off the main part of the bill and added it again as a separate item. And yesterday, 3 weeks/a few hundred miles after the oil change, I got an alert in my car that the oil needed to be replaced again. read more

Fantastic experience. Was driving through the area and needed NY inspection done. Called the day prior and was in and out in 15 min. Standard $37 charge. read more

This has been my family's go-to service for over 20 years, and has provided all of our mechanic-related needs. Victor, and all other employees, have always been friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to any car troubles. I also appreciate that they take time to explain what needs to get done immediately, and anything else I will need to pay attention to. I always feel taken care of and would recommend this shop to close friends. read more

Came in for an inspection, service was very quick and efficient - didn't take longer than 25 minutes. I will definitely return in the future, this place is amazing! read more

This another one of those "diamonds in the rough." We've been coming here for many years now. We can call Victor any time and get an appointment without a problem. He's honest, fast and very affordable. A pretty hard combination to beat. If you need a good mechanic, look no further. read more

Victor and his crew did a great job replacing brakes on my Audi S4 at a reasonable price and using only the parts that I asked for. One year warranty assures that he will back his work and its a big plus. I will take my other car there for repairs in the future too. I would recommend this place. read more

Called in. They said come in one hour and my inspection would take 15 minutes. Got there in one hour. Had me wait in my car for 45 minutes. I asked how much longer it would be before they could see me and they told me that I have to wait and it doesn't matter what they said on the phone. Guy then yelled at me and said I wasn't special. Terrible customer service. Do not go here!! read more

DON'T GO HERE! Unbelievably horrible experience. I called beforehand to get a quote on the price of inspecting my car. The guy on the phone says "$34," which sounds great for me. I get to the garage, and the same guy says "$34, no problem." When the inspection is over, the same guy comes in and says that they'll charge me $80 (no additional inspection had been done or parts replaced)! I told him what happened and he argued with me the whole time, finally bringing down the price to $60 (as if he were being generous making me pay $26 more than he originally quoted me). Classic bait and switch scam artists here folks. Go somewhere else and save your money. TL;DR - Don't trust the quotes, these guys will scam you. read more

Good work & customer service, but very overpriced. I brought my car in for a power window motor and an oil change. Victor was pleasant to deal with and gave me a ride to work. The work was done in a timely fashion. While they charged fairly for labor, they charged $150 for the motor, which from all sources I can find (including a local auto parts store I called), runs $40-50. I would have been comfortable with them marking it up to as much as $75, but $150 seems like extortion. In the end, I needed the work done immediately and so agreed to their price. In summary, they are pleasant and did good work, but buyer beware as to the cost of what they install. read more

In life, you need a great doctor, hardware store & mechanic. These keep you, your home and car going! Not having these essentials, makes moving to a new area an already big ordeal, even bigger. MECHANIC: expert, available, honest, reliable, creative, cost effective = The Holy Grail. Yes I lucked out that my next door neighbor has been going to Atlantic Auto for years and couldn't recommend Victor higher. Made my first appointment this week to take care of some small (State Registration) to large work (replace leaking radiator) and all was delivered on time and decent cost as promised. And like all the other 5-Star reviews, Victor was friendly, knowledgable and a pleasure to entrust my car too. Next on my list: doctor and hardware and I'm moved in! Thanks Victor! read more

I went to get my vehicle inspection done here and they saw me straight away (even with other cars in the shop!). They were so friendly and patient (first time doing this). Will be taking our other car there for its oil change etc. In the near future. read more

This place is a life saver! I had to come in at the last minute to do the carco inspection for my insurance and they did it for me without an appointment. I felt so badly for showing up without an appointment as it's required, but they accommodate me and got it done quickly. Please make an appt for them and don't make my mistake, but know they are great read more

So upset experience! I did a regually car maintaince there, but my engine leaked monitor oil heavily the very next day! I went there and told them that I just did maintaince yesterday, but they acted like it's none of their business. Finally, fixing my engine costed my over $300, and they didn't give me any discount even I asked multiple times. read more

Victor is the man! Had a great experience getting my car tuned up there. I came in needing an oil change and was a little worried about my brakes because they felt sort of weak, so I asked him to take a look at those. Turns out my car had an axle issue, not a brake issue, which was reassuring he found that because it could have turned into a safety issue. It felt good knowing too that my brakes weren't an issue when some chain places could have just made something up about them for an extra charge. Victor had the work done quickly (dropped off at 8am, got it back at 8am the next day) and for a fairly reasonable price, no nonsense "inspection" charges or other stuff a lot of chains get away with. Will definitely return for future repairs and maintenance! read more

Squeezed me in today for a couple of urgent inspections needed, and the 40 min wait turned into only 15 min. No hidden costs or hassle. Very quick and honest service! read more

Quoted me at $20 bucks to patch a tire. Realized I needed an additional patch so he patched it and didnt charge me. Job well done!

Gave me a great deal on fixing an evap leak! Will be coming back to do more work on my car!

My husband and I were on our way home to Asheville, N.C. from Maine when we broke down in White Plains. We were steered to Victor from a shop up the road that could not fix our vehicle. He was like a guardian angel. He could have robbed us blind, we had no choice but to get the van fixed to get home. He was honest, more than fair with his pricing, professional, and just a really nice person. He explained everything needed and the choices we had. We were forced to get a hotel room because it was a big problem. He called us and kept us up to date on the progress and really worked to get us back on the road before the weekend. Victor treated us like we were his oldest, most valuable customers. His work was fantastic, we have put another 2500 miles on our vehicle with no problems at all. There are a lot of businesses that could learn a lesson about customer service from this man. The only problem ... he is too far away to use as a regular mechanic. How we wish he would move to the Asheville area. read more

After trying and failing to find another mechanic recommended to me by AutoZone to install new headlights, I came to Atlantic. I needed an oil change and a headlight install. Victor discovered that my headlights hadn't burnt out like I thought, but a small corroded wire cap on both sides was the issue. I dropped my car off at 4pm on a Monday, and had it back at 8:30am Tuesday (only because Victor had to get the caps from elsewhere in town.) The price was fine and I felt well taken care of. read more

Can't say enough about what a great experience I had with this mechanic. I've been meaning to write this review for some time. I was in White Plains visiting from NYC when the check engine light for my Prius came on. I was so happy to find find someone who could fix my hybrid at such a reasonable price. I needed a new coolant radiator. He was honest and quick, he even showed me the parts after he replaced them. I wish he was closer to NYC, I'd take my car to him for all of my repairs. read more

My car broke down near White Plains and based on yelp reviews I took it to Victor at Atlantic Auto. He was super helpful, generous with his time and honest. I would have had to replace the engine (which I decided not to do because I live in NYC and don't really need a car) and he was thorough and non-pressuring in explaining my options. I would have felt comfortable going forward with him. Many other mechanics I called weren't straight with me or gave me outrageous quotes. Advice is key in these situations and I appreciated the help! read more
